The window shades on my Oliver Trailer has a similar style window shades and I was able to pull them off and turn them so the room darkening pulls up from the bottom.
So, most all of the things you mentioned are a problem for me. Mine doesn't have that annoying light below the booth. Grateful for that. Some other things that are annoying. The sorry fart fan in the shower. I replaced that with a fantastic fan. The slideout kitchen. Sounds good but it only has cold water. So much weight for a cheap dometic cooktop. That will be removed. Camper is super front heavy. Add water to fix? Better weight distribution? The bed..not great. Hard to change sheets and the closets are not easy to get to. It's a small camper so, meh. The command station looks great but lights up the cabin at night with red light. I can cover that easily. Lots of things were broken when I bought it in February, dealer still hasn't repaired them and it is now September (blames Black Series, who knows). Not a 4 season camper. I knew that when I bought it but it. I need address that sometime. All that being said, it isn't a bad trailer. The absolute worse thing, however, is the heater location you mentioned. I'm tall, my feet hang off the bed. They stay toasty. Or should I say, charbroiled? And if the covers fall off the end of the bed, I hope they are fireproof. Anyway, glad to see someone else has an HQ15.
The CO2/LP gas alarm. Continued to go off when hot or cool w air flow in cabin. Hard wired. Removed it to find red/black on unit just twisted to red/blue cabin wire...not professionally wired/shielded. Plan is to buy battery operated CO2 detector. Another getting used to is waste tube on rear of camper and if you mostly use shore power, water, etc. you must make sure you have 20 ft or better waste hose. I too do not like all the persistent lights on at night... control panel, dinette floor runway lights and only way to turn off is master switch ..Dinette cushions - good assessment, too bulky and never stay up. AC only working on shore power or generator means generator is a must for off grid in remote high temps. I still LOVE many features that I'm getting used to ...this is a major upgrade from 2015 T@B 🙂. All bedding included..bonus!! Mood lighting fun. Entire bathroom, shower w new door style - yes!! Small but very nice sink with well positioned and movable faucet...like. Cabinetry is mine is tricky w press/slam to open/close, but looks nice. I like how the TV moved to dinette and more plugs there... Know that you can't use standard hitch with this bad boy...but really ups the ruggedness of my tow vehicle!!

After looking at Black, I ended up with an MDC 16 East West. Quality and features wins hands down. Things like lack of USB outlets surprised me and told me there would be other issues.
Personally I think you can review any RV and find issues but the issues you found are all really simple to live with or adjust. Sounds a little petty, but I do respect your views, it does help, a little.
Great info! Going to be getting a HQ17 here in the future. I have looked at too many options for campers and they are all the same as far as the issues of crap design details and fit and finish. But the BS campers have in my opinion just a better frame and I like the layout. No slides and limited moving parts. I'll have to look and see if the 17 has the same light bar at the dinette. If so that wire is the first to get cut. 🤣
The vent and subwoofer is shocking that nobody in design or production has not noticed that. I would forgo the dinette for a larger fridge/freezer and add an oven. I would pass on the outdoor kitchen and pack a portable charcoal grille if I wanted to cook outside. I love the bathroom size, solar power and queen size bed. And the overall look is great.
Glad I bought a 2020 HQ15. On mine there is a cabinet where the base speaker is. We put a lot of groceries in there on long trips. My bench seats and table are on the floor so no light. Don’t understand why they raised it. The refrigerator is on the floor which makes it inconvenient but we have a nice drawer for cooking utensils above it. I have completely modified mine so I have none of the other problems you talked about. I absolutely love it now.
Check you wheel bearings. If like my HQ19 the thrust washers are too thin and bend. Also upgrade your tires to E rated. All in all these are good units.

I had the same issue with that blue light so I just pulled that board off to see about installing a manual switch but found it easier to just cut it and to not worry about the light. Thinking about installing a black diamond plate instead lol

In 2020 they moved from a 100 ah AGM battery to four 100 ah AGM batteries and 300 watts of solar. In 2022, they increased the solar panel wattage but I believe they are now the flexible low profile panels...ugh.
I'm actually not sure. There is foam insulation on the underside and vinyl flooring inside. I have no idea what the sub floor is. I assume it's a synthetic material or aluminum but now you have me wondering.

I did have plans to do a likes video but the trailer is currently and has been at the dealership for over a month getting warranty repairs done. We'll see if I have to do it before it sells.

Also, if you do not plug in and you do not use a generator, the heat pads would likely drain your battery if you left them on overnight. I recommend you do the math on the power draw vs your battery capacity. So what, you like to buy things first and figure out all the problems afterwards just so you can complain?

Be aware these Black series are not built like at the beginning . There building them with cheap components. I can tell compare to 4 years ago I’ve been following BS with ROA . At the beginning they were awesome and built well. Cheap components from China. I will not buy one Price has dropped down quite a bit. I back down from buying one here on New Mexico for 59,000 BS 19.they are falling apart. ROA stopped selling them.
Just watched a video of this same unit from 2 years ago done by a factory guy. The unit he showed looks nothing like this one on the interior. The model he showed looks very high end, again it’s the interior, compared to your unit. Just one example is the dinette which is done in a beautiful black stitched faux marine grade leather. Looks nothing like yours. Looks like they downgraded. Take look if you get a chance.
Agreed...not sure why they swapped the dinette style...the black looked more solid, stable...maybe they were going for comfort and those were too hard?
Your right . There not the same. They’ve gotten cheap with poor quality components . The drawer’s are not the same . They pop right open while transit. I heard there falling apart. China built.

I don't think so either. Even at 50 psi, which is about the max rated psi, the tire looks like it's going flat.

I haven't yet. It's actually been in the shop for many many months. When I get it back I will be able to work on it again.
