Been watching anime since childhood, I think a lot of anime fans have periods where we simply don’t watch anything which is ok 😊 however it has changed for me, in the past few years there has been a wave of great anime shows. Also I filled a lot of gaps during the lockdowns and rediscovered my passion for anime. Never thought I’d have ONE favorite anime, but Gintama stole my heart, jokes and arcs that make you cry Samurai tears. Also got a habit of watching live action based on anime and currently reading Jujutsu Kaisen, gotta be prepared for the movie 😎 Got back to drawing as well thanks to anime, though I don’t tend to draw that’s kind of style. Thanks for showing us Tokyo during those times, hopefully the situation will get better next year!
As long as Elizabeth is in it.....it will have my full attention. My favorite Gintama parody is when gin and sougo were dueling on the riverside. Gin went in to full berserk parody and they ended flinging poo at each other. Also the uwee arc was hilarious and felt every bit of that. The waiting in line gags killed me.
I can't stop recommending Scissor Seven on Netflix! It's a Chinese anime, but it's a great mix of shonen and comedy and the art style is beautiful. Great video as always, Reina Senpai!!

It’s kind of hard to explain, but a part of me also took the hiatus because I didn’t wanna be emotionally ripped apart by anime, which happens a lot when you watch and consume A LOT 😅 especially during the last 2 years, I just wanted to watch stuff that was comforting, like sitcoms or feel good movies 🍿

Love Love love Kanda Myojin Shrine! I was first introduced through Love Live! School Idol Project. I love that anime but that anime made me love that shrine. I'm glad you got to see it in person. The BGM you used while you were at the Kanda Myojin shrine made me think that a certain other CZcamsr, Vanishing Underground, was about to start one of his "Evolution of the Network" videos. That channel has used that same BGM when introducing such videos for a while and I'm so used to it by now.

No wayyyy!!!! I was kinda blown away by that shrine, it was so so so much bigger than I expected and it had a lot of historically preserved artifacts on display (like the 3 lions on the waterfall, the stone water trough, etc) I was amazed 😌💛⛩
Been watching a lot of BLEACH lately. Think it's because I'm still hyped over the new arc Tite Kubo is going to be releasing and the fact that it's just an entertaining binge watch. I used to have Rukia's soul glove (the red fingerless glove with the blue flamed skull) but I have no idea what happened to it. 😞 But other than that I'm a bit sad because my Inuyasha figure I pre-ordered got pushed back again - this time all the way to New Years eve!!!! (All because of the shipping crisis here.) On a positive note though I got 90% of my Christmas shopping done so I only got a few things to pick up and then I'll be done. Glad you had a good time again in Akihabara!

SAME. I'm kinda unhappy about how ecchi it randomly gets (like why.) but I THINK it's supposed to get more serious / plot driven, too! Or Maybe that's just me being really hopeful. I read a few chapters of the manga last year and it was significantly scarier than how it's depicted in the anime!
That Kanda Myojin Shrine has now been put on my to do list when I'm finally able to enter Japan! Also, what face mask are you wearing? It almost looks like it has a moving lower piece. It also seems like it doesn't fog up your glasses, so I'm interested in getting some for myself.
Kanda Myojin, not only is this shrine featured in the Love Live! anime series (Nozomi is a shrine maiden there), but you can also get charms for your laptop or tablet PC to appease the machine spirits or get good gacha luck.
It's definitely a must-see! Especially if you enjoy Love Live, Stein's Gate, or Is The Order a Rabbit? I'm wearing a mask from a brand called iSDG and this shape is super popular in Japan right now; it's called a "diamond shape" face mask, it fits really nicely around the face and makes it considerably easier to breathe. (there aren't any moving mouth pieces though, I think it just looked like that in the vlog)
Its a graphic novel (now at vol 6) so not manga as most listed in the comments, but I love Monstress by Majorie Liu and Sana Takeda. Great storyline and characters and the artwork is to die for.

Mieruko-Chan is gold. If you like some more spooky stuff, Digimon Ghost Game, it's not connected to the other digimon so you can watch it stand-alone. The Vampire dies in No Time, is pure comedy gold, I'm crying of laughter with each episode. Visual Prison is, yet another, Vampire anime, but quite different, it's more about music, and Visual Kei I guess, very good music. Sakugan!! is my last recommendation of this season, it's a sweet Made in Abyss X Gurren Lagan mix of a Father + Daughter story, it's developing quite well IMO.

Akihabara is great for window shopping and pricing research, another place to go for "culture" is Nakano. GYG takeout is ok as a consolation prize, that stuff rocks. Looking forward to when Japan opens up travel to the general public, hopefully by the time the Shizuoka Hobby Show rolls around.
Seeing that K-On is leaving Netflix the 14th, I've finally hunkered down to watch and am halfway thru S2, so I should be able to finish in time, but i also have been just in love with Yashahime. Cannot wait for The Final Season Part Two of SNK, and then I plan on catching up with Dr Stone and try Tokyo Revengers. Also looking forwards to the SAO: Progressive movie. Now I'm considering watching Gintama, but there is also others in my queue right now.
It’s a really dreamy store, if you’re a sailor moon fan I highly recommend it! There’s also a smaller sailor moon apparel store right across from it and they often have an elaborate sailor moon cosplay on display there! So fun 🌙

Kyushu Jangara Ramen is 🔥🔥🔥! I go to the one in Harajuku/Omotesando every time I'm in Tokyo.

Seeing that K-On is leaving Netflix the 14th, I've finally hunkered down to watch and am halfway thru S2, so I should be able to finish in time, but i also have been just in love with Yashahime. Cannot wait for The Final Season Part Two of SNK, and then I plan on catching up with Dr Stone and try Tokyo Revengers. Also looking forwards to the SAO: Progressive movie. Now I'm considering watching Gintama, but there is also others in my queue right now.

It’s a really dreamy store, if you’re a sailor moon fan I highly recommend it! There’s also a smaller sailor moon apparel store right across from it and they often have an elaborate sailor moon cosplay on display there! So fun 🌙
