After she died and got resurrected, she has definitely changed drastically and became stronger than before. That's why we'll be taking a look at just how powerful our Purple Empress Shion truly is and see if she truly is best secretary.

This might have been said, but Shion did evolve into a true demon lord. She just didn't get an ultimate ability, but she became a Fighting Oni. Very similar to Benimaru, but uses physical techniques as spirit striking attacks

@@lukeprovan6490 are you sure? In LN 17 or 16 during the face off against the empire when each person was in a separate room (I believe) she was one of the ones who activated an ultimate skill in order to win their fight.
Great Sage/Raphael/Ciel helped most of Rimuru's most powerful followers to gain ultimate skills including Diablo/Benimaru and possibly even gave some help to Veldora gaining an ultimate skill. But didn't help Shion because her having an ultimate skill evolved from Chef would make her capable of killing Rimuru? That implies that the others having ultimate skills are not a threat, or at least not as much of a threat as Shion would be.
That says a lot about how powerful Shion is, even if part of why she is a potential threat to Rimuru comes from what specific Unique/Ultimate skills do.
she awakened in volume 15 , she became a heavenly enemy like existence to spiritual beings. she can fight ultimate skill holders because of the power of her will and the mythical upgrade to heracles's edge

Perfect memory is a skill that allows the user to be able to be resurrected without memory loss.Another one of its ability is an ammunity towards mental/spirit type attack (the kind of attack that interferes with the mind,like the domination orb spell).
No it has nothing to do with memory lost it’s to make resurrection perfect without mistakes it’s makes them able resurrect in first place they wouldn’t be able do it without that skill . the skill allows them to keep their spiritual body from physical so if they get killed they can come back even if it was obliterated

To satisfy anyone who is curious on whether or not shion gained an ultimate skill later on, I will say this. While I don't if currently has one in the Light novel(still reading vol 14) but in the web novel gained one through sheer willpower called tyrant king susanoo, which had the following abilities,
Complete control over the law of causality
In a time stopped world, where all other phenomenon have ceased, the user's will is given absolute priority.
In a moving world, where there are many phenomenon in motion, the user's will influences all outcomes, but is not absolute.
In other words it was her unique skill cook/master chef on steroids. Personally I hope she does gain one in the future cause in the end it would be to secure the future of Tempest, plus I think ciel was overreacting to idea of shion becoming too powerful to control since a) shion loves Rimuru too much to betray him, and b) Rimuru connection to his subordinates gives him all their skills which would include shion, and with ciel helping him he would be able to her skill better, so Rimuru would pretty much be safe.
Thoughts?

Overall that skill is broken, unpredictable, and invincible as she gas access to manipulate reality freely into her own will. It's a power too much for Shion to wield.
@@luckytako633 maybe so, but with how things are going in the light novels, shion may still gain it through force of will while fight dagruel and his brothers like in the web novels, only difference is maybe during said fight she'll feel rimuru momentarily disappear because of feldway throwing him in that space-time portal, which will cause her to snap and gain her ultimate skill albeit with new subskills that she has as a divine fighter, being her infinite regeneration, mortal fear, and so on, and with her ultimate skill she might be able to warp reality to bring Rimuru back. But that's just a guess of mine

Great vid, but she did evolve in the battle on the airship. That's why her value is that high, her skill is the only thing Ciel did not touch, unlike the others. I don't think her skill evolution is sealed too, Ciel just did not assist her evolution leaving her to evolve it by her self. I think before the series ends she will awaken her ultimate skill by her self.
No. Raphael sealed it. Because even raphael said shion’s insane skill somehow have percentage to kill rimuru. She’s not even changed after becoming true demon lord. But after rimuru becoming a true dragon and ciel was born. Rimuru obtained void god azzatoth so now ciel believe shion cant kill rimuru anymore. So when shion nearly die when battle with insectar under rudra, ciel help her to get her ultimate skill susanoo and shion evolved into war spirit oni.

@@WebStoryME I think you are mixing some aspects of the WN with the LN. In the ship Ciel said that Shion is a bunch of possibilities hence they did not know how best to assist her evolution. Her evolution path was settled in the battle against the insecter in Rudra's team but her unique skills remained unchained. That's why I believe she will awaken Susanoo by her own means before the series ends

Shion might end of getting her Ultimate skill in next Volume (Vol.20), when she fights a an even stronger oponent than the last one she fought (I.e., the single digit insect type).

@@chunchunmaru5676 is the "she" you are referring to Shion, and if the "it" you are referring to is an altimate skill, then yeah that's wrong. Yeah the latest volume of the Light Novel is vol.19 and the author said that the LN will end in 3 volumes.

yeah i really thought about this, that out of all subordinates of rimuru, shion isnthe only one who can actually kill rimuru just because of her weapon alone, and just to add her unique skill thats a total of a 100% death for rimuru if shes givin enough power to do so. so if someday she will have an ultimate skill she would replace diablo as top 1 subordinates of rimuru!

In the Old WN, Shion did acquired an Ultimate Skill "Susanoo", but... Well, that was the WN, LN changed a lot of things in terms of the flow of events and changed bits and pieces of info of each character, so... She'll definitely gain one.
Shion is experienced in fighting people like Zegion who belong to the insect type demon race (e.g., Rahzul and the single-digit woman), so it would be a good fight between Zegion and Shion.
You're biased eh? Zegion is trained by veldora and named by rimuru and zegion is in the lineage of tempest family, razul is just named by zelanus or is it rosso? I forgot but the main point is razul is just a normal general level of insectar species
@@aniupstv8480 That might be right, but it doesn't have anything to go against my statement. Zegion in the begin was just an average Insect type. It's thanks to Rimuru; giving him part of his flesh, naming him, letting him live in the labyrinth (while constantly absorbing magicules), getting trained by Veldora, and probable improving himself even more, that lead him rise to be one of the 3 strongest of Rimuru's subordinates.
Being in the lineage of Rimuru's family is name that special in Tempest, because he named all those monsters under him. Even Ranga's Race changed from direrwolf (probably got their former name wrong) to Tempest star wolf.
Also, even though Rahzul was only a general level, doesn't disprove the fact that he was strong, protecting the Kindom of Ingracia for hounded of years from Guy's demons. He was named by Granbell Rosso, not Feldway btw. Even Diablo valued him as a strong oponent, worrying that Shion and Ranga might not have been able to beat him. Also Shion rate of growth in battle skills should not be underestimated. She's pretty strong as well.
All I am saying is that even though Zegion is better than Shion in EP and Skills, doesn't mean that she cannot put up a fight against him. She might even have the potential to defeat him sine of the time (just because a character is stronger the the oponent he is fighting, doesn't mean he can't lose against them). From Ciel's comment, Shion has the potential to harm Rimuru, so if she can do that to him then of course she can hurt Zegion.

Even if he was from that same race of Zelanus (a powerful Insect type Race that rivals the demons), doesn't disprove the fact that Zegion was average in strength before he met Rimuru. The reason why he grew so strong is because of the various events which I've listed before.
2. I don't know your definition of the word "linage". According to the 2 definitions it means; "a direct descent from an ancestor; ancestry or pedigree". Or "a sequence of species each of which is considered to have evolved from its predecessor".
The thing Veldora, Rimuru and The direwolces have in common is that their surname of changed to Tempest. I don't see how that relates to Zegion. Or do you mean that because Rimuru shared part of his skin/cells with him, that is how he entered into his linage? I don't see it that way. To me, that's just similar to when someone donates a long to someone in need in hospital. The only benefits Zegion from having his cells is not only healed his lost body parts but also gained part of his powers. Which is stated in the LN. I believe every monster that his named by Rimuru became part of his lineage, cause they get part of his powers from naming them.
3. Just because Zegion can fight on par with Veldora (like the LN stated) doesn't mean he can outfight him. That would mean Zegion can win in a fight against Veldora? Which is highly disagreeable. Also you don't know whether Shion can't do it, since she never even have a sparing match with him, and it didn't mention it in the LN.

Lineage is where you inherit the surname but in case of TenSura inheritance of surname is powerboost but when talking to being descendant of course zegion came from insectars, being same in lineage and favorite of ciel is incredible feat.

As I recall in chapter 217 of the web novel I think she gained the Ultimate Skill: Tyrannous Lord Susano Which allowed her to put up a better fight against Demon Lord Dagruel though she still lost due to not being strong enough.
Yeah. So far the light Novel is following Web novels story. Only minor details were changed but the main plot has remained the same.

Shion's evolution to True Demon Lord was delayed because Shion felt she was truly worthy to serve Rimuru because she had died and believed that Rimuru always had to save her. Thanks to Demon Lord Luminus and Veldora, she garnered the confidence necessary to evolve during the fight.
She should've gain an ultimate skill called Gordon Ramsay
Shion and Oother's from the 12 Patrons can use haki like Religh in Once piece. The can knock knock out lower level being's with their haki one.
Shion did evolve into a demon lord but just that her appearance didn't change just like Diablo and the 3 demoness.
But Ciel/Raphael did block her ultimate skill because it was too unpredictable.

During her battle with Dagrull her master chef skill will probably evolve into an ultimate skill called, Tyrannous king Susanoo. This hasn't been shown in the light novel yet [will probably be shown in volume 20 coming out this month ending] but in the web novel she did gain the skill.
In the Web novel her evolution was halted as well but she eventually gained her ultimate skill when she fought dagruel but from what I remember she still lost though.

I think she would always be a wicked oni because of her beliefs. She thought that anyone weak didn’t matter and if they died it was their own fault. She already had a demon mind set. It was hakorou and the rest of the elders wanted shion to overcome this mentality.
I never understood why Ciel didn't want Shion to evolve into a True Demon Lord. I mean, Ciel was worried that one day Shion could turn on Rimuru but that doesn't make since to me. Why would she did that and if Ciel though that, why not think that about ANY of the other people that Rimuru had evolve, especially the demons. I think if Shion found out that was the reason she'd be hurt by that.

Shion's "perfect memory" and notes are only of Rimiru hence how she kept recounting the wrong names in the intelligence she gathered when interrogating the prisoners, forcing them to guess who she actually meant each time (they do show that her notes were all drawings of Rimiru in slime form).
I would assume that Shion's gift from Rimiru's ascension (descent) to a demon Lord was her resurrection and the rapid regeneration skills from that.

the reason she didn’t get an ultimate skill in the empire arc in the LN is because Ciel thinks shion getting an ultimate skill will give her a chance of actually harming rimuru seriously, “the overpowered Rimuru” so Ciel stopped her evolution, since she can already kill someone with an ultimate skill, she’ll eventually get the ultimate skill though,
even now she’s way more overpowered than people with ultimate skill, and they are probably trash compared to her lol

Wrong, Shion did evolve, yes Ciel chose not to help her obtain an Ultimate Skill because she would then have the potential to kill Rimuru but she did evolve during her fight in Volume 15 against the Insectar. the reason she did not do so during the ceremony is because she had many options for evolution, she ignored Raphael (or the voice of the world) who told her to choose but latter on in Vol 15 Ciel made the chose for her.

@@Velkuna14 you could say that, basically this skill give to her will priority over anything, and in a world where the time is stopped her will have the highest priority, but i think that, just like master chef, it still need contact to activate. A ultimate skill worthy of the name “tyrant” ( keep in mind that I don’t remember everything about it, so it might not be 100% true what i just said)

*Cook*: Allows Shion to obtain a desired effect with her attacks. She can overwrite the very nature of an object itself. Shion cut down the limbs of target with her attack which couldn't be healed even with full recovery magic because Shion made that target's limbless state the norm as if he's perfectly fine already. Using it's matter altering properties, Shion can also boost her stats.
*Ultimate Skill*
*Tyrant King Susanoo*: The ability of unique skill "Cook", to "bring a desired result of the user" evolved into complete manipulation over the law of causality. It is not prediction, but purposefully causing a result that is intended. Shion's will is given the highest priority over all cause and effect. It also has the ability to control any kind of riotous energy.
*Perfect Memory EX*: Allows the soul to return safely from the dead for an unlimited amount of times with all the memories.
*Endless Regeneration EX*: No matter how many times she dies, she will always regenerate as long as her soul is alive.
*Multi Layer Barrier*: A thin, colorless, invisible coating covering the entire body. It's a Barrier, consisting of several layers. It doesn't require much magic energy to keep going.
*Spatial Travel*: Allows immediate transfer to a place she has visited before. It is categorized as a space-time magic.
*Magic Perception*: The ability to perceive the surrounding magical energy. Allows 360 degrees vision leaving no blindspots.
*War Goddess Transformation*: Increases the physical power of body which is transferred into the soul body, making her a powerful intangible being.
*Chaotic Fate*: An attack which alters the outcome. It can even negate the effect of the opponent's technique, it can be described as a slash that brings the result that Shion wishes for. In a sense, it's the ability to manipulate the fate. Even if the fate said that it could not be cut, it will get cut.
