This song reminds me of Spirit of America. Scott is an excellent musician , singer and a real nice humble guy

The singer is Scott Totten, who has toured with the Beach Boys since 2001.

A ballad about a guy's car, his '32 Ford. You gotta' love it. Classic Beach Boys. It was from the LP "Little Deuce Coupe" and other car songs like "This Car of Mine" and "Spirit of America"

Scott Totten does a fantastic job on a very difficult lead vocal. -------Just TRY this anyone who doubts how tricky this is ! -------------------------------Wolfsky9, 72 y/o

Yea this guy doesnt have the sweet voice to pull it off, if you have Brian and his backup band then they should have done it with them.

well Jeffery Foskett is on the stage...he should've sang it....he sang all Brian's parts in both the Beach Boys and Brian's solo group. Sasly he's battling cancer and no longer tours... I saw Brian last week and Matt Jardine sang all the falsetto parts and he was phenominal

robin2012ism He was on the 50th anniversary tour which this concert here was part of. He's on our left their right on piano. I saw this tour when they came to Denver Colorado he was also there and having a total blast too shouting out to his wife and adopted kids who were in the audience and he sounded great that night!

GO listen to the original, Scott ruins this completely wrong timbre to his voice. The rest of the group do a wonderful job with the harmonies but Jeff would have been much better singing lead on this.

Anyone who thinks Scott isn't doing this beautifully, just needs to try doing it. Like ALL of BW's music, it sounds easy, until you try to do it. ------------Great job. Scott. ----------------------------------------WolfSky9, 72 y/o

I actually really like his delivery here, compared to the less precise chest voice style that Brian and Jeff Foskett have. Also I think it's really great to showcase the individual talents of the backing group for a song or two.
