- What we eat in a week as a family of 12 living in NYC. It's always a challenge to keep the kids all fed and happy but I'm so grateful for all of the help! The oldest 5 and Marc are super able in the kitchen and while I still take on a sous chef role, they are whizzes at chopping up veggies and following a recipe. When I met Marc he loved to cook, but when we got married I took on all or at least most of the cooking, Now that things are so crazy schedule wise with all of the music and keeping up with things like baby appointments and social media, the kids and Marc are such a blessing in the kitchen! Naomi especially loves to bake which is so fun for all of the kids! Homemade treats are always the yummiest! We cook a lot of veggie soups, both for health and to help economically. We do eat meat, but we usually just have it from time to time. Thankfully the kids have come to appreciate a warm bowl of soup with some yummy bread. 😊 #largefamilylife #largefamilymeals #familyof12 #momof10

The girls putting makeup each other reminds me of my sister teaching me how to apply makeup. She is 6 years older than me. One of the best memories! So glad they have each other! Baby 11 will be blessed by all her big sisters and brothers!

My family makes stroganoff like that, but we put peas in it too! And a TIP for the girls - when using makeup brushes, hold the brush closer to the end for a lighter touch but even application of color. It is always buildable by adding more. Have fun blending and discovering how fun eyeshadow is!

My daughter danced pre-professional ballet for 16 years, and danced the Nutcracker every Christmas. Every year I bought 2-3 new Nutcrackers from the fundraiser at the dance school for our home. 4 foot ones for the front door, and about 30 smaller ones. Not to mention the small ones on the tree! I finally just donated all of them, and said goodbye to my obsession! I sort of want to buy one this year after seeing your’s on the table lol

Elijah always appears to want to help with meal prep and dishes etc which is a good help for you , you keep yourself healthy and fit with all the walking I am sure your labour will be a breeze for you, I was like you I had a 42 weeks gestation period so was always induced although I did go into Labour naturally before they got to induce me my last pregnancy which was great that's when they decided I had 42 week pregnancies 🥴

I made the Chickpea and Leek Soup from recent “What we eat in a week.” My Thanksgiving guest loved it. It was so easy and yet so tasty. (For even easier prep I used 4 cans of chickpeas and it was amazing.)

Yes! The kids are excited for snow! It usually snows more in January and February here I think.
All you need for a perfect beef stew is the meat and veggies... and a gemerous portion of McCormick brown gravy mix. Put cold water into a jar... add way toouch gravy mix and shake! Pour over meat and veggies... add at least one box of beef broth. Amazing. Nothing but salt, pepper, garlic and onion else needed.

Yes! We usually eat cereal or eggs and toast for breakfast and snacks usually are quesadillas or sandwiches, fruit, toast or yogurt.
Juice from tomatoes is delicious in rice or addrd to the soup

You can also use cream cheese if not all your kids like sour cream on stroganoff. It makes it creamer and folds noodles into meat.

Love everything about your family but I really do wish you guys start a stockpile if even a month ahead in food. Stockpile are so vital especially with a large family you never know what might happen. I know you don't have any space but if even to put some storage containers under your beds.
Yes! I do try to keep extra beans and rice but I’d like to keep more. We don’t have a garage or basement but I would love to rent out the basement of the place we are living if it was available (and we can afford it). The storage would be so nice!
I’m surprised you don’t have one of the bigger kids go with you to the Dr and other errands especially since you are nearing the end of this pregnancy.
I know lot of people travel alone but it isn’t safe like it used to be to be. 😊
Yes! They usually go with me if I’m out later. The mornings are pretty safe but definitely important to be cautious!

😂 In England, the home of Worcestershire Sauce, we actually call it (as pronounced), "Wooster" sauce, but the whole word is, "Woostersheer" sauce. But it always makes me smile that it's so difficult for Americans. One older CZcamsr calls it, "Who's your sister" sauce which is fantastic!
