Hey everyone! I'm aware of an issue from 11:24 - 12:54
None of the video is missed out on.
Working on fixing it ASAP. Please just skip the 90 seconds for now!
thought it was just me for a moment mate!
…even for an iPhone user this was a great vid to watch….
What about Boarding Passes - they do NOT WORK (like Google Wallet)
They are supposed to work on Google or Samsung Wallet
🙏need to use userscript & custom css ...
not sure how to .. thanks
This guy is definitely Pro Samsung. But if he has good information for our Samsung phones and devices, and we have Samsung phones then we should put this information to good use.
Well if I'm not wrong he used to work with samsung.
That's how I feel. I've actually been using Bixby for years just cause it's native to the phone.
it's been getting better and better over time
Great vid as always, Daniel! 🔥
Samsung Internet has always been my main (and for a good while now -only-) browser on my Galaxies ever since 2015, as that's around the time it got a big revamp from the pre-S6 era and started receiving a lot of really useful features; mainly support for adblockers and the built-in video player. In more recent times, I've even gone as far as force-uninstalling Chrome from my Galaxies with the help of ADB commands, mainly after I moved away from it to Edge on my Samsung Book. Google is just a nightmare when it comes to privacy, so I've been trying to reduce my usage of its services and products as much as reasonably possible.
Additionally, another big reason for Samsung Internet to be my only browser is exactly something you mentioned in the video itself: the ecosystem. As a fellow Samsung fan, I also prefer to have everything integrated into my Samsung ecosystem as much as possible, helping me organize my things and have a much more seamless experience in general. And that's not to even mention the perfect integration it has with Samsung Pass!
Yes! Samsung internet has MANY features but I use FireFox to my data from tracking. I do NOT use the AI features offered on my Samsung phone and prefer privacy over ease of use.
Are you sure Firefox is not tracking you?
@@hoangduongle7600 ; Do you Think Samsung browser does NOT track you? All Chrome does is track everything you do in it! Plus with the MANY extensions out there tracking is brought even lower.
ok first off, firefox tracks you as much as any other browser does. also, in the settings, you can change AI features to work ON THE DEVICE so that no data is actually sent into the cloud.
@user-ok6uo6cz1c That's not true at all, they do track stuff but nowhere near to the extent Chrome does. It's all a moot point on a modern Android phone though.
Even if you spend the half hour it takes to go find all the settings, including those hidden in dev tools, you'll still be using an Android phone that tracks a lot of data about you anyway. Got to keep that in mind when weighing convenience vs usability, if you've not gone to the full extent to install a custom de-googled Android OS then sometimes you're just making your life harder for no good purpose. That said Firefox is a good browser and you can still use add-ons like ad block which isn't the case for too many Android browsers now.
I've started using it. Last week, it was pretty awesome.
@AppleReviews Despite the passwords I use in the browser, I respectfully copy them from Google Passwords and add them to Samsung Pass. I have most of them now, and it hasn’t been a significant inconvenience thus far.
The Samsung browser is VERY good and has many features but for me on multiple platforms Samsung just doesn't do it for me because syncing between those platforms is a MUST for me. That's why I use Firefox because of the extension ability on Android and other platforms and just works the best for me. Everyone has their individual needs/wants. Chrome is just too memory/CPU hungry on the Windows platform IMO.
@@johnszatkowski6898 What issues do you have with syncing? Whenever I'm on Samsung Internet on my phone, I can easily continue that same tab on my tablet by just opening up Sasmung Internet and choosing the option. The clipboard also syncs across devices, so what issues have you been having?
This was excellent!! Yours is one of the only CZcams pages I have alerts setup for.
The 360 camera. Do you still use it? I have it and was wondering if I could use it via samsung upcyle as the s9 plus won't show up as a camera.
I love the Samsung browser. Reading articles with no ads is huge bonus......much better than Chrome simplified page
So, if im using the Galaxy summerize feature for shorting up text, is the show reader mode button in useful features still worth using?
Hi, could you recommend a phone setup for someone with my needs? I frequently use MS Office at client sites, travel a lot, and need a compact setup that still offers enough screen space for presentations and extensive Excel work. What would be the perfect mobile, yet compact and high-performance /reliable fit for me?
Thanks for this, I am switching. Keep your great videos coming!
My sentiments exactly with the Samsung internet browser. It's unfair how much better it is then the others.
Than.
NOT then.
Agreed
you'll live @@PSYCHOV3N0M
interesting, I'll look into the whole bookmarks linking thing and if it works, you've convinced me.
Great video as always ... I've been using Samsung Internet Beta for years now ... I even used it when I used a Google Pixel 8 Pro for a few months ... Much easier to navigate and I know where everything's at.
Thanks for this video. I always thought the Samsung native browser was somewhat limited and inferior but now I see it's just the opposite. I'll definitely give it a try 👍
I had written off almost everything until just about the end where you mentioned the Samsung plug-in for Edge. That was EXACTLY why I had resisted this browser. Great job!
Another feature I love that wasnt mentioned was the button to go to the top of a webpage and to the bottom. They appear as little buttons at the bottom (right above the task bar) which quickly move uou around the website.
Thank you so much for this incredibly detailed and helpful Samsung Internet guide! I'm excited to make the switch and take advantage of all the awesome features you highlighted. Your thorough walkthrough makes it easy to get started. Much appreciated!
Yeah i have been sticking with it since i got a Note 10+ back in 2019 and still stuck with it now with S24 Ultra. Really love the summary feature, TLDR instantly. And yeah video player is handy, can even download a video directly if the site allows it.
But how do you import bookmarks, passwords from Vivaldi? Probably just me but I get stuck every time I think of switching ☺☺
I am using version 25.0.1.3. Looks different than this video? Maybe just your settings vs mine?
Three best browsers I found for android are Microsoft edge and or opera and kiwi browser
01 edge support desktop with tabs that are visible and synchronize with cross-platform
02 Opera supports desktop with tabs that are visible and synchronize with cross-platform
03 kiwi supports desktop with tabs and has one advantage supports regular chromium based plug-in like ad blockers and other you plug-ins
Thanks I'm giving Samsung Internet another try. Off topic, but which keyboard are you using?
Great browser...ad block facilities and video playback....need we say more?😊
Have tried it a couple of times, but unless it changed recently there was no easy way to import favorites from another browser.
Hi, that was really helpful. I use Firefox on my Windows laptop, can I integrate that into the Samsung browser? Thank you for a really in-depth video about the Samsung browser, it looks just like the sort of thing I would like to use! TFS 👍💖
On Chrome Web Store (which works on all Chromium-based browsers) there is a Samsung Internet extension that allows you to sync your desktop browser bookmarks to Samsung Internet. I don't know if it is available on Firefox though.
Honestly though, Samsung should straight up release Samsung Internet for PC ASAP.
Great video, mate! Can you add a Samsung internet extension to a MacBook Pro? If yes, will it work?
I have been using it on and off for weeks. I'd give it to a proper go thanks for this.
Can it block youtube ads like brave browser?
Thank you for such a detailed video but perhaps you could go a bit slower for those of us that want to actually see what you are showing on the phone as you go
The pause button is your friend.
I can't find the icon for Samsung internet on my phone anywhere, chose chrome during setup and can't find where to change. Your video is great at showing why; but, how to even get it and set it as default in the first place?
Very useful. I started using the Samsung internet browser once they added the AI features.
Super helpful! Thanks 😊
Samsung at its best, just a bunch of useful features
Video assist and the text summerize tool are must haves for me
Another great vid, thank you, keep up the good work
That was interesting. I'll give it a try...
I'll give it a try. Thanks.
It is actually great I have been using it for 8 years
Thanks Daniel. I set this as my default browser after watching ur video
I've been using this and loving it but keep running into messages on sites that says "this browser not supported". Is that normal?
Samsung Pass won't work on a Galaxy Tab A8 X200 (2022) cause it doesn't have a fingerprint sensor, so I can´t get my login info for so many websites when trying to use Samsung Internet... Edge works perfectly.
How about Edge with Co-Pilot ???
I always make Samsung internet my default browser, so easy and convenient, thanks for the tips, there are even more features than I realised 😊
Thank you for the review. I do use it for I think it is a lot more privacy conscious than Chrome.
Been using it for years love it❤
I never used Samsung Internet, always chrome. I decided to try and couldn't believe how much better Samsung Internet was. Dark mode and ad blocker instantly makes it better. I like the layout much more too. Controls at the bottom vs the top on chrome.
Same
I like the fast action button in Opera Touch, but it's starting to get annoying using a different browser in dex, so finally going all in on just the Samsung browser
I'll give it another go, but each time I try and divert from Chrome something pulls me back. Getting sick of how they're adjusting customisation with flags however and making things much harder.
I mean it's the best browser for any android device. Just the fact that there's an desktop like adress bar, with the option to add it to the bottom... Is awesome. :)
What about Passwords and stuff and auto fill options ?
Can they be transferred?
Yes. I exported mine to Samsung Pass and they work really well in Samsung Internet. Also, it helps to have the Samsung keyboard enabled because it has a quick shortcut to passwords. It does take a little getting used to coming from gboard, though. I've stick with it and now am used to it.
Thank you and yes I switched
i use a lot of google translate so i can’t get away from google chrome. on the times i don’t need autotranslate then i use samsung internet cause the bar up top disappears
Ok pls help me to change the search results date of my Samsung internet, which is in Hijri or arabic date. It's really annoying. Everything is in English but only the search results date of each web page. I successfully changed the google browser but not his one. By the way I'm here residing in Dubai. Please help me to change it. Many thanks!
Bookmark works nicely with the Widget...
I mostly use Kiwi. I enjoy all the PC chrome extensions I can add. However, Samsung browser is tuned for DEX mode. No other browser is optimized for that mode. Huge difference in the user experience on DEX mode.
I have not used the Samsung internet prior to seeing this. After watching the video twice I opened my Galaxy and went to the S. I. I have to say that after a week playing with it, I am impressed in what it offers. Thank you.
Can't traslate direct to the the browser dont have Greec and Norwegian languages.
Cant us it.
Yep, will give it a shot.
how to import bookmarks?
Whenever i go into privacy tab i dont have the smart anti tracking option there at all. I cant for the life of me find out why
Excellent info on Samsung Internet browser. Very informative and well-organized. I've subscribed as I need all the useful info I can get regarding anything Samsung.
Duck Duck Go will show you what a free Search actually looks like. It surprised me.
Please correct me if I'm wrong but Samsung Internet does NOT offer the extensions that the FireFox browser for Android offers for blocking and tracking and Ad blocking which is a must today. PLUS I have NO need for the gimicky added AI features the Samsung browser offers. I do NOT use Chrome on my phone or ANY Android device or PC and my default app is FireFox because of the tracking extensions and ad blocking features. This is just my opinion as I have NEVER used the Samsung browser and HATE Chrome or Microsoft's Edge on Android.. The other turn-off for me is Samsung's offering is NOT available on Windows so you CANNOT "sync" tabs like you can with FireFox which works great by the way.
What is your opinion?
What you're saying is not wrong. Firefox is the best for me too, and my browser of choice for adblocking and sync. But to be fair, Samsung and Edge also has extension for adblock.
Things are different if you somehow use DeX, though. Firefox is really bad, if not the worst. Even if you choose Desktop mode, it will mess most of the site's layout. In DeX mode, Chromium-based browser is the best. Your best bet will be Samsung for best experience, or Edge for desktop sync.
While not as good as Firefox's uBO, their adblock is still great, better than nothing.
@@FurqanaFathuzzaman ; Hum I use DEX with Firefox and don't have any issues. You are right Samsung and Edge browsers do offer Adblock but even on my Samsung phone I prefer Firefox. Samsung does NOT have a browser for the PC which I why I don't use it even though it's a very good browser and works WELL with the new AI added features.
Excelente video. Saludos desde Venezuela
Hi it would be nice if you make a video on how to use the samsung ecosystem for office work. So we can learn everything or almost thing I can do. I work with office and have an s24 ultra and a s9 tab. Thanks i follow you from Puerto Rico
Hi there, I have plenty of productivty videos on the channel. Should go through my video list, you'll find a lot of stuff pertaining to work and producitivty!
@@techwithbenefits thanks
Wow I have been searching for this Channel since 2009 but there were only Iphones Channels
Samsung Internet is really great. Thanks for showing this. Now sync from Firefox ;) but I suppose I will import to Chrome, then sync. Now only a "stop Javascript" button. Oh yeah, my favorite ad blocker is not there. But the other features make more then up for it.
Mange saved more than 300 passwords in my Opera browser. Is it possible to transfer those passwords to Samsung browser?
Maybe you can load them in a password manager like Samsung Pass or Google. I switch between devices and browsers so I use the Google password.
You can always add them to the browser password after prompt.
@@willl.3353 thank you. That's a good idea😀
Samsung internet is by far my favorite browser
Hello Thanks for sharing.
It's possible to have samsung Internet in desktop ?
I need it.
There's an extension in Chrome to sync with Samsung Internet, but I haven't used it because the whole point for me is to not have my Google account linked to my Samsung Internet.
Favorites and settings in samsung internet dont transfer over to PC like they would on chrome.
Very informative video
I love Samsung Internet, one bug that is bothering me is, that sometimes the AI translate feature simply doesn't work for me
Samsung user since the SG4. Never have used the Samsung browser.
It' annoying that you can't export your bookmarks in Samsung Internet - so you can't replicate these to another system as you might with chrome / opera / etc
Thanks
I love the Samsumg ecosystem and use it all - except internet. I enjoy web surfing in full size desktop look. Samsung internet will not allow me to see it any way but in mobile version. And yes, I've gone into settings to choose show desktop site. This is not every site, but a lot. Everything shows as a thin column. I'd switch if I could figure out how to correct this issue.
You should try dex with quest 3
The day samsung releases internet for windows along with samsung pass I will make it primary but untill then Its my secondary browser
Alot of people are having problems with the samsung internet browser.
I was trying to load up resume s on the Samsung browser and it gave me some problems
I always been using Samsung's browser. Its always been working for me.
I started using Samsung browser since, i think either S9, or Note 10+.
I personally always avoided Chrome, because of the added security risk using it, that offen isn’t mentioned much, plus a hog on resources.
What about using DuckDuckGo instead of Samsung/Android that's tied to Google?
I stopped using Samsung browser when I went to a website and I got a message stating that the website did not support Samsung internet. I went ahead and downloaded Google Chrome and did not have a problem like that again.
I've been using Microsoft Edge for a long time now. I have not surfed the web with anything google since before the turn of the century.
I've been using Samsung Internet since it's earliest days. Have always preferred it to Chrome. Unfortunately it's not available on iOS.
I use waterfox. And I can install ublock origin on it.
Samsung Internet's integrated video player is sooooo good. If it wasn't for that, I would probably just use Firefox full-time.
It was the sole reason I switched away from Chrome fulltime all those years ago
Splendid Browser...I Use It On Both Of My SAMSUNG Smartphones & Tablet...But Doesn't Completely Work Correctly...
I will switch if it can handle all my passwords from chrome
Nice video
Samsung internet is unexpectedly very good.
I always use sam internet. Got an ad blocker. Works very well.
Shame samsung doesnt allow chrome to be fully removed. Only diabled
Which desktop browser did you say is the best? #notcomingatyou. just didn't hear.
I use Microsoft Edge as my desktop browser!
@@techwithbenefits I'm sorry. Something does not compute. I thought I read Edge...
If it is available on pc, then I will try.
Until there is a desktop version of this browser, I don’t see the point of it; for storing passwords there is a password manager from Google, the same as Samsung Pass
I use both Chrome and Samsung browsers. If Facebook recognized Samsung on the desktop site, I would only use Samsung. But the Facebook app/mobile isn't optimized for tablets, so I still use Chrome a lot on my tablet. This is also why a tablet can never really replace a desktop in my opinion. They don't optimize enough.
Lol… best experience is Firefox with adding - across phone, iPad, and Linux… can send tabs anywhere also can avoid using Google because it’s private…. And not limited (we don’t all use Samsung for everything)
Let's not forget that the chromium version of the Samsung browser is several versions behind Chrome. An may not be as secure as what it could be.
but samsung adblock can't blocked us from the youtube ad
Dont use it for youtube... use revanced with microg instead or newpipe or brave(last option).
I use Brave
I switched about 6 months ago. I haven't regretted it at all. I have chrome disabled and kept around just in case the samsung internet browser shits on me.
I've been using this for 4 years as my default browser
