- You Need To See These Places In Wiltshire// Wiltshire is one pretty county I'm telling you! Here are some places that are well worth a visit and I'm showing you only a tiny fraction.
If you're a fan of Poldark (who isn't?), you need to visit Great Chalfield Manor which is a National Trust property. And when it comes to quintessential English villages/towns, you will instantly fall in love with Bradford on Avon and Castle Combe. Did you know that Castle Combe has the most romantic hotel too? If you want to book a very special stay, I think The Manor House is perfect. Makes you think of the film The Holiday. I can already picture Amanda and Graham.
Hope you like the video.x

So, I JUST discovered this ‘channel’ (forgive my ignorance of proper terminology in this post) and subscribed! First I want to thank you both for sharing your travels in Britain. I am approaching 70 years, have been an Anglophile my entire life, never had the opportunity to visit. There is something truly special about your presentations, they are enchanting. I appreciate the things you both seem to enjoy. I have been an armchair traveler to Britain online for some time now. NOTHING I have seen approaches the personal warmth, wonderful music choices, and the views of not only the countryside but also of your accommodations and the food you experience!! This is the closest thing I have ever experienced to actually visiting myself, which I pray I will do one day. It IS my bucket list!! Thank you SO very much!!!
So wonderful to hear from you and what a lovely lovely compliment Janice. We are so glad you like the videos.
Janice, you said it so well for me. Thank you! Traveling and exploring (and home activities, too) with this darling, interesting, lovely couple has become one of my big treats. I'm glad I've only recently found them so that I have many videos to look forward to. Best wishes to you from California.
I nearly cried with happiness when I saw Bradford-on-Avon again. I stayed there with fellow Aussies who were living there at the time. I went to that very Bridges Tea Rooms. I used to love it. Also a café I think called The Tea Pot on the other end of the bridge. It had the most yummy soup. Such happy memories.
I was born in Bradford On Avon and lived in Wiltshire for 63 years, love it.
Kirsten, you and Joerg are so cute! I have come to rely on your travel videos. You’ve become family friends to us. Thank you!
Thank you for taking us to places you can only dream of for some of us! The charm, beauty & nature is all so beautiful to take in! You & your husband are so cute & your voice is so soothing & sweet, your my favourite people to watch better then any documentary. I am on a weekend Kirsten video fest lol! So I am enjoying watching as many videos as I can lol! ❤️🇨🇦
Same here!!
Kirsten, your channel is my favorite you are sweet and not loud and your truly make it interesting by filming the different shops and cottages. Love it that you bring Joerg with you , he’s fun and love your favorites. The background music is nice without being overpowering. Please continue doing as long as you can, you truly make it delightful!💕
That makes me so happy, thank you!!
I love watching your videos! They make me want to visit the Motherland immediately! On top of that, you seem like such a pleasant, incredibly kind person and that makes watching your videos all the better!
That's so kind, thank you!
Best Music in any video hands down!
These are the villages from all the old BBC movies I watched when I was young and still love watching. Whenever we did visit places like this there's a beautiful peacefulness and history which slows me down and let's me really enjoy where I'm visiting. Thank you for these videos now, as we sit in our homes waiting with baited breath to travel again. 💖
Absolutely love your vlogs. My dream is to discover the small villages of England. I may never get there so I treasure your videos. I love the kind and gentle way about you. Videos are nicely edited. Merry Christmad from the west coast of the U.S. in southern Oregon
Makes me so happy, thank you Becky and Merry Christmas to you too.
I am in total awe of these locations ! You look so lovely as usual.
I've been 3 times in England. Beautiful, I would love to live there...
You’ve done it again! I used to live in Bradford on Avon in St Margaret’s Street, just up from where you had tea in the bridge tea rooms. In the 1960s that was an antique shop and next to it was a forge. Further on down that road was the Milton Bike factory, that made the first small wheeled suspension bike. On the bridge is an old jail, where on occasion I would leave a milk bottle outside! The church vicar was. Mr. Strangeways, who was quite a well known war hero and a very kind and dedicated man. I used to launch my canoe down by the bridge by the tea rooms and spend the day lazing on the river. A lovely place to live. In the 1960s, the street lamps were light blue, and I recall watching the snow fall of 1964 come down in the blue light of the street lamps, against the Cotswold stone tiles on the roofs of st Margaret’s street on Christmas Eve. It was wonderful.
Amazing, we really love Bradford-on-Avon!
Oh yes, Castle Combe is apparently one of the prettiest villages in England, we will visit it one day soon, perhaps next year after Covid. Thanks again guys for another professional vlog. Stay safe.
This is so beautiful Kristen. I really had a bad day but, after watching your video I calmed myself down and now feeling peaceful! Loved it.
You certainly have good filming skills, with appropriate and beautiful music! Lovely video. Tyfs 😘
Thank you so much!
Absolutely
I realize Im kinda off topic but does anybody know of a good place to watch new movies online?
@Coen Brodie lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google =)
@Gannon Remington Definitely, been using FlixZone for months myself :D
I got tickled at Jeorg making fun of us who are directionally challenged! LOL! That was a perfect comment. But I do agree with you too Kiersten that you can stumble upon the most wonderful things sometimes in the most unexpected places. Love seeing you to enjoying each other. Keep on exploring!
Thank you for showing us this beautiful village! The stone cottages were incredible. I have been to England twice, I have a sister who lives near Colchester and she and her late husband took me all over the place, but I never got to see this area. This was wonderful, thank you again!😃👍🏼💕
I am thrilled that I found your channel 🙌🌻😊
Thank you!
I love all those houses and each person has their own little front garden. I especially love the first big houses or castles what ever they are they look like they will stand forever. So manicured gardens. And I also loved the garden roses plus the walk through hedges too. And those little tea spots always have some great tea pots plus dishes and lunches everything looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing!! Even if this is an old posting.
You should be an ambassador for the UK tourist board !!
Awww that's sweet, thank you.
So lovely and peaceful. Awesome
I love your jumper Kirsten. The high standard of the well kept gardens, stunning.
Thank you so much for these beautiful videos. You have such an appreciation of the British countryside. You make each village magical.
Tank YOU so much for watching.
Wow! Such a beauty......Thanks for the up loads
Thanks so much for watching!
Castle Combe is such a beautiful village; so picturesque. Once I visited in late October and the autumn colours gave the village such a different atmosphere; so beautiful. Loved seeing the village featured in this video.
Totally in love with our mothership England, more please. Thankyou Tammy-Australia
Thank YOU!
Great way of looking at it...
The view over the town, the grapes..gorgeous.Beautiful houses.Thank-you.I would have gone bonkers without all these videos
Thank you for showing me around these lovely places in Wiltshire! watching it makes me feel relax. I love your adventure!
Oh my goodness y’all go to the MOST Gorgeous places! Thank you so much for showing us ! Someday we hope to visit and it will be your videos that dictate our must-sees. You’re the cutest couple and seem to enjoy each other so much. Lol ~ love the response about being oriented...or not 😂 ~ that’s me. Just not born with an internal compass. Lost all the time, sometimes for the better. 😊
Oh I'm so glad you enjoy it - means so much! Hahah yes, Joerg and I have been together for 30 years and he's not only my hubs but definitely my best friend. His remark made me laugh too, somethimes he doesn't have the best sense of orientation either lol. And I really meant what I said; if you're walking around a smaller town, it's great to get lost to explore the hidden gems.
What a fairytale village! Love the color of you dress!
Castle Combe is a fairytale village that's for sure. Bradford on Avon is a lot bigger but so so lovely. And thanks so much.

Ohhh ist das lieb, danke!
I just finished researching back 10 generations of my family tree on my father’s side to find Capt. William Langley born in 1618 in Wiltshire. Thank you for sharing the scenes on Wiltshire with me.
Lol...oh, Joerg, you're so right. I have a horrible sense of direction, I ALWAYS get lost even in the small town where I've lived for 20+ yrs. and I hate it! Lol...but I don't think I'd mind getting lost in those quaint lil towns with you two.💗
Kirsten, your channel is my favorite, Please keep showing Us all more!!!!
Such beauty in Wiltshire--the stone houses with flowers are so charming. Your colorful outfit nicely compliments the stone architecture and flowers--I always like your outfits and hats. Juerg is so funny with his comment on sense of direction and being lost : ) . Your videography is so nicely done in each vlog--very enjoyable. Thank you!
Scenic beauty is amazing👍👍👍👍👍

Thanks for all your lovely videos of various parts of GB ,so many memories, enjoy your scones 👍👍🙋 Take care of yourself 🇬🇧🇮🇹💕😷🤗
Castle Combe was used in the original Dr Doolittle film with Rex Harrison as Dr Doolittle. I think it was made in the early 70's
It was, so many films and series shot there.
60s
I so love your videos! Please keep showing us the wonderful villages in England. Thank you! 💋

Hello Kirsten... What an enchanting place... All those stones filled with history... Almost each morning since a little while, I watch a few of your videos while having coffee before starting my writing day... It is a delight to see you both and visit those wonderful places... Hugs from a snowy day in the woods...

Biber on Tour Vielen liebenDank!
Wow ! I love your OOTD ❤
Amando seus vídeos e esses lugares encantadores! Saudações do Brasil!
very beautiful.
So beautiful!
Great video :)
Absolutely beautiful
Wiltshire is lovely! I love Avebury and Marlborough. I haven’t been to any of these spots yet.
Wiltshire is so beautiful, isn't it? Need to add Avebury and Marlborough to my list, thanks so much :)

Bilderbuchlandschaften,Kirsten😍
Gracias!!!!
Lovely thank you
You can see why Bradford is known as 'Little Bath'. Castle Combe (though not it's motor racing circuit) was used as a location in the original film 'Dr Doolittle'.
I love the dresses you wear!
Very lovely places to see in Wiltshire
Love your Fair Isle sweater.
Kirsten You are Making us Homesick, We live in North Carolina, Loving this Video, Stunning 🇬🇧🌹
Oh no, so sorry but glad you like the video.
I love watching your videos..
Great chalfield house was the home of Dr Enys and Caroline Penvenen in Poldark. I live about 3 miles away and it is beautiful
That's a gorgeous area to live!
Chavanage in Gloucestershire is the house that was George warleggans/ poldarks old home
Beautiful video
Fantastic ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Lindo lugar parabéns pelo vídeo
It’s a dream!!! Beautiful England… I want to get lost too!
beautiful place
Hola Saludos desde Sayula Jalisco México. Gracias por compartir
Love Poldark!💗
Muy lindos lugares.
the home of my childhood. i was born and bred in Box. i now 55 years on live in Somerset
I loved your outfit in todays video . You looked very English and very charming. I loved how Joerg said you were lost , but you saw it as an adventure. I would see it like you did , a chance to
See the sites you wouldn't other wise.
You are so lucky to be there!!!
I agree Kirsten, getting lost and off on your won is best way to see a place..
I was born in Bradford-on-Avon and I currently live a short distance from Great Chalfield. It's very interesting to see your own 'backyard' through the eyes of visitors - to me it all seems very humdrum and normal :-)
(BTW everyone I know pronounces "Chalfield" as "chaff-eeld")
Imagens lindíssimas amo seus vídeos
Nice grapes I never new grapes grew in England. To maintain hedges like that is cool. Weeds always invade garden in the States. I wonder how they keep them out.
@@MrDaiseymay I live in England for three years. Hope to return someday.
Ivy Leaf Tea Set.... LOVE...... - Putting your CZcams on my Facebook to give more exposure.....
Beautiful but cannot see children or villagers, it’s really scary and sad to see such beautiful town empty.
We went there very early in the morning as it gets so busy with tourists during the day and you can't film then.
Kirsten Yes Understand now.....Your videos are very good.thank you
When it's not tourist busy it is known as a sleepy town..very sedentary
