Does anyone else LOVE the sound of Donna's rotary cutter going through layers of fabric? I find it sort of mesmerizing. It makes a similar sound to when you tear fabric. Maybe I'm just strange, but I like the sound. Thanks Donna and crew, for another great tutorial, and a very fun watch. I always learn something.
Yep, you're strange...and I'm strange right along with you, Georgia! lol jjjzzzziittt.... love that sound!
I almost commented on that but I love the sound and didn't want to come off as crazy.
When she’s done cutting, and yes I’m strange too, the click that she has closed the blade reminds me of a gun slinger putting his pistol back in the holder, 😅😅😅
I rewatch videos while waiting for a new one. Every time I watch a video, no matter how many times, I learn something.
Yes, Donna is an excellent teacher!
Does anyone else play a little game with themselves when Donna is picking out the quilting thread colour?
Yes, I do! Sometimes she surprises me but it is always because of her backing fabric that her choice differs from the one I guess for the thread!☺️
Every video lol
Always!
I thought she would choose the lavender, but all of them would have worked fine.
LOL! Yes! These crazy little things we do. 🤣😂🤣
Coffee in the morning (CA) and a new video from Donna…..the best Friday morning!!
Oh WOW!!! Donna , if you give that one away , please remember this old girl ! 🤩😉🤗💕💕💕❤
Wow😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮that is a interesting quilt. You always find something interesting to make and you are a good teacher. You put a lot of bling in your fingernails😉😉😉😉😉😉. Thanks for the video.😃😃😃😃😃😃
Like this one ,you always pick out beautiful blended colors .
The highlight of my day is watching you put a quilt together; you are an awesome quilter!…..Char Newland
I love this pattern and can’t wait to try it!! I love your videos, you are such a wonderful artist and talented teacher!! You have made and a better quilter!
Another great choice, Donna!
This pattern did surprise me very pleasantly! Normally you can tell where the pattern is going from the block - but not so much on this one. However the design, the use of all the layer cakes with so little waste (looked like zero waste to me!) as well made for a lovely quilt. Loved the colors, and your choices of quilting pattern to coordinate the whole thing. Love it!
Yes I do
I really like the concept of entwined. Thank you
What a treat. I'm sitting down for my lunch (UK) so perfect timing to watch the master enabler in action. Looks like this is another pattern for me to buy.
I am watching during breakfast. Inspires me to get up to my sewing room. 😍🧵🪡
Ha ha I love it…..”master enabler”! I cracked up
"Master enabler;" absolutely love that nickname and how so incredibly true!
@@robertaarrowsmith2860 yes wake up, watch quilting video, get cracking
so well said. she is a master. and humble!!!
We would love to see this quilt with the William Morris fabrics.
Ultimately a simple quilt using HWTs but the layout makes it special. Lovely video, thank you. By the way, your nails are spectacular, love them.
lovely quilt. always look forward to Donna's tutorials. donna you are a really great teacher and you take the fear and nervousness out of trying. thank you.
This is a really cute pattern. ditto Maureen: "Master Enabler".. lol

Beautiful fabric!
Stunning pattern!
Love your natural hair!
But I wanna know about those NAILS in this vid!!! I LOVE THEM!
I love watching Donna make quilts! I lived in Grants Pass as a child, not far from where this shop is located. For some reason, it’s also fun for me to see how many clothing changes Donna has during a quilt making. It makes me feel good that she isn’t making a quilt in just one day! 😀
And her beautiful nails! Love seeing her color changes there too!!
@@denisedugo4906 Yes!!
Lol, I've never noticed clothing changes! Guess I'm concentrating so hard on how easy she makes it look.
I also note the clothing changes!
I never notice. I’ll watch for it from now on.
WOW! Love it 💟 Watching from Australia.
Always enjoy your quilt making. Thanks. Denise from Downunder.
Lovely tutorial as always Donna. Gorgeous fabric.
Lea from Australia
This is the second time, I watched this tutorial. It's fun as always watching you put the pieces all together. Thanks again, Donna, Happy Quilting
That is a very nice quilt. I'll have to get that pattern. Thank you

I was so happy to see how this quilt turned out, I got the pattern and made it myself. It was a very easy patter to follow and sew. I will be making more of this one for sure. Thanks for this great video
I haven't watch you in quite a while.
Wow your hair is awesome!
I saw this last night and i already have everything cut and ready. Time to start sewing!
I sewed all the half square triangle pairs yesterday and just finished ironing them all. Thanks for the tips about which way to iron the seams. Ready to start assembling the blocks. Your instructions are so clear and easy. Thank you!
I love your videos. I learn so much every time.
I kept being mesmerized by your fingernails! Love the color!
I get so excited to see a new video. And your nails today 💅🏼😍🔥
Love love 💕 the fabrics I’m this quilt!

I’m planning, for two young adult granddaughters, different fabric, layer cakes, this pattern. For Christmas! Check, two off my list-Whew! Happy sewing!
Fun quilt pattern and nice choice of layer cake. Thank you
Once again Beautiful amazing quilt, so neat n tidy, L❤️VE IT😍
I think this pattern and fabric choice are Great! Thank you
Lovely quilt. I don't mind seeing more sewing time during construction. There must be a suitable time that makes more people view it. I keep entering the giveaway hopefully one day my lucky stars will align.
Cheers from the Harris home in Geraldton Western Australia 🇦🇺
AWWWWWW VERY PRETTY 😍 💕 💖
Those colors are perfect for my bedroom!
That is a beautiful layer cake.
Thank you for this video. I am working on this pattern now. It looks easy, but I am finding it challenging. The most challenging part is pressing the seams to get them all locking. The pattern suggests pressing the seams open but I am working on the traditional left locking with the right. Your video is most helpful.
Good morning. I love your tutorial videos !!!
That looks so complicated but you make it easy thanks Donna
I love to watch your videos..I always learn something new.
That is beautiful. Out of my comfort level, so I’m enjoying watching you at work with your skills. Thanks Donna. By the way, love your nails. ❤️🇦🇺
Ooh I could watch that long-arming all night. So satisfying! And this is one of my all-time favourite quilts of yours I've seen, Donna! So very beautiful!
Such a pretty quilt!!!
This is now in my top 5 favorite Donna quilts
This looks great. I thought it would be complicated but it looks easy. I WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU MAKE A FRENCH BRAID QUILT PLEASE🥰
There are so so so many I've been requesting ...plzzzzzz...I've even forgotten how many and how many chats ago . 😭.... But she's the best instructor 🙂 ever .
I love this quilt!
Absolutely beautiful!! I love the prints. Thank you Donna for showing us how to do everything. Even the tips to save time.
Once again Donna , a surprising choice of colours which turned out spectacular. As l often have said before you are a wonderful teacher, l have learnt so much! Kind regards from Heather in very cold and wet Melbourne Australia!
Another super great quilt. Nice colour. You are amazing, Donna
Very pretty quilt…🥰🇦🇺
This one does looks hard, but a challenge. It is so pretty. Thank you Donna for making it look easier. It is so pretty.
The only difficult part would be the carefully laying out of the individual block pattern. I am not good at seeing mistakes in laying out so my husband checks quality control.
@gailmummert1660 it’s not difficult or challenging in any way. Making hst’s and laying it out as if a ‘v’ on either side of the ‘brick’s (my term) (essentially 8 1/2x 5”) ‘v’ below. And then an upside down’v’ on top of it. The left side they are separated, then the next block complete’s it. I’ve finished one, and have two more in the works. It has become my very favorite pattern. Honestly, it has! I love that it looks like floral’s and complimentary fabric’entwined’ in lattice. Happy 🧵!
I love it.I like the bright colors.
Thank you! Omg'ness Beautiful quilt! Love the fabric! I actually just finished making the Five Star after watching the video. It turned out beautifully! Thanks for all you do! Surely miss Grants Pass
This is so neat. Wld it look good in black white red
Thanks Donna for another wonderfully informative quilt tutorial!!! 😄💕 just an FYI: You could save LOTS of time if you used diagonal tape on your machine....never draw the diagonal lines on the back of your material again. 👍
These squares look a bit too big for a line on her machine.
Thank you for your videos. Just love watching you make beautiful quilts.
Beautifull !!!! Very nice project! hello from Madagascar.
I love the fabrics you used! Such pretty florals in soft spring colors.
Lol yes every video!
Love your nails. The best so far.🤗
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL fabric and gorgeous nails too 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Dear Donna, I haven't visited your site for quite sometime. Mainly, because I haven't sewn for several decades and I have only dreamed of making beautiful quilts like my Grandma, my Aunts, and my Mother. Now that they have all passed away, the longing to learn has definitely increased. Today, I watched two videos, in a row, of you making quilts from start to finish. They both turned out so amazingly beautiful. I then went directly to your website and had fun there. Today, I.discovered that I also love what you were able to accomplish with your long arm quilting machine. I ended wishing I could work with you in your shop doing what you do on all levels. Thank you for sharing your talents and making your beautiful world accessible. 💖
Sincerely, Anita
I really like the fabric you used in this quilt. It's so lovely. Thanks you for all your hard work. Nothing better than watching you and enjoying my morning coffee.
Love the colours of the layer cake and the finished quilt. I love watching the videos too, just to see what your nails look like this time - gorgeous
Hi Donna, love this pattern and the fabric. It turned out to be a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and ideas when making a quilt.
Lovely quilt. Thanks Donna.
I have never seen such an amazing &Beautiful Quilt works...You are so much hardworking & top notch in Everway...I m so much impressed &Absolutely in love with all Your Work !!!You are Blessed 🙌 😇 🙏 Wish u all The best 👍 👌 😍!!!
I quite like this pattern and the colours too.
Love the fabrics in this quilt. I wish the pattern used flying geese for the parts of the block where the two background HST are sewn together. That would eliminate an unnecessary seam.
O, I do like that!! Thank you for demonstrating this beauty!
I Love all Your quilts. Made several of them.
Such a pretty quilt Donna.💞🇦🇺
beautiful fabric art thank you
Hi Donna. In watching you I've learned that if I iron those seams by running the tip of the iron along the sewn seam I have great squares. Thanks for all your tips.
OH DONNA, THIS TURNED OUT SO BEAUTIFUL. THANK YOU FOR ANOTHER A+ VIDEO. THE FABRIC IS SO LOVELY AND THE PATTERN IS BEAUTIFUL.
Wonderful quilt.
Have I told you lately that I love you? 🎵🎶I love the way you teach us the easy ways to do things and explain theory.
Es ist immer wunderschön.
Pre ordered chickadee, love love the print… thank you thank you Donna for excellent tutorial using Chickadee… ordered pattern… so excited to start!!!
Love your Tutorials, great colors!
Thank you sharing this pattern
It's gorgeous!!
Beautiful pattern! Thanks for sharing!!
Wow! So beautiful, but not complicated. I love your videos. The quilts are gorgeous, but you break it down so nicely for us. I always appreciate the close camera work so we can clearly see what you are doing. I have purchased Matt's precuts. They are great. So exact. My quilts turn out beautifully. Thank you Donna, Matt, and Jordan for these videos and all you do. ❤️ 🧵🪡
Simply gorgeous Donna, the colours are beautiful. Nails looking wonderful too🧵🪡💅🏻
Looks amazing
Gorgeously done !
Donna you are an amazing teacher. Your voice is so easy to listen to and while you do talk as you instruct you make your points without unnecessary repetition. I have watched many quilting videos during these past few years of Covid and yours are hands down the best. You teach not only how to cut and sew but how to press to make flat blocks. Additionally I love your free patterns (so generous) as well as the fact that many of your patterns from other companies can be purchased in downloadable form. I live in Canada so avoiding the shipping costs is important to me. I am now hoping to win one of your beauties at some point.
I find a lot of tutorials on CZcams skip over the cutting and pressing and it's a very important part of getting good results in quilting, yet it's often just glossed over.
When I have many HST to cut, I pick a vertical line on my cutting mat and line several up keeping the points on the line, staggering them a bit. Then line my long ruler up on the line and cut several at the same time. Beautiful fabrics and fun pattern!
I love this quilt, but your nails are so gorgeous, I got distracted too many times and had to rewatch! Great video
