Thanks for the videos, Dave. You're an inspiration!

thanks for info
starting next year trapping for yotes
I hope you are successful. Follow up? This is interesting.
I've never trapped before. Gonna give it a go this year.
following like a hawk!
Killinger hahahaha hell yea like a hawk , like a hawk!!!
Dave, you know a good test would be to make two sets next to each other on the same day. One with gloves and with out gloves and see what set gets a hit first and how many hits it gets.
Dave, I'm trying to find the video where you extract the urine from a dead coyote bladder after you skinned it, is there one or am I imagining the whole thing??
Dave have you ever had one of them traps go off on your hand? Im learning so much from you. Ronnie. Texas.
Once when I actually put my hind in while it was setting to the site, but that wont happen again it only takes once
man hell yea that's so cool😂😂😂
really like these videos let's see that dog in that trap now
More trapping vids.
nice demo......pick up your fur yet?..cheers
You might want to use a small twig/branch to clear the bigger chunks when you are sifting, after you've set that trap.. I'd hate to see you chomp your hands!! Hands are too useful in survival!! Be safe, awesome channel, keep up the good work!!
Dave could you maybe show when you cought a coyote or an other animal?
Rien ter beek, the Netherlands
Have over 50 videos in this Playlist and show every animal that can be trapped in Ohio in at least one video being trapped and processed brother, but more are coming
+wildernessoutfitters thanks Dave, i learned a lot of your video's. but i go i have allot of video's to watch.
Hey I have a question about the pathfinder school where exactly is it. Second how much does it cost to participate in the classes
Ohio and you can check our website for schedules and cost as all classes are different
No gloves?
Little surprised to see you not wearing gloves. I would wear gloves to try to keep my scent down and use one not q-tip with lure sticking up in the dirt to bring in the shy ones. You could get a Bobcat too, but there are better sets for cats...
I have never worn gloves since going to the FTA Class except if needed for cold, predators in Farm country are use to those smells, I do often just place the lure on a stick or Q standing above the hole as well, just depends on my mood I guess LOL
how much did the bag of sheep wool cost and where can you find it ?
selfrelianceoutfittrers
Could you just use ordinary sheep wool you find on barbed wire fences
Jason Millar Yes you could. The kind we use on the trap lines is the scraps and junk left over from shearing. It's unwashed so it still smells like a sheep. It holds the bait well and gives the animal something to see in the hole that looks like a nest. Keeps them interested and working the set.
And thats for catching what?
K-9??? Coyote/Fox
wildernessoutfitters i know k9 refered to dogs but sorry for my ignorance, coyotes are for eat?
I have eaten them on past videos, not the best but food if you are hungry
wildernessoutfitters thanks for the answer
Could you please give me a good explanation, which I can tell others why trapping for fur is good? How can someone love wildlife and still trap. great video though, keep em coming
Coyote have NO natural predators if allowed to breed freely with no regulation by hunting or trapping they can quickly wipe out populations of things like Turkey, Pheasant, Quail, Rabbits etc....
wildernessoutfitters big time!!!!! I live in Maine and coyotes have destroyed the rabbit and grouse population around my place
Jason Millar It's about balance, control the predators ant it helps the little fury animals grow and multiply.
Yeah I hadnt really thought about it like that, where do the pelts go to?
There are many uses for leather. Sell them, use them or trade them. Just don't waist them!
Don't smooth the dirt with fingers you want to keep.
Been doing it for years, have never gotten hung in a trap, if your pans are that sensitive they are not set right
*****
As I am not a Wilderness instructor I will go with the safest way possible.
The trap wouldn't hurt your hand if it got in it.
Traps are horrible..So many idiots are watching vids in youtube dont teach them how to hurt animals ..Your other vids are very good
I will not have an anti trapper conversation here as proper research would show you that your opinions are wrong. But you cannot practice any skill when you actually need it, so learning and understanding trapping is very important for self reliance and have been done for thousands of years for that reason. I have seen raccoon with 2 hands in 2 separate traps how do you figure that happened? Cause he wasn't hurt enough in one to stop him from eating out of the other maybe>
man that lure stinks
