Spell damage mage was the first deck I tried to build. I beat all of my friends with their tier one decks. I think it's always been okay and now that there's tools from the expansions it can maybe keep up with a lot of other archetypes that always seem to get support
"Viable" is a bit of overstatement, Kibler lose a considerable amount of games with this deck, it's just that his youtube filters the best games. It's a cool deck though.

I’ve been playing this deck with vargoth. Playing an 8-10 damage cinderstorm and having it cast again that turn is pretty insane. Try it out

How’s this deck against aggro decks like zoolock and token Druid?
I guess it might struggle. It needs the spell power minions to be effective, so it needs some kind of board. A deck that is good at removing early boards should fare well against this deck.

wouldnt a single acrane explosion be good in this? you already have a lot of board clear but it seems like it runs out of cards in hand pretty fast and 2 mana deal 3+ dmg to all enemies seems very card effecient.

@@kingbling7571 well true, many people did when it still wasn't buffed. This time it is something like his tess rogue which was like 10 times less popular among the community than paladin in the analogical situation.

One board clear and he would've been toast due to running out of gas.
@@gimmethegepgun yeah but most classes simply can't pull board clears out of their asses anymore, except warrior most of the big removal was straight up removed and now it'S almost entirely based on board presence so i don't think it's actually realistic for classes to clear early boards like that. Thats why we see more and more control decks fighting for board instead of just clearing it because they don't have the ressources to clear much.

Control warrior, and bomb warrior (spell dmg applies to the bombs lol).
Literally any rogue deck, u 0 mana deal 4 or deal 0 and take out the stuff
