Have you observed Suit fitting in korean movies?
Ive got the exact same ranking in my opinion.
Brosnanâs outfits have aged the best by far - they werenât the most exciting, but you could easily wear any of his outfits today and still look super sharp. Lindy Hemming really knew what she was doing.
Only thing that aged were the ties.
@@PantsofVance Nah, the ties are cool
The thing is he wears them really well, it might look more dates on someone else.
Pierce Brosnan appears to have an innate sense of style in all his roles.
He's like a walking fashion catalogue.
So glad to see someone realizing and appreciating the absolute style greatness of Brosnan!
Craig's suits surely are a debatable topic. I personally am not at all fond of the current trend of too short jackets and too tight trousers because I am a firm believer in jackets having to (at least mostly) cover the bottom and trousers being loose enough to not (at least not clearly) reveal the leg's anatomy when moving. However, as a "whole look" Craig's combination of a muscular AND slim-ish build makes that type of tailoring do-able IMHO. Maybe still not great, but agreeable.
I think you basically have to look like Daniel Craig to get away with that sort of fit. Otherwise, forget it lol.
@@sweeperboy True :D
It doesn't make sense for a secret agent who is constantly running, jumping, and fighting to be in a suit that tight lol.
Pierce brosnan is my favorite bond.
@@scottcarroll9201 indeed. Itâs just following actual trends, which is focused in a tight silhouette. I never understood the purpose, at least for my physique, anything tight especially on my legs, is pure torture.
Brosnan so far is my favorite silhouette of James Bond. Q wanted James to bring back his gadgets in perfect condition, but Brosnan always made sure he brought James Bond back in perfect condition.
an actual video on CZcams where you don't have to wait 10 minutes to get to the title, wow
R u really Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson???
Nothing beats Sean Conneryâs version imo. The perfect Bond
XGrand ChampX damn right
Sean Connery, bloated or not, was the one who saved the franchise when he returned after George Lazenby's poor showing at the box office . Roger Moore just carried on from there. He saved nothing. If Connery's (bloated) return in "Diamonds are Forever" was a box office flop, only then can you claim that Moore saved the franchise. But that is not what happened.
Well, I just saw a scene from "From Russia with Love" the other day in which he wore a suit and hat outfit that looks incredibly dated today.
Ziggy Adolph Bloated? He seemed pretty slim to me just older.
Craig, his problem is the "athletic fit" suit. They always look like they just had a growing spurt
agreed!! too much show off
I love my suits snug like that
I was going to put Connery #1 and Brosnan #2, and the rest, spot on correct. But after watching this video, I have to agree, Connery had an issue or two, dang it. Hard to beat Brosnan.
WRONG
Albert R Broccoli Harry Saltzman og Ian Flemings
The WORST BOND ACTOR
Connery and Lazenby
I think no one wanted to dress like Bond moreso than with Daniel Craig's Bond. He nailed a lot of outfits and all those outfits would sell out quickly
I agree with your #1 pick-Pierce Brosnan. He may not have exuded the level of masculinity that Sean Connery did, but he was by far the best dressed 007 out of the bunch. Always very elegantly dressed and very well put together. If memory serves me right, his suits were designed and tailored by Brioni (the #1 hight end suit designer of mens suits in the world).
I've always seen Tim's Bond to be a man who just doesn't care about fashion or looking clean and cut, he just wears whatever he has to get the job done. To me that's just another part of his character
Exactly I think it fits his version of Bond too to not care about being stylish even if it's usually part of the character.
The costume designer for License to Kill was Jodie Tillen, who also did Miami Vice!!!
Pierce Brosnan anyday...đ
Timothy Dalton was an amazing Bond. He was a Bond who was true to the character and also dressed for form over function
All of the men who portrayed 007 were amazing. I would state leave the paradigm of ranking them and rather appreciate each actor for portraying the best of fashion for their respective times. I was thinking as a teenager, while watching Pierce Brosnan on Remington Steele in the early 80s, what a great James Bond he would make.....and about 13 years later, history indeed was made.
You did this count down exactly right.I knew that Pierce Brosnan was going to be number one. I used to watch him on a show in the 1980s called Remington Steele.Talk about impeccable styling. They dressed him beautiful and it worked on him.You had a picture of him from that show.It was one of my favorite. Thank you for your great reviews.
I still wish they had allowed Brosnan to bring a tiny Remington Steele touch to Bond - would have been just perfect.
Brosnan never makes mistakes.
He did have that shrunken suit in Die Another Day with the highwater trousers just as Jinx dives over the side as Brosnan himself said not a good look for Bond. The suit had shrunk in the rain from the previous day's shooting. So he wasn't always perfect.
What about Mamma Mia?
@@action-slack4916 We Bond fans would like to separate Brosnan as Bond and Brosnan as Sam Carmichael đłđł

@@thisisart3750 ah yes r/engrish
@@samueldisturbing761 my thoughts exactly
The actor doesn't select the clothing, the costume director does. It's up to the actor to wear it well, but that's all. Who are the costumers who dressed these actors? Let's give them credit or blame, too. Also, totally agree with Pierce Brosnan as best dressed. Good call!
Sean Conneryâs physique makes the outfits too
As the saying goes, it's not about the clothes, it's who you put in them.
Ein Productions James Bond movies actor
First Bond actor
Bob Simmons stuntman
Not Sean Connery
We have the legendary tailor Anthony Sinclair to thank for Connery's Bond look from Dr. No and From Russia with Love.
1) Craig/Brosnan
2) Connery
3) Moore
4) Dalton/Lazenby
5) Craig - Yes I also placed him 1st. I think overall he is well put together and has substantially influenced my style (as well as Brosnan). However, I have my concerns about Bond 25. I will hold my final thoughts until I see Bond 25 but I don't like most of the styles/clothes I am seeing.
Lazeby's short bathrobe is straight out of the books. It was Bond's preferred sleeping gown. In the books he's not a dandy at all, and dresses for comfort.
Both Dalton and Moore made a mistake with black tie: namely wearing a tuxedo jacket with notched lapels!
agreed peak or shawl collar only
To be fair Sean Connery also wore a notch lapel tuxedo (which was somewhat acceptable at the time).
As a young teen, I used to watch Brosnan in Remington Steele and that made me want to wear a suit & tie.
Agreed! Brosnan is my favorite Bond overall, but the style is impeccable.
2:04 ruffles? I was forced to wear a ruffle tux for my senior picture in '86!!
You forgot to mention *that* pair of sky blue swim trunks Craig sported early on in his Bond career. That might have bumped him up a place!
Hey Antonio !!!!!!
Have seen Movie '6 Underground'
Where Ryan Reynolds said
" Never Underestimate The Power Of a Nice Suit ."
I love the 007 style videos. As far as ranking, I tend to agree. Brosnan may not be my top Bond, but he does look incredible in almost everything.
Off course it would be pierce brosnan, being dressed by brioni.
I think I remember back in the day it was said that pierce was the best dressed in Hollywood
Totally Agree!!!
That Connery's suit in Zardoz though...
Roger Moore was a victim of the WORST era in mens fashion. The 70's.
1) Connery
2) Craig
3) Brosnan
4) Dalton
5) Lazenby
6) Moore
Steve Abrams I agree. Roger Moore was the best at knowing how to wear a suit. Connery and Craig are products of their wardrobe departments of the film. From what Iâve read neither knew how to wear suits. For example look at Daniel Craig before Tom Ford took him under his wing in the Bond films. Read similar things about Sean Connery.
I so agree that the 1970s were mostly a sartorial tragedy, but one thing Moore pulled off brilliantly was that dark blue overcoat he wears with black gloves when he steps off the plane in NYC in Live and Let Die. That garment is a masterpiece. I got one similar on Ebay a few years ago. I am biased towards Connery as I am a devotee of early 1960s fashion. It is my favorite era in terms of style.
I think some elements from the 1970's can be quite cool looking, and add a little pazazz to business casual outfits. I personally like to combine wide lapel sports jackets with turtlenecks.
Bell bottom pants are out of the question tough!
What about the first Bond? Barry Nelson. You left him out.
@@RobDaCajun I agree with you but notice that Steve Abrams is saying the opposite and I think he is so wrong
For me Sean Connery is the perfect actor to play bond.
Oh yes, I just latety thought about Bond and came to the same conclusion "on a different highway" that Brosnan in hindsight has pulled off the 007 style best from looking back NOW. I therefor also think that a good Bond movie needs some age to riper like good wine, not too onld, not too new, to really experience the taste of it. That said, I've just watched "Golden Eye" again and man, that is just exactly the perfect age and style for a good Bond movie now!
I think this video answers the question on my mind of why I think Pierce Brosnan is the best James Bond. He's greatly dressed at the movie "Tailor of Panama" too.
If Daltonâs suits had been as good as Brosnanâs, he would be the best Bond all round. The franchise needed the charming yet scarred and serious James Bond, and Dalton gave it to us.
Do you read minds, Mr. Centeno?
I was just thinking about casual style of 007!
Great video as always, but one question, did you cover tuxedos for formal evening parties? And if you did, can you give me the link of the video, post, or blog about that, thanks again!
Awesome video
Your hard works deserve appreciation
Had to keep reminding myself while watching your ranking that it was about fashion and not the actor because I think Dalton is criminally underrated as Bond. I do think 10 years from now we will all look back on Craig's too tight suits and treat them the same way we do Roger Moore's flared leg pants. The best look for James Bond in my opinion is the conservative, middle ground so that the movies don't become stylistically dated in a few short years.
Dalton too g-d angry and determined all the time on screen. To be fair, the producers probably suggested that this was the new level of realism they wanted, an anti-RM.
Great video. Enjoyed it!
Cheers Antonio & your attention to detail is immaculate đ
I think it's unfair to declare anyone worst dressed for following trends of the time.
Worst should be what would be worst even at the time the film is from.
The issue is that true fashion is timeless.
Nice video as always d âŒïžâŒïž
Roger Mooreâs tailors were superb; Cyril Castle and Doug Hayward. The styles he wore as Bond reflect the fashion of the times.
You certainly know your cloths. Moore was the only Bond who dressed in Savile Row fashion on and off screen.
I might be biased because I grew up playing golden eye on N64.
Ditto! Anyone who played against their friends with Oddjob should be pimpslapped with a rubber hose. That's just plain wrong! Lol
@@JamesRDavenport that was so annoying at 1st, but I figured out a few ways to get him. Good memories lol.
I think for me personally Daniel Craig has been my biggest inspiration clothing wise. That outfit he has in the madagascar chase scene was pretty much my look in the summer of 2007, and that beautiful black coat in the end of Quantum of Solace has been my go to look ever since 2008 during winter. Same goes with his style of suits.
I also feel slim fits, just looks good on men. Not skinny though
@@fearless6947 slim fit suits are my thing.
@@Markmeister1989 same lol
Great vid. Thereâs one Roger Moore smart casual outfit I really like not mentioned here. His blue ski jacket with white turtleneck showing underneath in For Your Eyes Only in the Cortina scenes
I think you nailed it! Great video!
Hello Antonio, I fully agree with your list, great video. Thanks
Awesome definitely agree with number 1.
Awesome videos.
Actually, based on the criteria I would say you have it spot on. It's strictly based on fashion and that's it.so I agree
Always love me some Bond videos!
I love the closely tailored suits they really make you stand out and look like you really know how to wear a suit. However they need to be impeccably tailored or they look ridiculous, kind of a gamble. I think they add more dynamics to your movement as well even with he "dreaded x".
You are spot on with your number 1 choice Pierce Brosnan was the best dress James bond And my personal favorite
My personal list would be slightly different from worst to best I'd say
Lazenby
Dalton
Craig
Brosnan
Connery
Moore
I know Roger Moore was a victim of the 70s but I'm actually a fan of 70s style. He brought in the most color and also had the best casual looks.
You should keep up with these movie wardrobe videos!
Can you do a video of Saul Goodman's colorful wardrobe in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul?
Id love to see your take on his style!
Great idea!!!
A great lesson for us. Thanks a lot.
Your choices are spot on.
Before I knew better and watched your channel, I wore my dive watch with a suit because I saw James Bond wearing it. Now, I know better, but still love my dive watch.
Have you considered a pandemic fashion video since weâre going full fop over here?
Great video as always! I agree 100% Brosnan rules in many "Bond" attributes followed very closely by Connery. I go back and forth as to whom I choose as my favorite Bond between Brosnan and Connery. I'm 60 this year and retired from the fire service 8 years ago with ten years in the Army Reserves. Uniforms have dominated my wardrobe and I looked to the Bond Brosnan and Connery as my style guides. I use your videos as a check and balance to measure my style. Thank you!
Awesome thanks Antonio âš
No one looked or played the role better than Bronson. He is James Bond!
Great video! Yes, Pierce Bronson is my all time favorite although I've only seen a handful of the Bond movies. I was a child when they were popular back in the day. Great line up! I did not know there were so many James Bonds!
I definitely agree with your number one choice since I grew up with Pierce Brosnan Bond. Inspired me to wear a turtleneck with a suit. Going to do that more often at different social events. I think it gives me more of a.....mature look.
Iâm thinking about doing the same. I havenât worn a turtleneck since 1983 or 1984. I turned 44 on January 14th this year.

Nice to have enough coaching basics with these videos to look with a critical eye at none less than Bond himself.
Thanks very nice video. If l may make a suggestion , l would like your opinion on the selections of Edith Head. My personal favourite.
There was a youth movement called "teddy boys" in the early 1960's, who admired Victorian fashion. By the late 60's the teddy boys were gone, but their ruffles had found their way into London's high fashion.
I can agree on Brosnan but I guess the best gentleman , elegant man, was Moore.
Nice video. It made me rethink my ranking. I discount the sign-of-the-times issue. Here's mine: Brosnan, Connery, Moore, Craig, Dalton, Lazenby
Brosnan is the one who really suits for James Bond
Vijetha T V Take a look at him when he was on Remington Steele. Even though it was the 80s, Pierce dressed very well, well tailored, and worn with class. Itâs a lot less dated than the Crockett and Tubbs look on Miami Vice. There are still pieces from his time on Remington Steele that could still work today. I like Pierce at the number one spot.
I think George Lazenby should get top billing because both he and Connery had Tailored/Bespoke suits which automatically puts them ahead, George was an ex-suit model and knew how to wear and look the part, finally he was also ex-Australian Commando and could move in the right ways.
Brosnan vs Craig is Armani v Brioni v Tom Ford. I can't remember who did Moore's suits (but I remember the watches though).
As always people forget David Niven, but I'll let you off this time.
Great video! Lifelong 007 fan! Also absolutely correct!âĄïžâĄïžâĄïž
You can't compare the Man of Style, director Terence Young, to Guy Hamilton, who gave Sean Connery the tiny pink tie in "Diamonds Are Forever".
When Connery was dressed in Terence-Young-chosen outfits ("Dr. No", "From Russia with Love", "Thunderball"), the look was unbeatable.
Timothy Dalton never had such a kind of master of appearance to guide him when it came to his wardrobe (in fact, the costume designer for "Licence to Kill" actually DID work for "Miami Vice" before!).
"the costume designer for "Licence to Kill" actually DID work for "Miami Vice" before!"
That explains a lot. Lol
Spot on.... spot on đđđ
I agree Brosnan was very well dressed, but to me nothing beat the white dinner jack and the 3 peace gray check suite connery wore in Goldfinger
@7:19 the man with Sean Connery in that picture is Ian Fleming. The author of James Bond
Yaayyyyy,. Finally, someone noticed that too.đđđ
I have seen some of the dreaded Xâs in your videos. And you have to remember heâs James Bond heâs usually running đ
I agree with you on most things, but i respectfully dissagreeing about Timothy Dalton. It's actually Timothy Daltons bond that got me interested in suites and style. (Just my opinion)
Very interesting and refreshing! Can agree to your ranking! ~ From a Bond fan
No one is worst dressed
They are ahead of their time
Good point.
I do not agree. Bond is very much a capsule of the wardrobes for the time. Just look at Craigâs Bond.
Timothy Dalton was hella underrated.
Agreed.
Captain Freedom He looked better in tactical gear and military fatigues, the suits were never great. But yeah I agree, very underrated
Timothy Dalton was the closest to the literary James Bond. The character in the Fleming books was a gruff, laconic killer. He wasn't the type to kill the bad guy and then pop off a clever quip. Dalton was also a classically trained Shakespearean actor. He definitely brought depth and nuance to the character that the other guys have lacked.
Haha I actually have to agree with your whole list. Nice one
Pierce Brosnan is the king of suited James Bond, while Daniel Craig is the king of casual James Bond...
"The jean suit? You need to be James Bond to be able to pull that off"
*Jay Leno wants to know your location*
I agree wholeheartedly with your n1 choice. Brosnan is just a class and style act. His suit fit is textbook perfection. He shows better than anyone else THE way a suit should be worn
Cool and fun video! đ
You want to talk about style then let's get it right - James Bond is British and has NEVER worn a "Tuxedo".
Off-topic of this video, I'm curious what you thought about the wardrobe of the late NBA Interviewer Craig Sagar.
If you made a video of this, I'm so sorry for the repeat question but this frequently comes up in conversation when polarizing fashion talks come up in the barber shop.
Back in the 80's EVERYONE laughed at the way Sean Connery dressed in his Bond movies, the very few of of who were not laughing at him were laughed at too. Today Connery is considered ĂŒbercool as bond, but still, when people copies his style today they always have the trousers waist like five inches lower than Connery.
In ten years it may be Moore who is considered the most well dressed Bond of all times, such things changes over time.
Switch Connery & Craig & thatâs my list.
Daniel is too mascularïŒso it is hard to make the suit slim but not to tight at the same time
Great Video
For me Pierce Brosnan is the perfect bond he is absolutely marvellous against all of them including Sean Connery.
Antonio, I am a prodigious James Bond fan and have been since I was a teenager in the nineties. I'll be 40 in July. Also:love your channel, have turned to your channel as I am coming up to having to buy a my first suit(s).
Hey, Antonio please make a video on the fashion style of No Time to Die.
