I think that this is the norm, because it always happens for everyone, sooner or later. You don't have to go straight into big endless sadness.
I thought it was something like all my Lion family was hunted, no the real ones I don't know
Yeah, it definitely sucks. I have a big, big family, so most are still alive and kicking, but back when i was twelve, for about five years, family members started dropping like flies, some from natural causes, and others from everything from accidents to murder to suicide. It's beyond depressing when you've seen more relatives buried than double the years you've been alive.

1. At no point does she say "most" of her family is dead. She says some members have passed away, but never says "most", at least not in the moments shown here.
2. 轢く is usually translated as "run over" but it's also sometimes used to mean "hit with a car" in general. Most likely her dad knocked her down while backing up, but didn't crush her under the wheels or anything (or I assume she wouldn't be here talking to us today)
3. 足 can be either "leg" or "foot" and she doesn't specify, but it seems significantly more likely that the car drove over her foot. She'd have to be lying down on the road for the car to drive over her leg.
This just proof any translator who's not sure about their translation need a proofread or sumshit
To be fair, people tend to say someone was run over or hit with a car interchangeably and I've heard it used both for really bad incidents and minor ones.

She probably coped and made peace with most of her family being dead a long time ago, so it doesn't bother/trigger her when she talks about it.
Well don't wanna pry too much into it but its probably an incident that happened a long time ago. Her voice sounds like of that came to terms of it already.
More importantly Botan saying she got run over by the leg made me winced more compare to the former personally.

That actually happened to me too, it even left marks on my shoe and pants but I didn't get hurt at all
That's happened to me before, not sure if it's any different with a motorcycle, the wheel literally ran over my foot but I didn't feel pain, still not sure why to this day
It doesn't hurt that badly because most of the weight of the car is supported by the 3 other wheels if you're being run over. The sole of your foot also has a good surface area so the pressure is kept low enough not to do damage most times at low speeds. My foot has been run over by my friend's scooter (what an idiot) and it wasn't very painful at all, just a bruise
That happened to me 5 times in my life.
It was just a shock and didnt hurt as I expected
3 times bike ran over my leg below knee.

I just said that The Lion king isn't based off of Kimba The White Lion and nothing else.
Oh man, I can relate a lot with her.
My direct family is kinda small, a lot of relatives have passed on in the past few years. I got sent flying by a car back when I was 17; 3 months right after I had an accident with an ATV where I tumbled across the beach and slightly tore the ligaments in my left knee and twisted my right wrist.
Very recently a close relative passed due to Covid, he was a very good uncle. They tried to save him for over 3 months, but ultimately he didn't make it. I'll try to miss him, but my brain is somewhat damaged so I'll probably forget about him in a few years unless I'm reminded.
Most recently my spine has a disc that started herniating, so that was and still is an on going pain. Might need surgery depending on how bad it gets.
At least I get to enjoy watching these clips and streams.
Keep doing what you all love guys, hope people are having a better time than I am.

When you've accepted a death in the family, it's easy to smile when talking about it because you remember how great they were and not how much you miss them.

Be careful if you're driving in or out of a household with young children. At a certain age, they start moving around more quickly and independently, and can be hard to spot when they're still small. A lapse in attention from anyone present can result in similar accidents occurring.

It's clear Botan doesn't want us to mourn the fact that mosts of her relatives as passed. And seems she have moved on quite plenty at that. So we shouldn't be sad. What we should do is support this strong lion so she leads on a happy life and have a better future. :)

I sware to god Botan family is part of a Yakuza.
She's a strong lioness, the fact she can talk about the memories of lost loved ones without getting swallowed up in the fact they are no longer of this earth shows true strength and she's doing it all live to an audience of many thousands. I can't imagine what she had to go through to reach a point she could have this sort of attitude towards these usually soul swallowing ordeals.
