The amount of effort of the animation that replicates the deleted scene is spectacular. This feels like it could've been an actual scene in the movie that we didn't knew we wanted.
It's interesting how a lot of these deleted scenes involve Lightning McQueen screaming at the top of his lungs. And, man if you told me that this was animated by Pixar themselves, I'd believe you 👍

This is so impressive. Community Service was always my favorite deleted scene from Cars since I first saw it at age 10. Getting to see it fully animated was certainly a nice surprise.

This deleted scene will never not bother me. You can even tell by the title card how freaky it is with them showing McQueen’s lifeless body. But fantastic job animating it!

Hi there, since I'm new to Blender and I was inspired by your videos of recreating the character models of the movie, I was wondering how did you rig the character's chassis?
Thank you! I don't really know what chassis is (I'm not a native English speaker), but for what i searched, that would be the bottom part of the car? Well, i didn't rig all the bottom, but i did rig the part that connects the wheel to the chassis. Basically, the rig is a bone inside the wheel, which controlls the wheel, connect (just connect, not "stick" together) to the bone that is in the chassis. The wheel bone controlls the wheel and the end of the pipe/piston, and the chassis bone controlls the start of the pipe/piston, so when you move the wheel bone the chassis bone just stay, making the pipe between the wheel and chassis stretch.

I have to ask this though about this deleted scene, did you do the voices for the characters here or was it from someone else? Just curious. Cause this is my first time actually seeing this scene being fully animated so I was curious.
The voices were made by other people. Honestly, I have no idea who. If you look for the storyboard, the scene already have these voices. For what I know, storyboarders voice their own storyboards (or ask for someone to do it), so I suppose the voices were made by Pixar storyboarders that worked on the movie Cars

Thank you! Well, it depends, usually takes months, maybe 3, 4 or 5 months of work. Pre production (modeling every character and scene), production (animating), rendering (the longest part of the process, might take a month for every frame gets rendered) and post production (editing, audio, etc).

You can search, for example, "car free 3d model", maybe "guns free 3d model", "furniture free 3d model" (you can find good models, texture and HDRI for free in Poly Heven), etc. There's even add-ons you can download for free that opens a big library of models for you to use in Blender (you can download the add-on on Poly Heven too)

I didn't follow any rule for animation, i just learned how to animate and got more experience every time I animate more. I just recommend you to be patient and look for reference of how animals move in real life (sorry I'm not a good teacher at all)

Everything in Blender. I had to use two separated projects file for Community Service, after both scenes were rendered i joined both and add the audio
