You throttled down up? Something when you hit return home, Abbey was saying any input would cancel GPS out. That's just what I think that went wrong 😮.

I like it that it beeps like that because I can count how many minutes I've been in so I can keep a constant system on the battery and all that stuff so I don't overdo the battery that's just my opinion

What if it hits the GPS wall too hard, will it break the propellor? How strong is this GPS wall we are talking about? Can it keep out other Unidentified Flying Aircrafts? We need more info on this wall, Sir Sailor the III from Duncanshier!

First thing I did with mine was rip out the Reflex V2 system. That thing with wires weighs 25 grams. I snapped the plastic nose gear doing touch and goes, pretty common issue. Tossed the battery hatch and built a new one out of light ply and mounted the main gear to it, converting the little sucker to a tail dragger with a skid for a tail wheel.
I really dislike that beep. I have a bunch of FMS ground crawlers that my son and I really like!

As long as the beep is not a constant one or every 5 seconds one.. especially for beginners. But a constant beep can panic the flyer. I am a victim of crashing a plane with a constant beep.
Great Plane. Its my first plane and taught me a lot that a sim can not. My only complaint is the front landing wheel. I know I'm not suppose to smash when landing, but I wish the connection with the steering servo was better.

BEEPS don't bother me...I usually don't hear them!! I think you should let the plane fly away if you're really testing the GPS, return to home...maybe on return to home it's flying to wherever FMS is located!! Thanks Saylors!! I'm trying really hard to be an airplane person!! ❤👍😘

have you done any videos on the full featured autopilots like pixhawk? others have done myriad videos on autopilots but because of your focus on layperson terms it would be more relatable to the novice
A good training plane, in my opinion, should teach the proper use of rudder. Does this Ranger do that? I don't like the AeroScout as much as I like the Sport Cub because the cub is really rewarding when the turn is coordinated. What are your thoughts on this rudder thing for beginners?

I’ve had this exact plane for awhile now and it is a good flyer, but the gps is total garbage. Completely a gimmick! It should work due to its cost. However It will fly away when you are needing it. Trust me! It will definitely not come back. It just bobs back and forth till you can not see it any more. I contacted Fms on this and they just sent me round and round wanting me to prove it. Well you have the same issue… so I just fly it as a park flyer and forget the gps junk. Fms defiantly did not stand behind it! Hopefully this helps others before buying.
The same happened to me I couldn't get a replacement and as I'm only 15 getting money isn't easy

Come on , you say and I quote " I don't think the GPS is anything to brag about" ....you tested return to home and it didn't work, you tested the 120 metre geo fence and it didn't work.
Basically, it didn't work and it's the headline feature of the plane yet you end the video praising it and even recommending it.
I'm sorry but as trusted reviewers as I'm sure you think of yourselves as and I'm sure you want everybody else to think of you as, just saying the gps is nothing to brag about when it doesn't even work should be the ending summary to the video. Imagine a gps drone that didn't come back, there will be people who buy this because of this feature and you really needed to warn them totally not to do so period
I would sincerely hope that no one would buy this airplane because of the GPS feature after watching our video. I apologize if I gave the wrong impression, but we even talk about the GPS features as the main part of the video. I mean, we literally show it failing. Remember, even when our $700 helicopter crashed, we still said some good things about the copter. It’s our job to be transparent, and the viewers responsibility to listen to what we are saying. I don’t like “doing the thinking for people” if that makes sense and I respect our viewers way more than that. It IS a good flying plane out of GPS mode and we demonstrated that. It is NOT a good GPS functioning airplane, which we demonstrated and didn’t sugar coat in any way. I truly don’t know how else to be than transparent. I think FMS should take the GPS out and sell it cheaper without that feature. 💯⚓️

ANYproduct that comes to market with a main selling feature that simply doesn't work should never be recommended in ANY way at all, I'm sorry but it's simply not right to do so, the product shouldn't be allowed to be sold if it doesn't work as advertised and you should be pointing this out as both a reviewer and consumer, only then will manufacturers actually take notice and not put out products thst dont work, you can help this happen as an influencer and reviewer, supplying a link to purchase the product is frankly not right, nobody is expecting you to do anybody's thinking for them, It doesn't work and that's not a product to endorse or supply links to purchase to.
Since we’ve started doing this, we’ve never demonstrated any product that is perfect. Something eventually fails or breaks. This comment thread is honestly starting to feel a little personal, and I’m confused by that. We often find that because we can see things for what they are, good and bad, but still have fun with them, this can be confusing to some viewers. Look, we’ve downright told people to avoid some products but the reason we still throw a link in the description is for two reasons. 1, so they can find the exact product in our video namely to know what to avoid, but believe it or not, there are a few people out there that like a weird challenge and will want to buy it, even if we show it failing hard. And 2, remember we do these videos for free. The only help we get is a very small commission if a person does use our link. We aren’t saying go out and buy the product we are showing, but clicking the link to the website and buying something else can still yield commission to us. Often people respect our stance enough to support us in that way. Trust me, these companies do not love when we show their things not working perfectly. Coming to the channel soon, we demonstrate a $600 jet failing. That doesn’t mean there aren’t cool things about the Jet as well. I’m going to stand my ground here, and probably agree to disagree that one failure does not result in basically totally trashing the company or whatever. However I will never hide any negative experience for any reason, and we’ve shown that time and time again. I’ll NEVER sell out with a crappy product to make a quick $2 and lose all credibility with our viewers. I will always share my experiences, both positive and negative. Its also a silly exaggeration to talk about totally trashing a company, that's not what I was suggesting you do at all and I think honestly you know that. Its about warning people concisely and clearly that the products main selling point doesn't work and also not mentioned is the fact it doesn't work means there are serious safety issues regarding fly aways, especially for a beginner who more than likely wants this plane because of the feature that doesn't work. On that basis alone it should never be recommended.
Disagree and defend your position as much as you like as you clearly have a right to do but it doesn't make you right.

I had the same issue with mine! My ranger 850mm has lost connection to the ready to fly remote every time I fly it. It happens randomly for no reason and I have no control when it happens so I have to just watch it crash wherever it goes. I bought it a year ago and flew it maybe 4 times and every single time, it took over and crashed. Do you think they can still send me a new plane even if I bought it a year ago?

seems to me the geofence is totally off because unless you have fpv or reduce the geofence the plane as it is, is not reliable. I'm a Inav advance pilot.

What you might try for the GPS fence is someplace with a good open area around it, and binoculars to keep an eye on the plane as it gets farther away. Maybe put one of your drones out that has distance feedback display, at about the distance the fence should kick in, so you have an actual reference for where the plane is in relation to that distance. Bonus would be that the drone could record video of the plane as it draws closer.

so this guy is $199. the sport cub flyzone is $156 . the cub doesn't have a gps but the gps doesn't seem to do much. not a great value perhaps
The best way to learn to fly is a Simulator not GPS. Get a good RC Plane Simulator like Real Flight. or the free one from Flite Test. Then go join an airplane club. You have to nowadays if you don't want to get busted flying without remote ID.
