It's not often you meet an enthusiast and collector who's willing to share with the world! Many great thanks to Jack.

A beautiful, wonderful collection and that compliment comes from a Ducati (959) owner whose 1st bike was.a Ducati Monza 250 in 1964 and who bought the 959 Panigale last year as a 70th birthday present to myself. Yes, still willing to throw a leg over a superbike.
Lovely collection, I can only wish to be that fortunate; thanks for the tour. That said, you broke my heart when you called the 999 "the dog of the range" and I don't say that because the 999 is the total extent of my Ducati collection, but because she is motorcycle which stands alone peerless in both style and performance. Her beauty runs deep, well past the "art-decoesque: fairings that allow her to slip seamlessly thru time and space. Her frame is strong, yet forgiving; and her power comes from her thoroughbred heart. And don't let her sleek lines and curving tail fool you; she is a champion; WSBK winner 2003, 2004, and 2006; making her the single winningest Ducati model ever. So please, don't call my sexy Italian redhead a dog, she's pure Fox

Couldn't agree more, there's beauty in sheer functionality, and the 999 range were better bikes in every way than the 916s. Always thought people would come around, I loved the 999s from the very beginning, Terreblanche is one of the great designers. He is not sung.
999r is a timeless piece. Beautiful bike in all aspects. Gorgeous design and hard to beat performance. Definitely more than enough for me on the track.
TheSectorMercy You cherish your one bike more than he cherishes 20 bikes. I'd love to own that bike, it's gorgeous.
When you see one in the flesh for the very first time (r and s models in particular) it hits you like the first time you saw what the cockpit of a single purpose fighter jet looked like. It's different but that's what makes it so unique today. I'll have one (s model) .
I agree .. the 999 wins it over the 916 for me
"never been started" is this guy out of his mind?
Yall butthurt cause he is able to amass this collection. Its his bikes and he can do whatever he wants to do. Thanks for sharing your collection.
Dear Jack,
Just stumbled across your post and a pleasure to see you. You always were a big man. I remember you passing me on the outside of clearways at Brands back in the 80's. You were riding an Exup1000 'shoe horned' into a 750 frame if my memory serves me right. I crashed several laps later.
Lovely selection of bikes. I have a smaller collection of Laverdas, bevels and a few 70's 'rice burners'.
Take care and warm wishes
William Massey
Some like to ride and some like to look. Room in the planet for both. Thx for protecting these for the future generations :)
2:50 This is no dog, these 999 bikes, particularly the 999S (the R is still out of my reach), are the bee's knees in my books; yes 'I love the form of it' too. Sure they are different but isn't that how special things in life are meant to be, unique?
WOW!!!!! I'm red with envy. Ahem the 999 and 749 are not dogs and are now becoming rightly
so, very collectable.
The MHR homologation bikes were the first 200 from 1979 they came with a certificate and had two separate seats, a single seater and a dual seat and a rubber strap holding the battery, I had one for 5 years and ran it as my daily driver, I've still got the numbered certificate even though I sold the bike in 1985. That's an immaculate MHR but it's nothing to do with the homologation bikes.
Yes that MHR looks to be a late model with silencers instead of Contis and electric start, probably the least desirable of the bevel drive desmo V-twins. Fabulous collection otherwise.
Why buy a painting when you can sit on your art in your kitchen. You Sir, are a legend.
Well said
2015 Ducati Monster 821 here. I tip my hat at your collection.
Respect! It's a beautiful collection, congratulations. Greetings from Hungary!
Jaw dropping collection, Thank you so much for sharing
All of these motorcycles are beautiful.
The best Ducati collection I ever seen!!!
Wow what a bunch of miserable jealous people responding to this, lovely collection. I think it is fantastic
i do to the most beautiful duc is a 1000 with no fairing its a plain bike and its beautiful
Couldn’t agree more
I do appreciate a collection and the preservation of bikes but I must say. As a owner of a Ducati 750 Sport, 89 model. Nothing beats the enjoyment of riding the bike. Meeting people who share the same passion as yourself. Getting smiles and thumbs up wherever you go.
It becomes more of a shared experience when the bike gets used and I am amazed by all the different people you will meet when riding a Ducati. You or no one else will share that common joy when a motorcycle is stored.
Fantastic collection you have there 👍. It's nice to see someone really taking proper care of those bikes.
I love you Ducati collection and the Honda at the end. Also I love the classic 80s and 90s style of the bikes. You are one lucky man. Every man never grows out of his toys. :-)
A fantastic video, and so well presented. This collection is wonderful, stunning bikes, and in all the right ways I am green with envy. I think the 996R and the 900SS 1975 are the two best looking bikes ever made, oh and the Egli Vincent CR by Godet. Great collection, all the very best in the future with your collection, its a real credit to you, and a true reflection of your passion. I have a Vee Two Imola on order, im sure you would love one yourself.
Thanks for the tour real nice collection and I would agree that the SP3 and 4 have to be my favorite Ducati's
One Day
Wow, amazing collection. Green with envy.
How did I miss this.. Absolutely stunning! I had an original ‘94 916 Strada back in the early 00s.. Currently only have an RRX Fireblade and Aprilia RSV Factory.. But if I could, I would love to add an 888 SP5.. Appreciate you sharing, what a collection..
Omg what a collection .. and everyone has its story ... I have a single 916 bp bought her new in 1997 & we are still in love .. gotta agree with you 999 thx you for sharing enjoyed every second of it ..
wow! this is excellent! love seeing these great bikes!
in fact i have another one in the kitchen i will show you had me in tears
You are hilarious, Mad Jack! I have just one 2006 Monster 800. Bravo! Good for you to preserve untouched units!
Very jealous stunning collection of beautiful bikes amazing
Cool history. Relaxing vid
That's the garage of my dreams right there!
got a 2004 749s and an 2015 899 love them both, but would love to have this collection.
beautiful collection, next Supersport S YOU WILL LOVE IT!
Jezz what a great collection! I own a 1997 916 and a 2008 1098r and I try to ride them as much as I can. He has to have help riding all of those great Duc's! And I can attest to his statement about the 1098r being an absolute beast. Not really a fair comparison to the 916 of course. I enjoy riding the 916 more because at least I can give it full throttle in 1 2nd and 3rd on the street:) That 996r is the best to me. Had the privilege to see one at Pro Italia when I lived in Cali in 2000. As mentioned below not sure if my 1098r has 200hp but its fucking fast! Feels like it has twice as much hp as my 916 but I believe its more of a torque hit and less weight than hp its fucking pulling hard at 4500rpm like crazy lifting the front end in 3rd at 7500 rpm. Then again I'm old now and a young gun I'm sure will not feel the same. Anyway, I hope he gets outs and rides all of them, fast!
I live in a council flat with my collection of old newspapers and beer cans.Bugger.
if you give up drinking all that beer and reading all them news papers and save up your money you could pick up a nice Ducati for £2000 in a few years LOL
really lovely collection here, mate! great taste in machinery!
Wonderful collection of reds!! Now it's time for a Panigale!!
u are obviously a madman!... (complimentary). How do such pursuits manage to draw such attention to detail without pissing the wife off; or sacrificing the business - to the point that you are no longer able to afford such collection!..
Complimenti! Davvero un bellissimo garage 👍😉👏👏
Great tour thanks 👍
Excellent video and collection! Obviously enjoy them, that's what it's all about!
Never been started? How can you resist?
A very great Collection!
Amazing!!👍🏻 Thanks for sharing.
You sir,are a man with class..👏🇬🇧
Would love to see his collecting in 2022
Such a beautiful collection :) selling my S4R soon to buy a 999R
Beautiful collection, every ducatista's dream
beautiful ducati collection, especially ducati 1098
I have a 916 strada, with some add ons for already 11 years, and i will never sell or or want to buy any other model ever in my life. I dreamt about it in the nineties and bought it in 2000s
What a great video and great taste in bikes, my favourite must be the desmoscedici but there all beutiful.
Amazing beautiful bikes
Being rich must be fun 😄 I would also stuff my house with bikes, good taste there 😎
The 999 has aged well with time. It was a stark change after the glorious 916 era, but man they can design a bike
Awsome collection, my god!
cheers
Fantastic bit of kit
Tosser
Great, great vid man. Love it! I do ride my 888 once in a while :-)
If it hasn’t been started it’s just Art ! You Criminal ! Ducati’s are made to ride … I hope you get that Cub out regularly !
My 2005 999R has 36000 miles on it and a fresh top end. Where have I gone wrong?
I love Ducati. Great collection but some bikes never been started.... !! It's sad !
These bikes are the crown jewels of the Ducati range, I too collected the R versions of three - 999, 1098 and the D16 although here in Australia they can be hard to find, he`s right when he calls the 1098 R and D16 RR way too fast for the road, but that can be said about all big Dukes..
I’ve got a collector bike Thats never been ridden. I do start it at times, because I assumed it would keep seals and stuff good. The bikes u haven’t started do you have issues like that with them? Also what do you do if anything to them. Thanks.
The 999 will reclame his place in the history of ducati, in 10 years no one will say that it's ugly anymore
not jealous at all... beautiful collection mate!
Jack thanks for the guided tour, cant match your collection but bikes in the house is the future, a drum brake 3 1/2 Morini Sport in the bedroom (a bugger to get up the stairs) totally see where your coming from 996R in the kitchen, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, bikes are art.
Nice Jack you have excellent taste in motorcycles .
Nice Collection
Dope collection. One day i'll have mine too, but all ducati monsters
+funaicha1 Love my monsters!
Of course you will.
I've got a highly modified 1993 Monster 900 with 944 kit, 2mm oversize valves, + a shitload of head work 41 mm mikunis & Imola style fairing Very sexy & very fast
Mint collection
Wow that is a stunning collection, i own a mh900e...also a bike to be yealous about,
Love the DUC collection😁
GREAT indeed !
🥺🥺🥺🥺 Impressive ! Mr Gratton my congratulations
wow! so great to see Jack, just a fantastic collection and great to see you get them out on the road....but I have always thought the 999 is a superb bike, can't see why people dont like it??
of course it is..statisticly is them ost successfull racing bike...but who this dummass know..if he never ride it!
Hey dog of the range . Just bought my dream 999s fila rep..😀 I love it more over a 916.. beautiful collection and thank you for sharing .. ps demo is my fav 😍😍😍
Terrific … and very red!
Nothing wrong with never starting them- they are there for investment. It’s a financial exercise not an emotional one, as long as he still enjoys looking at them in his house.
Excellent collection Mr. Gratton!
Surprised not to see a single single*!
(*witty pun intended)
Also missing, not to create a gorge, because I don't have one in my meagre collection yet, but I'm extremely fond of the Senna 916. Did you not want one?
(ps - you're giving me anxiety by keeping your trophies above your bikes without being enclosed in a glass case! Please tell me you plan to rectify that. Especially with the little curious one starting to climb bikes.)
First off, a beautiful collection! But as much as I hate to do so, I have to correct. Carl Fogarty never won the World Superbike title on an 888, nor did he win the title in 1991. His first title was in 1994 on the 916 which he backed up on in 1995. I'll put that down to nerves or being on camera etc.
his wins were on 1299s against 1000s
@@jeraldhawkins7939 Nope. There never has been a 1299cc bike in WSBK. Foggy's titles were on 916 models of 955-996cc against 750cc fours.
@@Desmo904 thats what they want you to believe but its not true
@@jeraldhawkins7939 Ok. You know better than the scrutineers. I'm not arguing the point when I know the correct details. You've already shown you don't know the facts. I will not be replying to any more.
@@Desmo904 you mean the one he won 27 out of 28 races on
I don't know about people's choice but for me 999R is NR:1 in all motorcycle history , it was and still my Dream Machine . I never had a real motorcycle :) (apart of few 125cc - 250cc Minsk, IJ Planeta 5, Jawa 250 from USSR) but in my eyes the most gorgeous in the world is DUCATI 999R !
of course it is..statisticly is the most successfull racing bike...but who this dummass know..if he never ride it!
1:13 Doug Pollen won the WSB in 1991, not Foggy sorry Jack (ref en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_Superbike_World_Championship)
5:06 Marco Lucchinelli won one race in 1988 not the championship, sorry Jack (ref en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1988_Superbike_World_Championship)
deliberate mistakes by Jack who knows these bikes really well :-)
FYI, Carl Fogerty won the world championship in 1994 and 1995, not 1991. The 1991 and 1992 world championships were won by Doug Polen.
Great collection, really jealous well done
Gorgeous bikes, Ive got a Multistrada 1200 S but thats the extent of my collection lol.
Beautiful collection. I'd be worried about a break in or the likes. They're in plain sight and don't look overly secure. Bloody awesome though!
That se5's a Tigermoth :)... knows his dukes though, fantastic collection and a better looking investment you'll be hard pressed to find.
where are the Nortons, Triumphs ?
very cooool collection
everything is the most beautiful thing
Yeah, very much like my collection, except mine are mostly Hondas (except for the Velocette, two Bultacos, and a CCM BMW hybrid), plus none are rare, all need some level of restoration, and they’re worth a bit less. 🧐😎😜
Thank you for sharing
No 998r?
Great taste in cars and bikes.
Why do you lot post jealous shit on here ? fair play to JG for enjoying his toys and preserving a few special bikes for future generations to wonder at. I'd probably have the Desmo if I could afford it !! - but then I already have 3 bikes and my garage isn't that big ! If nobody looks after these special bikes they will all eventually be lost.
I bought a bike - the KTM 500 - from him a couple years back and he was a really decent bloke who genuinely loves his bikes - and he still rides road, track & enduro - as do I, so good for you JG.
I like the 999 🤷🏼♂️
I’m not jealous at all. I have no problem with a wealthy man spending his money as he sees fit. I had a chance of a MHR in 1986 for two and a half grand. Biggest mistake ever not buying that.
Would be worth twenty K plus now
excelente!!
OMG. I have to lie down after watching this.
Back again in 2019 to marvel at this collection 👍🏻 I’ve just sold my last Ducati 😩 but have a wonderful private plate for sale: V2 FAN 🤩 Anyone?
number plates are daft.
Ive got a (now) very rare strada 916 I have had from new and Its now on around 60000 miles..and I,m bothered I dont get out as much as Id like...why on earth have them if you dont ride them???
They increase in value,
This man has his priorities right. Instead of changing smartphones every year and buying the last fashion item he puts his money into bikes. I know a few guys like this. Home interior is still the same as 30 years ago but the garage is packed with bikes like these. Wish I had the character to say no to our consumption society and put my money into things that last. 996R is my favorite
Fetch the dinner plates by the 918
