- These are the opening end tag, game win, 5 game win, bonus round win, ticket plug, and contestant bonus crossover cues used from 1978-1986 on the syndicated version of the Barry & Enright U.S. game show " The Joker's Wild". This music was written by Hal Hidey.

After opening end tag, "Thank you, thank you very much, and a most cordial welcome once again to The Joker's Wild."
The game win cue was also heard at times if someone won the bonus game.
These 1978-1986 music cues composed by Hal Hidey on The Joker's Wild will also be an era on the ABC Daytime version hosted by Victoria Principal.

I've been searching FOR YEARS for that bonus round music...& now it's finally here, thank you for posting this!! All I need to locate now is the music that was played when Jack Barry always introduced the catagories.
Thank you for posting all these music clips to the best game show of all times! Brings back a lot of great memories from the mid-late 70's and early 80's. Jack was a class act- hard to follow, or to live up to. Mike in Fresno, Ca.

I can almost see Jack jogging onto the set when that first cue plays. Or should have been the ending of the last original theme song.
0:34 - Sounded like an ending theme for a Tom & Jerry Cartoon!
The last 3 notes of the game win cue sounded like a “Wheel Of Fortune” solve cue.
I hope they use some of this music for the Snoop Dogg Version when it appears on TBS later this year.
These cues give me Hoyt Curtin vibes!
The crossover cue used in later years was originally used on Bullseye when a contetant won the Bonus Round or main rounds.

There were two other crossover cues, one was a clip of Bullseye's prize music.
The other one was from "Tic Tac Dough" when a contestant won a car. (Cullen Era)
The original bonus crossover cue (from 1977-78, the first year in syndication, before Hal Hidey took over the show's music) was the bonus round win cue from "Hollywood Connection". HC also used TJW's category cue ("Gamineries" by Jean Leroi) as maingame think music.
