Fun fact: during this quest whrn searching for the ore to make the core, u can actually find Xiao around standing on a pillar and talk to him, in which he reveals about Beisht is close in the dialogue.

Xiao was keeping his guard to protect Liyue, he probably sensed something was going on with Beisht, and there was also Qiqi at the harbor, she said that Ningguang ordered her to evacuate everyone, but no one was listening Qiqi so instead she stood there wanting to protect everyone. I also heard that you could go to Madame Ping and she would also say something bad will happen but I can't find anything to verify that
Keqing also cameos at Guyun Stone Forest building the Guizhong Ballistas.
After this quest I just love yunjin for making a song for shenhe sad story, shenhe finally realized she needed to change herself. It showed yunjin and shenhe character so well

I find it really sweet how the more human adepti were hanging around when this happened, waiting. Xiao mentions it in the ore quest and about how he’s waiting to step in, Qiqi’s at the docks and says that since no one’s evacuating she’ll stand guard. I know it’s their obligation, but it’s still sweet that the adepti are always waiting to step in and protect
Qiqi was a part of this?? I saw Xiao during the quest, but I never saw Qiqi. In fact I've NEVER seen Qiqi since the Liyue Archon story
@@gajaan316 if I remember correctly its that qiqi tried to tell the people of liyue to evacuate, they didnt listen so she just stood guard there in the harbor to stand guard.
I found xiao as I saw him, but I only accidentally saw qiqi as I was gliding over liyue.
Though he doesn't appear, I'm sure Zhongli was also watching as well. It's sweet how the adepti (plus Qiqi) are always ready to defend Liyue, no matter what.
Cloud Retainer and I think Mountain Shaper are hanging around as well. Mountain Shaper is annoyed but agreed to let the humans try to solve it themselves. They're standing ready to intercept if it gets to be too much though. If I remember right, Zhongli is in fact drinking tea while within view of the docks in the cutscene after this one.
@@gajaan316 Oh yeah she was right below the blacksmith on the docks and while taking a quest while standing next to Katheryne I just saw her on the docks from there and was shocked she was there, so I talked to her and she said just that. What a trooper haha.

I feel like it's a representation of the traveler with their power drained. their default weapon is the golden sword, but with all of their power robbed, that weapon become just a dull blade.
I may be geeking out over this but seriously, attention to detail even in the dialogue is amazing!
2:07 Beidou called it a “Tsunami” while the Millelith called it a giant wave… because Beidou and her crew are the only ones who have gone to Inazuma (Japan) and learnt that Japanese term.

Gameplay wise? Yes or a bit as seen with Ganyu charging but she is an adepti anyways. Lorewise? No. Shenhe is a mortal but trained under the adepti so Shenhe is a bit above Ayaka in that aspect.
Ayaka and Kazuha are formidable in-game but wouldn't be like Venti, Zhongli, Sara etc. in lore. Though Kazuha did block the musuo for a bit but still not as on par with the others. Again, this is lore power.

What I mean by this is, of course visions already make vision holders much stronger but those with enhancements like Childe thanks to his Foul Legacy and Dottore with his tech.
Dottore beat a delusion wielding Diluc (and that Diluc has been gone and went vengeance mode for a few years). I'm thinking of having elemental beings as a sub category but nah! Let's say the enhanced category is 3/5 then such elemental beings like Signora are 3.5/5 or 4 and along with it are geniuses like Lisa, Albedo, and Cyno.
Then vision holders like Hu Tao, Chongyun, Xinyan, Xiangling, Ayaka etc. you get the idea.

TRUE FACT: Some people are probably wondering why a 4 star character like Ningguang are always part of every great story quest, the answer is Ningguang was supposed to be originally a *5 star* character however back then Mihoyo states their are already too many 5 stars so they made her a 4 star
I mean that makes sense. She's literally the head of Liyue's governing body - the others in similar positions of power (like Ayaka and Jean) are all five-stars, I believe.

Shenhe really got robbed with her kit. Everything about her screams dps. Why does someone like ganyu - someone focused on helping people - get a supreme dps role in comparison to this absolute chad of a character?
Trueee, just slap on ganyu wide burst aoe on shenhe, decrease burst cooldown, and have an a1 or passive ascension that infuses her attacks with cryo or have a cryo double hit after each NA dmg, making her a dps and a decent support, idk how to change her e skill maybe taunt? Or increased speed depending on which is activated idk

don't forget Qiqi was also there near the docks preparing to unleash her sealed adeptal powers just in case ganyu fails to freeze the advancing tsunami that is heading towards the harbor

Shenhe’s story quest made me so glad I pulled for her. She’s great fun and super useful as is, but I’ve not loved a character so quickly in this game. The story team for Mihoyo really did well with her

This archon quest had more depth and emotions than most of Inazuma and Raiden's lore. Inazuma had so much potential, everything was really good but the execution was poor.
I think except for Arataki Ito quest
liyue never disapoints every quest and cutscene is so interesting, I heard that the writer for the liyue quests left the team so inazuma was written by someone else

Fun fact. Shenhe's story quest is actually a precuel before Inazuma's archon quest, that's why even if the traveler is currently using electro, the cutscene will show it as geo, because you haven't got to Inazuma yet
I wouldn't say that's the case. The Traveler's element seems to change according to the nation he's in regardless of what element the person is using gameplay wise.
I started playing this game a few weeks ago and just did this quest. During the quest they show characters as if I should know them, but in fact I didn't see them in game before. It made me realize that i'm playing the game in a order that wasn't really meant to be played like that.
@@NLwinoHuh really? I just did this quest today after I finished the archon quest with osial and there's no characters I'm "supposed to know" at all. There's only Shenhe (she introduced herself after "saving" from robbers), Beido (he got introduced when we're preparing for the Rite of Parting), Beido and Yin Jun/Yun Jin (they introduced themselves when the opera girl proposed to work together). There's also Xingqui (?) but I'm pretty sure that his story quest was taken place before this.

For example Beidou is introduced in "A Path Through the Storm". But you can do "The Crane Returns on the Wind" first. Like I did.
Beidou was not yet introduced during the rite of parting btw. And she not a he but a she.
Fun fact: before you do this quest if you go to the island where Keqing and her men are you can see them building the Ballista’s and keqing is also there whom you can speak with about it
You can also meet Qici near harbour deck where she would talk about gathering medicines for imminent future.

liyue's quests been amazing honestly, probably the best out of the three regions imo. the cutscenes are just-- gah damnnn. i remember playing the first archon quest and the fight with osial and wondering how mihoyo would top that, and somehow they did not disappoint. (well-- maybe it's just because this takes place after the inazuma archon quest that i know a lot of people aren't fans of)

I hope Mihoyo releases a separate unit 5* version of Ningguang with different skill set. Instead of summoning a shield barrier she would summon a maximum if 2 Guizhong Balistas(3 if you unlock the constellation). Her burst would look like the animation shown at 1:19 where she summoned a geo wall which fired a barrage of gems or rocks on the target.
And the guizhong ballista gives ningguang an off field capability. It will continually shoot a barrage of jades at the enemies like a machine gun even when Ningguang goes off field.😋

I think this is one of the most stunning cutscenes thus far. Was absolutely blown away by how amazing it was, and how cool Shenhe looks and how much shes developed through the questline

to be fair to Ganyu, Ningguang may have specifically told her only to step in if absolutely necessary, since she's an adeptus and this was Liyue's chance to prove that humanity had what it takes on its own to defeat the fallen gods that plague it.

Well, Keqing is only mortal, she won't be anywhere near powerful enough to actually go up against a demigod. Out of all characters there, Ganyu may be the only one who's remotely capable of holding her own in the absents of upgraded Guizhong ballista support.

Similarly, Ganyu, Xiao, and Madam Ping helped to protect the Jade Chamber at least indirectly by giving the traveler their power. And finally, all the adepti lent their strength to the traveler when they destroyed the Jade Chamber).
Last time was enough for the Adepti to give Liyue Harbor the chance to prove its strength, but this was the actual test of strength.

When I saw the mililith, the jade chamber and beidou looking fabulous on her ship i was awe struck. But what really hit the nail on the coffin was 2:20. Like I physically made a fist and bowed my head down a little in satisfaction because the music along with rhe cutscene was unbelievably good. It really reminds me of why I play genshin to begin with whenever I start to get bored because I farm and so side stuff alot. So doing the main story sparingly and watching those epic scenes rly makes me want to keep playing.

well ganyu is a half adepti and shenhe was able to freeze the waves while she's only a human so ganyu probably can just shoot the tsunami into ice

Seeing this event from a Liyuean's eye. You're just business as usual. The sky suddenly darkens with unwarned thunderstorm following. You look up to wonder what's wrong with the weather, instead you see the Jade Chamber floating above at speed you've never imagine it could travel. You look in the direction of its flight and you see a giant serpentine monster made out of pure ocean water. You think to yourself "bruh".
