Rocket, Pixel & Sushi return after a year travelling the world (they wish) only to find that it’s cold in the UK and there’s this strange white thing called snow that sticks to your paws. I try to get them to build a snowman but it’s much warmer inside so I resort to throwing snowballs at the window instead (including one that was hiding a big stone, oops!).

rocket was not happy about the snow but pixel and sushi seemed to not mind
Yeah he was a bit of wuss back then but now, out door life in the country and he is more used to it. Still doesn't like the cold much though!

Unexpectedly sweet side of Rocket (my favourite of the three) in this video. I got the impression that as the mischievous one, he's a cat more for entertainment than affection. Not that he isn't companionable, he was clearly appreciative of being walked on the beach!
Aww, thanks. Rocket is quite different to the girls and it has taken him a long time to be OK with affection. I think what was happening for some time (and we didn't realise to start with) was that Sushi was making him feel uneasy around the house. Eventually it became obvious that was what was happening so it was a difficult period. Rocket is now much happier now though and as a result he likes his cuddles and the massages and the special stroking glove haha. He still whines about it but he loves it really :)
@@HotRocketBengalCats The two seemed to get on OK after Rocket got back from his walk on the beach but a few seconds doesn't tell the full story. Other than what you've said about Rocket, the three don't seem to have changed much in personality in the 8-10 or so years you've had them - Rocket still has that wide-eyed look of innocence about him (I think also while not being the most talkative he has the loudest meow?), Pixel remains kitten-like and very chatty, while Sushi is more dignified and seems to be the boss of the house.
Yep you've pretty much described the 3 of them! It was a very interesting triangle that didn't seem to make sense with the way they interacted with each other. Unfortunately things did get worse over time and ultimately we asked my partners parents if they would home Rocket in order to make life better for everyone. It was a really low period but I couldn't split the girls up and I didn't want to say goodbye to Rocket since it wasn't his fault, it was Sushi. He became very cautious and was always checking around. I hated seeing that.
Basically Sushi and Rocket started to pee around the house and eventually it was several times a day, everywhere. I persevered but eventually broke down. Now, Rocket is enjoying life in the country, gets to go out whenever he wants and is the boss of his environment! Plus I get to see him every so often :)
I always remembered when snow would and my Bengal would go goofy watching it
And eating it...and demanding to go outside then get cold, warm up and go back out.
It must not snow often in your area if this is their first time with snow.
I thought ours would be more interested but they obviously have got used to being warm inside haha. We are seeing less and less snow in our area these days but we've moved house now, further from the city and chances are we might get some more over the next few years, yaayy! I had to mix in some footage from previous years too (I'm so far behind sorting out files!)

Hi Patrick! No I had to mix in some footage from the past too as I'm so far behind with sorting out video files. I have 2TB here.. it's a mission! This video was meant to be for last Christmas too, the past year was a difficult one for us, moving house and a few unfortunate things happened. We are back on track now though and still recording. I've got some footage of the kittoes in our new house and I'm really hoping we get some snow in Feb!

Yes, really good considering - still on chemo tablets until march so her immunity is slightly less right now. She's definitely not going out to explore the new outside areas for a few months yet but we'll see what she is like later. Apart from her shaved areas (which are taking ages to grow back) she is pretty much herself now which is amazing really. We came *this* close...

Yep it was a chunky stone that I had picked up by accident! Was quite lucky the window didn't crack given how I threw it!

Ah this video was meant to be out last winter so some of the footage is from then, some from now. I've moved to a more rural area so this Feb/Mar I'm hoping to see more snow than normal. I'm by moorland so there is often a completely different weather system up here :) Sadly it's no longer like 1976/86 - amazing snow years!
how long did you spend throwing snowballs at the window
hehe about 15 mins before my hands couldn't pick up any more snow :P

No it's a pathetic amount here! Although to be fair, when we do get snow we can't deal with it either! It's been about 7 years since we had a decent amount of snow... How's you Jake anyway? Are the cat pack doing well?!
@@HotRocketBengalCats yep in fact my Savannah girl Leah who's now a year old was wrestling with one of my Bengal girls ( Hannah ) my grey and white tabby was sitting on the back of the coach in the living room watching the birdies and my Abyssinian was chilling on the cat tree in my bedroom she's still there now and as for me and my sisters and my girlfriend we've been getting on well
@@HotRocketBengalCats here in Canada we are well prepared to deal with the amount of snow we get sometimes even our local rail lines are well equipped for it
I threw a few snowballs at our windows last winter when my two Bengal girls Sadie and Hannah were sitting at the window Sadie got startled and looked around but Hannah couldn't have cared less I'm going to try it this winter with my Savannah girl Leah she's never seen snow yet
That's cool Jake! I'm not sure we will get much snow these days sadly although I did move house further into the country so it will get colder. Will be interesting to see what they think if it does! Hope you are OK.
Pixel here has been having a rough time tbh. Dealing with cancer and eye issues so she hasn't quite been herself. We're hoping things will get slowly better though, poor girl.

Thank you Jake. Yeah it's been hard for her and us, especially since we moved here mostly for Pixel to explore the woods and she's only been able to do it a bit due to her low immunity to infections. We were told it can't be cured and that we only have a limited time... so we're trying to spend lots of time with her and I've been taking her out on a leash for controlled walks and exploration at least.
I know it will be coming at some point but for the minute I'm trying to not think about it too much! Love your cats as much as you can !

Hi but what happened to your Channel or your life?
Hello! We were having a difficult moving house period of 6 months and then just as we were ready to move my daughters mother died and Pixel nearly died too (the night before our move). It was all quite hard and upsetting but things have settled down now and Pixel had a last minute rescue in the form of chemotherapy tablets.

That's OK, these things happen and it's hard at the time. Pixel is back to herself now, playing and talking (and eating, that was worrying) so we are making the best of our time with her :)
