He did not get shot in the face! Where, on his face, do you see an injury? Where, in the news, does it say "face"? It winged the top of his ear. It's an appalling thing to have happen, scary, but not a shot in the face. And what was he doing out of his shoes in the first place?
Unless Trump's head was very tilted (which it does not appear to be) the bullet on the shown trajectory would not have lined up with Trump's ear.
