I came here just to say that after hearing Elliot Coleman last, wow for me he elevates the band to a world class level. I loved the other singers, but for some reason this voice just blows me away listening to these songs again
I think all the singers have been amazing but in all honesty Elliot was great and this version is my favourite Tesseract song. Followed closely by Resist though.
Both versions rock, and both singers rock!! Many bands lose bandmembers for different reasons. Gotta learn to accept that and enjoy the music for what it is and ofc for what it was. Bands mature, and if you cant cope with that then you should just leave it be and let us who appreciate the music, well, continue to appreciate it! TesseracT will evolve and move on while you stand still...
was listening to this song through my laptop speakers - sound was OK; put my headphones on - blown away by the awesomeness of the bass frequency and low harmonies! AWESOME!!!

It's really a shame that more people can't get into Elliot's vocals. His voice is something incredibly special and beautiful. I'm sure I would've enjoyed Altered State far more had he remained with Tesseract. To each their own, of course, but I honestly think losing Elliot was one of the worst things that's happened to Tesseract's sound.

the symbolism in this song is incredible (the song is also groovy as hell). The masked men are representative of us as natural beings, how, as lovely a creature as earth is, we are to hungry for power that we could kill such a beautiful creation (the woman in the video, with the embodiment of her power, the tesseract).

Actually, I've always wished they'd re-record or at least remaster One, It's a great album but I feel like the production lacks a lot of the power of their later work.
If it destroyed the image you conjured then that image wasn't potent enough to withstand any others' imagination. It wasn't an image worth having. It should get you closer to the one you thought of instead of taking it away.
The problem with the video for this song is that it is mere nonsensical imagery and bullshit that has NOTHING to do with the actual lyrics, just like what they did with Singularity.

Insanely creative, and making it their own style... One of the few bands that isn't copying another. And no that was not a challenge to hate on Tesseract. I think we can all agree it takes bloody good musicians to come out with this orginal stuff, whether you like it or not.

I think everyone of the singers have done a really great work, no matter the way and style. This is one of the reasons they are a great band.
