About suggested decks, the most interesting reformed decks for Pioneer after the first wave of Kamigawa cards seem to be Esper Vehicles (a completely new one with the legendary rat guy and Parhelion II) and both a reformed Azorious Ensoul deck (with the Lanter of the Lost as a meta-call against phoenix and Michiko's saga) and Rakdos Sacrifice with Oni-Cult Envil. I'll consider running more mainboard artifact hate in the coming weeks, things seem to go for an artifact-y meta for a bit.

Was just about to head into the comment section to ask as well. I guess part of it is that we have perfect knowledge but personally I play for a more "make them have it" playstyle when you have as a developed board as Kenobi had
@@Voidoath I think it was just a miss from his side. With only one plains in play the only card Jamin possible could interact with is a sword -but that would obviously be his first choice of removal (also chalice on 1) so there're no excuses not to force at that point. 😅

Why did pleasentkenobi not forced the solitude in game 1?
Around 26:10 the guy who has Death and Taxes floats mana after his draw step to cast Recruiter of the guards. Does after draw step mean beginning of main phase, or is a player still in their upkeep?
Untap, upkeep, draw, main. So yeah if you tap saga in response to its trigger you can use that mana in your precombat Main phase.

Modern fun deck: jund fattys
A janky deck created by me to barf out fattys over and over, blisterpod makes actually casting all the fattys a little bit easier (sac the blister to groff, the token can be sac’d on the opponent’s turn to cast wanderer, the token can make mana for myr). Dryad arbor is for tutoring to sac to groff or as a creature based mana for superion. Kari zev+ groff gives you a way to kill off a pesky creature that doesint wanna die. The rest of the deck is pretty self explanatory

Sorry to respond to an old comment but Urza's saga doesn't cast the artifact it puts it on to the battlefield, like aether vial.
@@OtherSideLLC saga puts it from the library onto the battlefield, which graf diggers shuts down
8-Cast has a Grafdigger's Cage in Side... but you can't use Emry ability if Cage is on the battlefield.
So what decks is Cage against?
Reanimator, Elves, and Green Sun’s Zenith decks spring to mind.

There’s an error in this. After the first mull for jamin in game one, he draws 6 cards then puts 1 to the bottom, starting him with 5 cards after 1 mull instead of 6

yeah he only drew 6 from him mull, when he should have drawn the full 7. he mixed olfd and new rules in a way that was the worst possible for him
