Follow solutions self chem as we go over how to use demon wp insecticide from syngenta. Demon WP is a great insecticide for control of spiders, roaches, fleas, and other pests. Demon wp is a concentrate that must be mixed with water and sprayed around your home or business and makes between 2 and 40 gallons of spray.
This is the best pesticide. I have been using it for two years. It has been effective on all bugs and roaches.
Love this stuff works great no bugs in my yard. I spray this once a month all over the outside of my house and yard, sheds and don't have to worry about creepy crawlies .

If the brinck covers a crawl space i would treat the entire height to ensure pests do not get underneath and then find their way up. If it is slab spraying cracks is an excellent way to prevent pests.
It will always be best to treat where the dirt touches a structure because that is where the bugs will have to cross to get in. Also make sure bushes and trees are not touching your siding or they could escape the spray.

Demon WP is not labelled for lizards. In my experience lizards are around because their food, the insect population, is in great supply. Once you get rid of the insects with Demon or any insecticide the lizards will be reduced significantly.
Demon is non staining but if the surface is dark the powdery residue will be visible. I would recommend going with an EC like demon max or Viper EC as they will leave no visible residue.

The 1lb jars have been discontinued by Syngenta. We will have stock until we run out which should be at least a year. We bought a truckload when we heard it was going away.

Hi Mrs. Bertrand,
Demon WP will eliminate centipedes. Mix 1 scoop per gallon of water and treat foundation and weep holes as well as inside along the baseboards. Those are the entry points. Centipedes are occasional invaders and will not be a long term problem if you do nothing.

If you use in your house, do you have to spray it and then leave for a while before coming back in the house, or can you just spray in cracks and behind things and stay in the house?
I used this stuff for my spider crickets..worked great..I have not seen one camel cricket sense use of this stuff

If you are using it all up this winter there will not be an issue with termites.
Treating the wood is not recommended especially with Demon. The only product wood can really be treated with is Boracare but again not wood you would want to burn.
Termites could be a concern regarding that stack? If so, suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again Zach!

I believe that only the 1LB jars are discontinued. The packets should continue to be available.
My house has a brick foundation a 2-4 feet in height, give or take depending on what side of the house you are on. I have masonite siding right above the foundation. With that in mind, when I treat the foundation, do I have to treat the entire surface of that foundation from ground up to the siding or just the part of the foundation where the siding starts? You are able to use this in the yard. 1 scoop per gallon is the recommended rate.

Demon WP is very good for ants. You can soak the mound to eliminate colonies or treat the foundation and windows and doors as a preventative barrier around your home or business.
Will demon wp work on my neighbors dog? He wont stop barking.
I was hoping to see you mixing it. I read it's dangerous, i know gloves are imperative, but did you have to wear a mask while mixing it?

Thanks for your response Zach! On the other side of the brick is my crawl space. That said I will treat the entire brick area.
One other thing - I plan on placing a stack of freshly split wood near the house (probably about 10-15 feet away from one side of the house). I will let that wood "season" for burning in my fireplace in the colder months. That said, would you recommend using DEMON WP to treat around this stack of wood and if so, where should I spray to keep carpenter ants out of it?
My house is painted hardi plank, if i spray the facia will it drip all over the house and cause marks, stains?

Nobody answered the most important question of all: WHEN SPRAYED IN THE HOUSE, CAN YOU BE IN THE HOUSE AS WELL? OR DO YOU HAVE TO LEAVE FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS?
As per the label on the product, we recommend you wait at least 3-4 hours or until the product is completely dry.

Cypermethrin is a skin irritant for people pretty bad so it may be on horses as well. I am not sure what to tell you because the label has no regulations. I would suspect that they would be fine as long as it is not sprayed directly on them and they only come back when it is dry.

It doesn't seem to do anything against cellar spiders/daddy long legs.
Just got some today. Do you cut the packets open or actual throw the whole packet into the 1 gallon of water?

They are dissolveable pouches.
Btw this stuff DOES have an odor. I use it all the time for spiders in my condo. The stuff really works but open windows while you're spraying.
How long can it be used after it has been mixed? Does it lose potency over time after mixing with water?

Depending on the chlorine content of your water the chemical can break down over time. We always recommend only mixing up what you are planning on spraying. It Houston it will break down quickly in the tank.

It is being discontinued due to applicator hazard. People were opening full jars and getting a face full of cypermethrin. It is still available from distribution though. Would you recommend this for Carpenter bees that are living in privacy bushes?
Why would anyone want to kill spiders. They kill and eat insects trying to enter your home. They are your allies,as creepy as they are. Another thing,what you call a fascia board is actually a friese board.

I have little tiny spiders all over our kitchen counters, can I spray it on the counter and then clean it off after its dried?
No. Please do not spray demon on the counter. Best thing you can do it clean up with a water wet rag and then after dry apply demon to cracks and crevices under you cabinets and where the piping comes in. The spiders are coming from somewhere and you need to eliminate them at the source. Demon on the counters will not work and it is not labelled for that. Melinda Curtis, inside the house mix in medium spray bottle half bottle of water and half of the spray bottle with dawn dish soap. It's not chemically harmful to your skin and cleans up easy after leaving set for wrong hrs. I use this mix inside my van, my motor home and outside.

1 gallon of water to cover about 1,000 square feet, you can use 1 to 2 dis-solvable packs in the gallon of water.
i left a small amount in my sprayer , will it ruin the plastic sprayer ?
It would be better to get the sprayer rinsed out, the chemical is not going to be of any value when stored.

So many warnings on the packet and stuff about wearing PPE and I see all the videos of people not even wearing gloves or eye protection haha

Yes, very. I’m pretty sure cats don’t have a certain enzyme to break down cypermethrin so it stays in their bodies for a while

Carpenter ants will not infest dry wood. If you are just letting green wood dry they should not be a problem in that wood.
Just do not spray the demon on something you are going to be burning.

That is true. We originally we just using water so he never thought to use PPE. In our more recent videos we are actually using chemical and proper PPE since we got so many comments on the PPE.
We also show before and after results now for herbicides.
You should be wearing gloves and a respirator at the least: That stuff is harmful to humans too. All protective measures should be taken when dealing with Demon WP or any other pesticide with that high of a concentration (Demon WP is 60% Cypermethrin: To give some perspective, a Raid bug-bomb contains only 0.6% Cypermethrin).
A Tyvek or other protective suit and safety goggles are also good protective measures also. Don't end-up on you back with your legs crossed like the bugs.
