ISO 31000 Risk Management Framework

What is the PURPOSE of the Risk Management Framework?
For those of us entrusted with assisting organisations in safety, quality, security or environmental management, it is important that we have a working understanding of what a 'Risk Management Framework' can look like.
ISO31000:2018 provides great guidance on what should be included, and the similarities with the PDCA Model (Plan Do Check Act) are quite obvious when we know what we are looking for.
