I'm born in Canada and lived there until i was 8 years old, and live in Sweden now. Half canadian, half swedish. So yesterdays game was really fun to watch because i cheer for both of them. ;) Well, i think Canada may been more worth the win than Sweden.. but Sweden played well! Would have been awesome to see both teams in the final. I also think that Canada would have been favourites against Finland, but now i think it is 60/40 for Finlands advantage against Sweden.
Yeah i remember. So what? You played well and deserved the gold medal. Actually no one really cares about 6-1 result because we all have seen this game, and without lying you won fair. We lost, but that's not the end of the world, it is just a game, and just world championship and that is not actually a big tournament because it is played every year.. But it is really fun to follow the tournament because it is hockey after all. And good luck tomorrow in the semifinal! Let the best team win! =)
Didn't end good... And our match against USA.. FUCK. 2 weeks wasted. -.- Well atleast its good experience for our young guys and Kontiola showed he deserves a place in Olympics and future leader of Finland :)
If you look at the tournament so far. Sweden seems thin this year.. I hope Sweden win tomorrow now when Canada is out, but this will be tough for Team Sweden. If they win tomorrow, they also have the final against Switzerland and USA. And both teams are really hard to play against. Sweden vs Switzerland would be great. :)
When they got Sedins they got the offense working as well. I think Sweden was missing the offense in the first 6 games. When Sedins came, Sweden suddenly was a dangerous team!!! Yeah, but USA played well. Kontiola is a good player, but he seems to disappear in the important games.
No, Niittymaki was no question the best goalie, and i wouldn't consider a team that loses on purpose and wins the final with luck the best team, when the other team won all other matches except the final, and Finland had the best goalkeeper ANTERO NIITTYMAKI

I was a little bit angry in the beginning when Canada was beaten by Sweden, not that i don't like Sweden, but that i thought that Canada had a much better team than Sweden, but i regret it! Sweden played really good and effective hockey. Sweden was a lot better than Finland, and better than Switzerland. But without Sedins they wouldn't get far. I think Sweden was the best because they had Enroth i goal, and good defense and....
Well, we see. Sweden have the crowd on their side, and nice self-confidence after the game against Canada. Don't be to sure that Finland goes to the final.. but Finland have played better than Sweden this far in the tournament, except the last game. I think it can go either way.
look at the statistics between these teams kid..finland usually dont stand a chance. sweden is a top3 team in the world..always..the fins are MAYBE top 7-8
Olympic you made everyone hate you when you lost to slovakia on purpose, so you got switcherland against you in semifinals. Finland got supergood russia against in semi-finals, and we shutout russia 4-0. You lost in the same tournament to Russia 0-5. In finals you tied the game by shot from zero-angle, because the pass hit the defender and went in fivehole. GWG u scored with a shot from blueline with no mask.
Im not taking away the victory for you, ofcourse not. But im saying that you were damn lucky and that what you did against slovakia was so fucking lame and not in olympic spirit and spirit of hockey. But you WON anyway dont say that i dont understand it.
Are you still angry about the olympics? So you really believe that Finland is som much better than Sweden? Please explain how Sweden have won more tournaments? And don't say its luck.. Once i respected Finland as a hockey team and country.. Now when i read all this shit about Sweden i've lost the respect. Finns are just jealous... Sweden played better, and thats it.. Better luck next time! Nittymäki played well this tournament, but he could'nt stop Sweden. Sad but true. I know its hard for you.

All Finland needed was a draw. They won the group and got to the finals while Sweden got owned in Stockholm against The Chechz.
Should’ve been Finland vs Czech Republic in the final. The Czechs were robbed in the semifinals!
