Born in San Francisco, then briefly relocating to Oakland as a child before finally settling in Las Vegas, Nevada at the age of 14 - Devin “The Dream” Haney became a household name in the boxing industry at the very early age of just 21 years old.
At the age of 7 while living in Oakland, Haney picked up a special interest in boxing that would end up turning into a career that not only changed his life, but gave him the chance to truly change the lives of the people that he loves. He credits his major career wins, the blessed life he lives and everything in between to his hard work, his quick thinking and the most high that he praises.
In 2019, Devin became the youngest world champion in boxing where he attained the WBC
lightweight championship and since then has gone on to have a 30 and 0 record with a total of 15 of those 30 fights being TKOs. He also is a unified and undisputed champion, with every belt won in every weight class.

Im so glad Devin spoke on what he agreed to, in order to get a shot at the belts! How many fighters you know gonna agree to fighting on the other side of the world for only 22% AND agree to a mandatory rematch if he wins??? Only those who KNOW in the hearts they are capable of winning! People keep trying to say Devins ducking this guy or that guy, but i have yet to see him do anything of the sort!!! Devin aint afraid of losing to anyone and that inner confidence is partly why hes been so successful and remains undefeated! Shakur obv doesnt have that level of self confidence otherwise why wouldn't he say yes to Devins terms, especially knowing that if he won, he'd have no problem earning hella bank as the champ, just like Devin did! So if anyone is ducking, its Shakur!

People forget Floyd was once the Boogie Man and he put in that work for over 10 years before he started calling the shots. These new cats jump the gun and want to call the shots too early and aren't putting in the work. Devin is doing it the right way. He left some big fights on the table at 135 but I get it, he was definitely struggling to make weight and he tried to make the Shakur fight. He has some good fights to make at 140.

Not everyone needs to do interviews. While there were some cool moments in this interactions, there were so many cringe points that really made me realize how undervalued REAL interviewing skills are. This man had to ask Devin if he was a father... lol How do you not know something so surface level and google-able? He kept disagreeing with Devin on superficial stuff and regurgitated his own beliefs and standards onto Devin. Bruh... It's not about you. Lol
HE DONT HAVE ALL THE BELTS. Shakur has the WBC Championship now.
Yeah, because Shakur declined Devin's offer to fight. So Devin said fuck it and moved up to 140 to fight for another belt and got stripped of the belt at 135 (to not hold up the 135 lb. division). Then Shakur gets the belt in a lousy fight and becomes champion. Not because he earned it fighting the top dog lol. The only good thing about that situation is, that it may speed up the fight between Devin and Shakur at 135 lbs. if Devin decides he's not done holding onto all those belts. He can come back down to 135 lbs. after the fight with Regis and reclaim his belt while giving the people what they want to see!

@@purepanorama8484 reclaim .... No he doesn't get to reclaim he gets to fight Shakur for the WBC champion as the 'lineal champ' NOT as the WBC Champ. All it is first dibs if he decides to come back. Shakur IS the WBC champion and holds the belt Haney once held.
@joekrypt7074 right, Haney can come back down and reclaim the belt when he beats Shakur. Just like I stated above. Because the only good thing about Haney losing it and Shakur winning it, is that we will hopefully get a fight between those two sooner now if Devin wants the belt back. So he would reclaim what was his. The belt Shakur "earned" by not fighting the top guy for it. 👍
@@purepanorama8484 bro we won't see Haney at 135 again. If you haven't noticed but Haney's last weigh in against Lomochenko was a ceremonial weigh in and not an actual weigh in. This usually happens when a fighter may need help standing on the scales ( basically they are too drained ). Plus Haney has said that making 140 will also be a struggle to make and has previously said making 135 is tough on the body. Haney will only fight Tank or Shakur at a catch weight unfortunately as he has out grown the division. Loma and Kambosos will fight for IBF mandatory soon and at that point Haney would be stripped of that or forced to fight at 135 which he won't do so will just drop the belt. Haney's reluctance to drop all the belts is bizarre and the only reason I can think of is that he needs them to leverage his negotiations for near future fights.
