Kashmiri Sochal Wangun

  • Unique, flavorful greens dish which is traditionally made with Mallow (sochal) leaves. Since it is not readily available, I have substituted spinach and fenugreek leaves and used the same spices and cooking process to create this sochal dish.

    I keep making a drastic mistake... I always cook this is in a closed lid pressure cooker, even though rest steps are almost correct.

      @@meghascookingstudio2544 ,Please share more kashmiri recipes.Your steps are easy to relate.I mean whenever you feel like.I have tried almost all of your recipes that you you have shared so far.Any substitute for Ver masala, I don't have it as staying outside India.

      @@anupamabhat5624 it is so sweet of you to like my recipes and videos. I know it is difficult to find ver masala specially outside India. I cannot think of a substitute though. I will share the recipe for ver masala also in my upcoming videos since the one I use is home made.

    Hi, requesting you to please clarify in your video that sozchal is altogether a different green leafy vegetable..and this is just a way to tell the viewers how to make it by using spinach n fenugreek as an example. Thanks and keep up the good work.

      Hi Shivani, appreciate your suggestion. I have in the very beginning of the video shown sochal and said that since this is not readily available so we can use spinach and fenugreek to make it.
