Thanks for sharing this. I actually see my house in the background of this video. Ortley will rebuild!
For me Ortley Beach was and always will be home. My grandma had a house on 7th Ave., that was one block past Rt 35 S. I walked down that street so many times. To look at the devastation just kills me. The Surf Club in ruins. Even the '62 storm didn't take it. I just hope that Ortley comes back to what it was. I always will love Ortley and the memories of just walking that beach all the way down to the Casino Pier in Seaside and back all the way through Ortley to Lavallette.
This video says it all, better than all the rhetoric politicians have used, all the newscasts I've seen this summer. Powerful statement. Thank you.
Down visiting my mom in Chadwick Beach. So devastating. The song makes the video that much more moving.
Thank you... This was from youtube editor, its from Barry Gleddon and the song is "State of Mind"
Excellent footage! I wonder how much of the delay in cleanup is from the state or from insurance co's dragging their feet.
On a side note, what was the music you used? Very moving.
GREAT VIDEO BUT SO SAD.
I thought the delay was from Toms River.
The state has the nerve to give soooo much money to rebuild the fire damaged area while, sooo many people are still not in their homes or even received their money to rebuild!!!! I think some have their priorities in the wrong order.
I don't really like what I see, it is the only way to let you know I've seen this and feel the sorrow it brings.
I hate hurricane sandy it destroyed my beach house and changed my life forever
