What we are affinitively calling "Christianity In Five Verses" could rightfully be titled "The Gospel" or "What is Christianity?" This powerful lecture goes right to the center of what the Christian faith is, cutting through all the claptrap and fluff that so often diverts us from the core message of the Scriptures. Dr. Rosenbladt clearly and concisely lays down Gospel right from the text of the Scriptures and contrasts this message with what often masquerades as the Gospel. This is a must-listen for every Christian, but especially for pastors and teachers charged with teaching and preaching God's Word, and for those actively involved in sharing their faith with others.

Very well said - it's His righteousness that counts. Not our own self-righteousness or our improved morals. Once we get this right, the Gospel gets so much clearer and salvation becomes an assurance. Wish I had the opportunity to listen to this message a few years earlier !!
I have also been immensely blessed by one of Rod's message on Luther. And another one about the gospel to the people who are broken by the church(es) - wholly identify with it.

Thank you. I was raised in those churches that forever...every service, every gathering, every sermon...they taught me that I needed to be constantly improving, constantly striving for perfection and the list goes on and on. Coming out of years and years of that very very wrong teaching has been freeing and yet I found myself easily tripped up again and again, more often then I care to admit. Thankfully I have found a Lutheran church with a wonderful teaching pastor. It is still difficult especially when I am the only one in my entire family and all my friends who has left the, "Live your best life Now. You don't have enough faith. What would Jesus do?" teaching behind.

This is Christianity rightly taught!
Without the Law, we don't see our sin and the need for the Gospel. Without the Gospel we wallow in our sin, condemn ourselves and see no way out. Those who sin need to hear the Law and Gospel day after day and even hour after hour. The beauty of Christ's death and ressurection for us is all the more sweet when we understand our sin and original sin.
Today, there are too many Christians out there either in despair because they are taught a wrong gospel which is just a thinly disguised Law. It is full of "Do, do, do" or "application points". They claim that we need to just "love" but their love is not God's love. It's the world's love-- without any mention of the need for repentance. And so it's not the Gospel of Christ.
This is a masterful explanation of the Primary Dogma of the Christian faith... Thank you for making it so very clear & concise. After watching 'American Gospel - Christ Alone', which is very good I think, but then reflecting on the Bible verses where Jesus will say to some ( who think they are Christians), 'Depart from me, I never knew you.' This message centered me again on the Complete Work of Christ as my Living Hope, having Christ Alone as that narrow gate to enter through--- It IS All about Him. Thank you for this Well Executed Message. It needs to be heard by ALL.
Thanks for referring me to this video. I pray that there may be more and more law gospel preaching in our churches all over the world so that the precious promise in the Word and Sacrament may be handed over to needy sinners for their reconciliation with their Saviour and their God totally at the mercy and grace of God Himself alone!

The bible in 6 words... "it is finished".... and He is risen"...... the 1st three mean the Old T prophecy is fulfilled, the Law has been dealt with...its no longer about DO, its about Done!... The 2nd three means there is nothing more we can do (New T)..its been done... its by Grace alone thru faith in Jesus Christ.

If you proclaim the true and pure Gospel, as it is clearly presented in the Bible, the Pharisees will be so offended that they will accuse you of being an atheist.
