    Calling hair that is not european straight hair, carpet hair, popcorn hair, or pubic hair, is an insult to God because it was his only begotten son who had "hair like WOOL." Daniel 7:9 " THE HAIR ON HIS HEAD LIKE PURE WOOL." This scripture describes the one and only messiah's hair texture in a positive, royal way.

    • @dorathehoora4527
      @dorathehoora4527 Před měsícem +60

      I attend a Bible study and a few weeks ago we talked about Jesus's resurrection, specifically Mary Magalene's account of it.
      Mary was possessed by 7 demons and was delivered from it by Jesus Christ. Afterwards she dutifully followed him to his death, and after he was killed she went out to prepare his body for ceremonial burial. Accompanied by Peter and other women, they went to Jesus's grave where they found it empty. Mary was very upset and overwrought with grief, but she was soon comforted by 2 angels, where immediately afterwards she laid eyes on Jesus.
      It was said she did not recognize him at all. His appearance was different. Revelation 1:14, "His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire."
      It was mentioned Mary initially mistook Jesus as a gardener because of his different appearance.
      In my small group there was speculation that gardeners during that era may have normally had that wool hair type, (I'm the only black person in the group of 10 white ladies and I wear my hair out in a stretched out afro so that theory hurt a little. Growing up, I've had my hair compared to as "slave hair" because of plantation slavery. So it's ironic to me that afro/wool hair texture is still correalated with field work.) Anyways my personal theory as to why he looked different after his ordeal is because he normally kept his hair in protective styles that his followers weren't aware of.

Most alternative styles from America(like so many other things) were started and created by black folks. Alternative hairstyles are often inspired by traditional African and carribean styles. We are actually going against European beauty standards and embracing ourselves.

    Edit to comment on biracial identity struggles: As a monoracial Black woman with 4C hair who is a NERD and just "weird" in many ways, there was no hope of fitting in anywhere. I think that the hardest part of being biracial is probably that they get the message/illusion from one or both parents that if they do certain things they'll be accepted more easily by others. I think this is why the kids of Black moms in interracial relationships often fair better EMOTIONALLY than those whose Black parent is the father: misogynoir gives you MAJOR skills and insight into making peace with NEVER being able to make EVERYONE happy. I'll leave it at that before this ends up being an essay lol.

    It’s time for us to stop being offended about comments about our hair. Yes our hair looks like sheep hair, popcorn, carpet, rugs etc, but bay behhhh our hair is beautiful, lush, curly, springy, amazing and so much more. I love my cotton textured hair.

      I think it's more so the context in which it's used that makes it not okay, me saying my hair is as soft as a cloud is not insulting even if clouds just like sheep and carpet are non human.

    6:34 little does he know before she got big she rocked her natural fro plenty of times even after she got big so what is he talking about? A lot of ppl were mad she was trolling talking about her hair only for them to be doing the same shit. It’s like only we can make fun of our hair but if someone mix has the same texture and they can’t say nothing about it especially if they don’t come off like your stereotypical black person. Bye yo 😂

    Doja Has Beautiful Hair, Imagaine Referring to someones hair as a carpet while wearing lace fronts and weave 🤦🏻‍♀️ like be your authentic self or dont comment on a style you wish you could pull off, NOT "sexy" red. 🥴😵‍💫

    To that reaction guy: she showed her hair that’s a big step, she’s insecure about it. It’s not just a mixed thing, a lot of us black girls are insecure about our hair texture. Her taking a big leap from talking bad about herself to making her hair her album cover is a big thing. She didn’t ask for it and if she did that doesn’t mean she deserves it and it’s definitely not a mixed thing

    Love the hair that people can't copy. Sad that they teach you to cut your hair, so they can't see the beauty of your crown. That you can style as many crowns.

    This woman is too foul I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt by her just making money off of being controversial and rebellious and it's bad when Doja cat who openly hates her hair has to check you. I just got my hair relaxed after 7 years just to make it more manageable because I don't feel comfortable wearing wigs anymore. I grew my hair down to my shoulders I initially cut it all off because I was tired of an abuser using it as a weapon, I happened to meet a hustler stylist who maintains my hair for cheap, a Puerto Rican woman taught me how to do my edges, but I understand why Doja, one who purposely acts like a clown sometimes wants to be free of wigs hell I feel spiritually free not having to wear them anymore, and accept her own head and this is a positive thing for black women. Like I might not be rocking 4c, but it's my own crown now.
