Amazing video, I just had a query. You mentioned that an ALS isn't necessary for non-training jobs but I'm currently searching for NHS non training posts and 90 percent of them require an ALS as an essential criteria nowadays
Should we get als before applying first NHS job or after that?
How many days are sufficient to study for als course?.. cz I am getting a course after 16 days all the other courses are for next year

Hello Dr, I opted to do an E-ALS course since it is cheaper compared to ALS. But I just now found out that it is only 5 CPD points while ALS course is 10 CPD points why is that so? Is this gonna affect me while I apply for jobs?

So finally, got my Plab 2 results and have passed the exam :).
Is it necessary to do ALS before applying for the NHS jobs. I have not done it. In India UK resuscitation council courses are not available. they follow American guidelines. Is there any book you can recommend to read before going for the course?

No, you don't need ALS for non-training jobs. You can read the latest ALS manual (can be bought online/borrowed) if you want to read about the principles.
