Fun fact: the rainbow ball is called soul punisher, it basically eradicates evil beings so that means Gogeta was ready to delete broly but also see if hes kind-hearted. Gogeta was about to one shot broly twice
I remember the original Soul Punisher in Fusion Reborn. Completely annihilated Janemba and reverted the kid back to his original form.

The closest we get to official confirmation of this specific attack name comes from the games, but in this instance I'll specifically use Dokkan Battle since they always adhere very strictly to the source material when creating units. Instances of Gogeta that are from Fusion Reborn all have the attack named "Soul Punisher", while instances of the new Gogeta from DBS Broly name the attack "Stardust Breaker". Thus, the closest we can get to a real answer is that the name depends on which Gogeta you're referring to, but the term going forward for new instances of the attack will likely be Stardust Breaker.

Gogeta dropped 2 of his signature attacks on Broly with no hesitation, actual savage 💪💪
And Broly tanked them, just shows how powerful Broly is.

Once Gogeta went blue, it became so ones sided. I feel bad for Broly because all he experienced, but on the bright side, he survived and will be trained by Goku himself.
Legit, when he went blue broly did not land a single hit on him after that.

I think Gogeta smiles at 8:15 because soul punisher didn't do much to Broly. It shows that Broly isn't a bad person, just made like that. I don't know why he continues to fight Broly after that though.
He had to put him down. Punisher confirmed he wasn't evil, however he still was running amok. Notice after punisher didn't work he stopped using ki blast and just started to pummel him in his chest + weakening a ki spot. N then proceeded to throw his own ki into broly thru the chest n try to blow him up. That also didn't work so he had no choice but to try n kill him b4 he got even stronger.

He's not a bad guy but in his saipan state he's still a threat so Gogeta knew he had to beat him be4 he became unstoppable
What I absolutely love about this fight is that it goes from
“We need to stop this guy and get him to calm down” to “we cannot let him live”. In the beginning Broly is going all out, rushing, getting up close and personal, not skipping a beat and that last half was just him using long range attacks to keep a distance from Gogeta, trying to keep him away, simply trying to survive and the music TELLS YOU THIS, you can feel what broly feels, that this is going to be his end. Fantastic story telling!

Kinda brilliant story telling their, especially for Dragon Ball. Broly is the bad guy technically but you as the audience start to sympathise more with him during the fight because of his back story and how Gogeta was handing his arse to him. That moment when Gogeta unleashes the Kamehameha (the best one imo) and Broly shows fear you truly hope there is no winner or loser and that Broly survives.

This was my biggest gripe with the old movies. Theres a lead, and then the bad guy reveal, and then the bad guy power up, and then last few minutes hero power up with instant victory. This movie was so much better than all other dbz movies before it.
Movies that come to mind following the old flow. Cooler 1+2, Android 13, All of the Original Broly movies, The one movie with Gohan when he knows ssj2 but doesn't use it until the end of the movie to one shot all the bad guys(WTF was that ??) Pretty much all movies. Goku vs Power fruit guy, I guess Garlic Jr is a little different because it Gohan saving the day but I don't remember well enough to for sure tell if that one follows that flow.

I'd say that it's hard for goku and gohan to tap back into those forms in those movies, because it's right after they had just transformed into them for the first time
Master Roshi's final kamehameha wave is the best. Goku always puts more power into than he needs. If he could control it the same way, the damage would be horrific.
@@haydnFB Goku dropped the form and re-triggered it at the end of the Freeza fight, Goku could tap into ssj even after he just unlocked it. Same with Gohan, he drops it after Goku dies, then transforms again when Cell comes back.

Dragon Ball isn't usually very good at subtle storytelling, but this fight is brilliant at it. Somehow, without words, we go from jumping with excitement for Gogeta to win, to slowly seeing him as almost the villain. Broly isn't evil. He's a scared kid out of control. It kinda feels wrong to see Gogeta seeming to have so much fun pummeling this traumatized boy. It gets to the point where when Gogeta starts charging that final Kamehameha, you genuinely feel bad for Broly. You see the fear in his eyes, and you want him to escape somehow. Brilliant how they framed this fight to not just be a one-sided good vs. evil.
Broly is like 40 years old, not a kid.

When i went to see endgame the whole theater yelled and screamed when cap wielded mjolnir and when the avengers assembled, but when i saw broly in theaters, when broly turned ssj and when gogeta fused, everyone gasped at the same time 😂 had the whole theater speechless
Broly resistance is impressive gogeta went deep full blue and still he survived that atomic shot in the chest , even if did no land any shot it is umbelievable.

悟飯とトランクスが同時に魔閃光を撃つシーンは、「魔閃光がトランクスに受け継がれてる❗」と思って感動した。
