- 3 ATS Resume Mistakes to Avoid!
.
Here’s how it works: After you submit your resume through an online application, it automatically lands in the ATS. Many systems then scan your resume, “parse” or pull out information, and rearrange your resume into a digital candidate profile. From there, recruiters or hiring managers can search the ATS by keyword and get a list of resumes that best match their search.
.
So it’s important to keep this in mind whenever you submit your resume online...that it will probably meet an ATS. To avoid confusion, here are 3 mistakes to avoid:
.
1. Too much design: An ATS has trouble parsing out your information when you use design elements, graphics, photos, icons, fancy fonts, etc. Stick to simple font and regular bullet points.
.
2. Bad content: Don’t put too much or too little information on your resume, don’t just put bullet points on the page without organizing and naming the sections. Don’t try any sneaky hacks like keyword stuffing in your content either!
.
3. Lack of keywords: At ATS looks for keywords in your resume that match the job description. Make sure your keywords start at the top and are infused into all sections of your resume.
.
Bonus: use a tool like @jobscan.co before you submit your resume to ensure it’s ATS-friendly. After you submit your resume online, you can then send a PDF-designed version of your resume directly to a recruiter/hiring contact. A real person appreciates a nicely designed resume!

So what would u do? Show us how the resume should look like
Shorts are made to represent them selves only😅
Exactly!! So we can take a godamn screenshot 😂 on to next one 👋
So if you don't format your resume, it's too boring, but if you do format your resume, the ATS won't be able to read it. So wtf are we supposed to do?
:-), making it look nice itself is not bad, but when there is a lot of styling and section headers that are not standard (standard like Education, Professional Experience etc..), these may trip ATS. Most of the hiring managers still prefer referred applicants. That is the best trick to get more job interviews.
Ikr.. damned if you do damned if you dont
It's all gatekept so the distribution of wealth & favoritism leans towards them. If u have to ask this question, chances are ur a "nobody".
@@AIResumeBuilder Basically this & nepotism.
Basically use a English sounding name, when I use my name it's always rejected
But then LinkedIn will show your real name right?
If ATS can´t read columns, fancy text, colors, and end up rejecting 75% of resumes, then WHY COMPANIES KEEP USING ATS?
Budget concerns, they don't have to hire more HR staff to go though more resumes.
Amazing video. Thanks soo much
thank god i work in the architecture foeld and we dont have this mass bypass bullshit when it doesnt come to the big monster companies
Thank you!
is ATS care about month in cv? I have a gap in my cv, so can I omit month and just put only years.
incorrect, ATS are okay with columns if you know how to structure them.
Maam please share the videos on keywords optimization on resume.

Test 2 pages resume so i can have 2 paragraphs. This way, I get more keywords in @ more efficiently use chatgpt to create summary to match 80% rating.
This means less effort required having to manually update each experience.
I really need your help with this!!!!!!!!!!
Is it ok if I make the key words in bold shape, in addition to color the bullet words?

There is one God, who created Heaven and Earth. He made us in His image and likeness. He made us to worship and we chose to rebel against God. As a result we are seperated from God but God didn’t leave us. Instead God sent His one and only Son, His Son is Jesus. He was born of a virgin and lived a life without sin, though He was tempted in every way as we are. He went on the cross and He willingly took our sins past, present and future. Jesus died in my place for my sins, paying my debt to God and purchasing my salvation. Jesus died but He rose on the third day victory over satan, sin, demons and hell. Jesus tells us to share this story of the Good News and there’s a God that lovingly pursues us. Jesus is coming to judge the living and the dead and those who trust in God will forever be with Him in His Kingdom and those who do not will suffer forever in hell.
if I make a CV design like the first one but I make it using Microsoft Word, is it fine? because I know if I make it on canvas or other site, it looks pretty but it's not ATS friendly. So I guess using ms Word will make it ATS friendly even if I design it a bit?
same here. do u think 1.5 page is ok? bcz i have 4 experiences and i need to elaborate a little even in point form
@@Coconutballsack i have 6 pro experiences but it fit in 1 page only. I also put all of my 3 universities too. I changed some sentences to be short but to the point. No redundancy. Before I had 2 full pages but somehow I managed.
@@reginamarthalia7176 ahh i see i see. Btw i need some help. If i choose the simplest canva template and download it as pdf afterwards, do u think it will be ats friendly? I have the key words written just afraid that it won’t be scanned or so like the video. It is the simplest canva template but i like the design.
Is it okay if i say i have no history of employment? This is my first job ever.
No you better lie about it
Highlight other achievements you've had, like school awards, leadership roles in sports or clubs. If you've worked on any projects that are relevant to the job you're applying for, whether they were for school or just personal projects, you can list those
😂😂

Yes because how dare a woman help people. We should just shut up and not be heard.
Keep that sexism to yourself.
