- Hi All Metanimers!
Today Meta Anime is going to explain a famous anime film from Studio Ghibli which is directed by Hayao Miyazaki called The Wind Rises (風立ちぬ - Kaze Tachinu).
The Wind Rises is a fictionalized biographical film of Jiro Horikoshi (1903-1982), designer of the Mitsubishi A5M fighter aircraft and its successor, the Mitsubishi A6M Zero, used by the Empire of Japan during World War II. The film is adapted from Miyazaki's manga of the same name, which was in turn loosely based on both the 1937 novel "The Wind Has Risen" by Tatsuo Hori and "The Life of Jiro Horikoshi".

Thanks computer voice, I’m gonna go lie down and cry for a bit
This film is so emotional
The movie made me cry. And watching this video made me cry again. Man I wanted Nahoko and Jiro to live together 💔💔 But seriously, this movie is a masterpiece.
I cried a bit when the music is a bit high in volume, but I love to watch this beautiful masterpiece again many times. :)

You're not funny. If you care the slightest about aeronautics then go and read his memoir, 'the eagles of Mitsubishi'
