Last season at Brentwood, Raya has the best save, keeper is very instrumental, in keeping those clean sheet, keeping is not about making saves, but it also involved, your ability to control defense, in such a way that minimize the shot he faced.

In my opinion, Raya also climbed the ladder to get to Arsenal, from a newly promoted Brentford. He had 12 clean sheets last season with a very high save % for Brentford. Guys I totally disagree. Last season go and check David Raya save percent at Brentford. To be honest when a goalkeeper get a better defence it makes is work easy. When Onana was at Inter Milan he had good defence and make him face less shoot. So this bring me to the point that the better your defence the less the keeper face shoot.

This take is so ridiculous. Football is not only stats my brothers. Raya brings a calmness to that defence that Ramsdale never brought (and I'm a big fan of Ramsdale). Raya is the best in this league at quenching fires BEFORE they become dangerous - claiming crosses, being an extra defender, sweeper keeper and the occasional great save. It's not a coincidence that Arsenal's defence became this solid when he came, and you can't quantify that with any stats. Watch the game with your eyes, not with numbers.

Raya has the one of the best statistics in high claims, catches, throw outs and sweeper clearances this season which helps our defence not to concede. We need to be objective in some of our analysis.
Statistics, if so, golden gloves implies, sole masterclass, feats, performed by a goalkeeper, that has ensured keeping a team staying up, winning games, winning titles, tournaments...this is not the case with Raya, absence of the roles of Gabriel, Saliba, White would've made that clear. The guys are simply discussing the reasonable merits that the award should be based on.
