  • While overlanding Oregon, I made it to this beautiful abandoned ranch where I camped. Kinda creepy to be honest!

    ABOUT THIS VIDEO
    ====================
    In this video I overland the remote Oregon back country in search for the remote Juniper Hill Ranch. Normally it's behind a locked gate, but this day it was open. I made my way there up a terrible road and found a bunch of still standing buildings where I stayed the night!

    The cows either got stuck and died, or possibly a Mountain Lion den at one point. Mountain lions like to litter their area with bones. 👍🏻 Very cool spot!

    You did a great job putting this video together. Very enjoyable to watch while I'm working. I love that you stay armed as well! :)

    As someone who loves on the other side of the world, I had no idea that Oregon had this kind of terrain. I’ve always thought that it was all forested. Swap the pine trees for eucalyptus trees and it would be very similar to high country in my home state of Victoria, Australia. Very interesting.

      Most of Oregon is high desert. Google a map of Oregons desert. It’s eye opening to most people. Thank you for the comment. Cool meeting someone from Australia!

    Nice video. Haven't spent much time in Oregon, but the terrain in this video reminds me a lot of the area of Colorado where I live - namely because of all the sage.

      Thank you! Most of Oregon is pretty dry and remote. Lot's of Juniper and sage brush.

    That’s one of our favorite spots. We call it the dead cow ranch

      I saw your video when you camped there. That was my driving force to find it. Thank you! Not gonna lie, was creepy camping there alone!

      @@NorthwestBronco we rolled in after dark, so we really didn’t get to see the scope of the place until morning. We are both looking forward to going back.

    Really cool! Sad for those cows though. You think that's what they did out there... raising cattle? I really liked that stone underground "fridge" food cache whatver you want to call it

      I bumped into a local rancher on the way home who gave me some history. The story is it was a summer ranch for a couple who lived in the town below. During the summer months he would bring his cattle up there. The wife was a local school teacher and they did not have any kids. After they passed, the ranch was abandoned.
