- Hey everyone, in this video I'll be showing you a 2008 Toyota Avalon Limited V6. This is Toyota's flagship sedan. Its the closest you can get to actually owning a Lexus LS460 if your on a big budget! The vehicle in the video is in great shape with pretty decent mileage to be 14 years old. Let me know what you think about the Avalon in the comments section down below!

If it’s a 2008 then it’s 12 years old buddy. Beautiful car!
That’s a lot of miles. Mine is 2008 limited with only 80k one owner pear white
Awesome AVALON! My uncle has 2, one is about the same age as this one, the other is a 2013/14.. I have a 2013 Lexus ES350 with only 36k miles ! Flawless, garaged ... BEst car I’ve ever owned.. Lexus (Toyota) are the most reliable/dependable cars/trucks on the road today! The level of quality and craftsmanship is unparalleled... I always loved the Avalon, i was almost tempted to buy one last April 2019 when I got my ES350... The ES350 was only a few thousand more so I went for it! They both have the same 3.5L V-6 which is bulletproof!
I love my '13 Avalon. Ride is a little rough but it's beautiful. Hindsight, i should've gotten the ES350. I will next time. Or the Rx
@@8corymix8 probably still significantly better than the Camry I imagine?
@@chrisbellamy7145 I honestly don't know if i can say that. You feel every bump and its like you're riding in a tank. Lol. This is an expensive luxury car. It should ride like a Lincoln
@@8corymix8 lincoln’s are highly unreliable
Ummmm 2008 + 14 doesn’t equal 2020...
I thought I was the only one. I counted twice just to make sure 😁
- Cars are manufactured in 2007 (but they call it 2008.).
- After 13 (the same logic) the new versions of the cars were manufactured 13 years
2007+13 = 2020 for a driver in her or his MIND.
They are awesome my roommate has a 2006 Avalon Limited and loves it! Still drives like new and the V6 is strong. It basically is a Lexus with those heated and cooled seats, memory, smart key access etc. especially considering this model was released in 2005! I love driving it when I get the chance!
Beautiful car
Got the exact car and it’s tuff. 200k miles and no issues.
2008 Avalon isn't without problems, I bought mine with 95,000 knowing I was going to have to do the dreaded 100,000 service. The engine is SIDEWAYS, so to change the spark plugs---it's a $900 job because you're supposed to replace the Three ignition coils in the back---while you've got the top of the engine torn down. To change a headlight unit ( complete ) you've got to remove the front bumper, the 'third' brake light costs $300 to replace, to change the water pump is costly because the engine needs to be jacked up, etc., etc., etc. Yes, it's a nice car, but the maintenance costs are pretty hefty. I'm sure there are Worse cars, but just as well, easier cars, too. Just know Beforehand what you're going up against ( with ANY car ), I didn't find out this info until AFTER I bought the car. If you have a great mechanic---ASK HIM---before buying ANY car if he Knows of specific quirks common to specific models.
Regarding the 2008 Avalon, XLS. I have had my "Third" Brake like worked on a Toyota dealer and trusty 4 car garage shop and both entities have not been able to correct the problem. It works on a intermittent basis at best. Overall, great car and very dependable.
@@HighSpeedNoDrag In the next week or so, I'll be getting all four quick-struts replaced ( $ 1400 ) with OEM KYB's---I just hope I make the deadline of September 30th for the $ 75 Rebate for buying all four ( & hope I don't have any brake issues while they're right there staring at 'em the whole time---bill might skyrocket if they're needing anything ).
@@stephenohluk2019 Outstanding and money well spent.
I'm now thinking I should just get a 4 cyl Camry, but I love the Avalon. Are you saving much money with the Avalon compared to a Lexus ES? I see myself using the dealer as a last resort for service regardless, but I imagine at a Toyota dealer you're paying alot less?
@@chrisbellamy7145 Depending on what YEAR Camry---BEWARE---some of those 4 cyl. motors were built with the WRONG piston rings, leading to severe oil consumption. Toyota has replaced many of these problematic rings with their Own in-house repairs---BUT only after you've suffered thru the mess. Investigate ALL you can about this dilemma Before choosing specific Toyota 4 cyl. models ( google internet ), because calling Toyota was worthless to me---they would NOT tell me a specific car was targeted ( VIN code will tell ) unless I bought the model FIRST---which is completely Moronic, imo. I bought my Avalon used, so I couldn't tell you how much you'd save at the dealership buying NEW ( vs. choosing the Lexus, instead ). But a good salesman WILL undoubtedly convince you that the Lexus is the 'better buy'---& you'll be walkin' out the door with a whole lotta less green in your wallet. Upsell is the name of the game, with everything in life, not just autos.
I love this car I have the literal car an color ;)
I have 3 of these things
2006 XL 237k
2007 limited 263k
And just bought a 2006 touring with 288k
These things are bulletproof only thing ive replaced were alternators and oxygen sensors
I have a 2006 with over 300000 and still runs because they have timing chain etc. Just bought an 08 with 113000 miles !
What would be a fair price for an Avalon that has 200k miles? I'm eyeing on some of these beauties but not sure how much I should really pay for one of these
5000 Dollars, currently In the market for one
I'm sure this vehicle is sold and being enjoyed by the new owner by now. But I also own a 2008 Toyota Avalon and was curious about the make and model of the rims on this vehicle. Thanks to a Google image search, I can attest to say that the Manufacturer name is "Mach" and this is their "ME7" series rims.
Is this still available
The Avalon Limited is price of a few thousands more than the ES 350
Is this car still available
Yes
The materials in the Lexus Is better. But the Lexus have a little bit better ride. But the Avalon has more space.. Both are good cars.. But different type of comfort Between the two
Its the same car same engine tranny
Im sorry, how is avalon cheaper than a Lexus?
How is it not?
@@chrisbellamy7145 because it isn't
Sounds like a car salesman talking
