    My mother buys in bulk in season and dries and keep it for a longer time. She periodically makes pachadi (raitha), chutney (thogayal) And pickles.

    Ms. Homey, i made it just now. ive been following you for three days now. i made the sattu chilla, cinnamon tea, this pulao that was ohhhhhhhhhhhhh my my. i added more garlic and more green chillies.....cause thats how i like my food. it was so super. the grains came all separated and all. i followed it to the T. I decided this year, if i cant cook it, i cant eat it and im so glad I found you.

    Loved the recipe. I'll try it today. We generally have 1 teacup amla juice(1 amla with little water in mixi) in the morning empty stomach with a teaspoon of honey. It tastes amazing! ❤️

    In tamilnadu we make "nellikai sadam" with this amla.its a kind of variety rice.same procedure as raw mango rice which we call as mangai sadam.ppl can't identify the taste. just grate the amlas and make tadka using custard seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies, channa dal, hing, curry leaves and some roasted ground nuts once it's roasted add grated amlas to this and add turmeric powder and salt to it. Just saute for 3mins and add cooked rice to it and stir very well. very simple and healthy. Nobody ll find out the amla taste since we add turmeric powder to it. Ppl ll this it's lemon rice and eat..

    Lovely. Will try it out. I make Amla rasam quite often. Take the juice of 3Amla's and make rasam as usual.instead of tamarind I use half a lemon at the end.

    Nice receipe. I've tried and really liked it. 👍 For a suggestion I would add some extra quantity of spices. Becaz that sour taste of amla will dumped the whole taste of spices also smell none . For the 2nd time of my try , I just added more quantity of spices . i.e if it is 1 spoon of coriander seeds, then take 1.5 .
    Anyway it's a good receipe. Must try 😋

    Hi, i love the way you chop the veggies on your index finger( i could watch it for whole day though)...will amla reduce its vitamins on cooking??

      Vitamin C present in fruits or vegetables gets destroyed on heating, even by 1 degree. It is heat unstable. That is why we should eat at least one raw fruit per day to get vitamin C

    I have a Love Hate relationship with your videos... I Absolutely Love, Love, Love your demonstration of All your food preparation , everything!!!! The HATE part is that its Torturous when I watch them. My mouth starts to salivate, my stomach starts this Horrible Angry Growling Rumblings sound... All these symptoms are nothing but torturous Pain for me... Im always left Hungry for what ever you are making... (Joking of course) i can only imagine the Beautiful aroma when your cooking...     I would have used Ghee with all those nice spices. We do not get Amla in the US, but will try this recipe without it.

    I use amla for rasam instead of tamarind. Also make amla rice, but not pulao , ( like mango rice)
