Where at the back of the 300TDi engine is the crankshaft locking pin used? I've searched web over
and no one has bothered to mention it. It is assumed everyone is fully knowledgeable about the engine. Please help

Hi. I use a metric fine bolt ground to a flat ended point about 40 degrees included angle on the end I think it’s around M14 into the hole directly at the bottom of the flywheel housing. It’s not a hole in the flywheel it’s a slot and it lines up at the timing point when the other marks are in position so you can carefully thread it in by hand whilst moving the crank back and forth slightly so you feel it engage correctly

Would have been useful to have the kit reference number for ease of ordering. Good video. Nigel.

On the idlers you state 45nm fo one on the inside of belt now what about the one to the right of it what is the fixing how tight should that be ???? And why are you undoing the injection pulley just confused and need to do mine this week help needed

He undid the bolts on the injection pulley so that after the new tensioner and idler pulley are installed and the new belt goes on there is no chance that the injector pulley will move, which would put out the timing. This way, all the teeth on all the pulley's line up. Hope this helps. :)

Great informative video, but not quite thorough enough.
Unfortunately the filming is cut/stopped or edited at several vital moments.
This is a shame, as 2 or 3 minutes more & showing several points that are skipped over would have me confident to do a full service cam belt kit. I'll be doing more thorough research before i go ahead.
Still a great informative video. I learned a few things.
