- The Jabra Elite 7 Active are truly wireless earbuds built for sport and the natural successor to The Run Testers fave, the Jabra Elite Active 75T.
Priced at £169.99/$179.99, the Elite 7 Active offers a sweat and water resistant design, active noise cancellation, hands-free access to smart assistants, up to 10 hours battery life (without ANC) and a smaller profile than the 75T.
Testers Kieran, Mike and Nick have all been putting the Elite 7 Active through its paces to find out if these are the best truly wireless earbuds for running.

I got these earbuds and I am very happy with them. I see difference with ANC on. Don't expect miracles but in my case it has difference. Sound quality quite good as well. Using them every day the last 2 months
Thank you, just bought myself a pair at $110 CAD!!! Black Friday deals and employee discounts rock! :)
Top review. Covered all my key questions 😃👍
Glad it was helpful. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic Review Gents!
Great review! 👏🏽
You guys really know how to review running shoes AND earbuds, thank you very much.
Thanks Henrique. Glad it's useful.
Best review on the subject, insta sub.
I bought these as I go running and workout at the gym and my galaxy 2 buds would fall out as soon as I start sweating. I love these for my workouts and running and they have never fallen out of my ears. The hear through mode is great while I'm running outside. I honestly don't hear a difference with ANC at all, but the noise isolation when noise cancelling is off is sufficient for me. I also love that you can connect with two devices at once, so when I'm at home I can use my laptop and have it still connected to my phone.
The only negative that I have with these earphones is the connectivity. I live in Korea and when going underground on the subway during peak hour it constantly disconnects and wont find my device unless I have my phone next to my face. I never had issues with galaxy buds. But i never have problems out on my runs or when I'm on the bus. Just when I'm deep underground surrounded by many other bluetooth devices and interruptions. So if you don't have this then it shouldn't be a problem for most. Either way, I love my earphones and its a great choice for active people or people that have trouble with earbuds that stay in the ears.
Thank you for the rewiev. I bought Jabra Elite 7 Active but unfortunatly my experience was not good with sound quality. I tried many thing like software update and adjusting the voice from the Jabra App but it never works for me. I change to the JBL REFLECT FLOW PRO. It is almost the same price and the voice quality is much better. Jabra Elite 7 fit good and is very nice to have it on but they relay need to work on the sound quality.
Strong review!
1) Can each bud be sound pinged (if misplaced) via phone app, even if outside their case?
2) Confirming- volume can be controlled via buds?
3) How do you compare these to Jaybird Vista 2?
I really like the fit of the jaybirds and have used my vistas to the ground but the reliability of the stuff they make is seriously questionable. You're basically left to your luck with what you get and it's a common story that a month or 2 in your earbuds will just stop working.. what do you guys say about this?
i feel like for workout earbuds if you want wings right now the best is the Beats Fit Pro, if you don't need wings, then Jabra 7 Elite Active is the best. I would love to be able to recommend the JBL Reflect Flow Pro, but they switched to Touchscreen controls on their latest model, which is a no-no for me. I will always buy earbuds with physical buttons.
Don’t get the beats fit pro. The wings/ear hook is not durable and the left side of mine starts to tear away. It is not covered under warranty.
Tried all kinds of buds for the gym, for the average easy everyday exercise person they might work. However if you'r powerliftning seriously nothing stays put except plugfone-buds.
They haven't thought about everything with their case etc but when it comes to secure fit, nothing beats them and having these buds pop out during a heavy benchpress or something is the worst.
I use the regular cord version when riding my dirtbike and they've not come out once and I've had some fast crashes with them in.
Just a good tip if you'r like me and can't find anything that works for really active stuff. I have separate buds for the gym and for everyday stuff.
You said you have paired them with a Garmin device. Which one? Because I can’t pair with my Fenix 6 Sapphire. I can pair other earphones quite easily
Just seen that the Beats Fit Pro aren't being officially realised in the UK until early next year... gutted.. especially when we're expecting AirPods Pro 2 😭😍 Torn!
Imagine buying Beats 🤡
@@turbomunch LOL, true. But if they stay in my tiny little ears... beggars can't be choosers
Got these after applying vouchers for 45USD can't wait to use them for gym.
Are they solid?
why i can't control music track using jabra elite 7 active earbuds?
Great video, hanks for the review! One question - would you think these would stay secure while sprinting or doing CrossFit kinds of exercising with jumping and whatnot?
Unfortunately I can't try them before I buy them as I'd be getting them shipped overseas so I'm just trying to make sure they check all my boxes before ordering. I have never used wireless earbuds but whenever I have used wired earbuds in the past I've had no problem getting a secure fit.
Out of curiosity, did you buy them and if so, did they stay put when training?
Which one should I choose if doing heavy exercise…? I really feel confused between elite 7 active and active elite 75t
Active
How are the buttons? Do you have to push hard?
It was my first time using earbuds. I bought the Jabra Elite 7 Active and what I realized was that because it seals my ear, I start hearing everything im my body like the vibrations of the footsteps when running. Although it has a good sound and everthing, that pump of every step in my head is very unconfortable. Is that normal with everyone? Any thoughts about that?
Turn on hear through
In time you get used to it.
How many device it has connected at the same time by bluetooth?
Can 2 person sharing one bud each to listening music together?
yes, provided they are close enough together.
Bought these through amazon, liked them at first but after a day connection issues started happening. Reseting worked at first but now the left earbud does not connect and isnt detected by case or software. Definitely was not worth the price for me.
I sent back a pair of my Jabras under warranty and I received a new pair with no issue
Same with me
Kieran is owning European Dance Music term
Trademarked it. Stay tuned for European Dance Music Fest 2022 and Now That's What I Call European Dance Music 1.
I don’t see any difference with the ANC when I on it. Anyone else has this?
Hi (Kieran here), when music is playing I find very little difference with the ANC on almost all true wireless buds. More of a difference when I'm working in cafe or something though.
@@TheRunTesters Jabra elite 7 is honestly non existence . It’s so disappointing
I too get the feeling that one of the earbuds may be loose.
I bought some of these 3 weeks ago , had nothing but trouble, I loove them , awesome wicked sound, but.. on several occasions sound would just cut to one earbud,at low volume... I would have to reboot them, uninstall the app , then start again, the 4 th time I did this the app is no longer in the app store!!?? Has anyone else had trouble with them??,. I'm devo, and frustrated
Mine works fi e with moderate to heavy outdoor uses. You might have a defective one
@@chandlerreyes53 I found the prob,was my outdated phone 🙄
Are airpod pros or jabra elite 7 active better?
What did you get?
@@thwraceingpanda47 Airpod pros. happy I did as they're a lot more comfortable and ave less ear presure.
These are on sale for 108$
Odd question. But would these be good to sleep in? My wife snores and I’m looking for headphones that’ll be able to sleep in
I use the 75t to listen to white noise and they’re brilliant!
@@DogmannUK thanks! Will check them out then. It was these or maybe the Beats version. Quite expensive though :(
Bose sport earbuds
Besides the strange accents this was an awesome review, especially having three different folks talking through their pluses and minuses. Trying to find a replacement for my Echo Buds 1st gen that had awesome ANC and the sound was pretty good but I wouldn't run in them. I love the rubberized grip on the Jabra for my fat fingers to handle.
Thanks again for posting 👍🇺🇲
Pairing issues the main problem with these buds
That's interesting as we didn't have pairing issues. Was that with a phone?
I wonder why the Amazon reviews for these are so bad?
The earbuds have a high pitch ringing noise in one of them. It gets extremely annoying and I wasted $180 on these buds. It tells me I have a firmware update, I follow the instructions but nothing happens. I used my computer and directly connected it, then it told me that I was up to date. Not sure if I should return it or wait and see if there's a solution.
Because it's bad actually, i have a pair of it, u will need to update the firmware frequently or u cant use it, and it always disconnected with my cell phone after few minutes not using it but i adjusted it to shut down after 30mins unused, and it cant control music track using the earbuds like how they advertised it and written in the user manual, i feel like im cheated, this earbuds are not cheap though, freaking bad experience with this earbuds
Don’t understand why they don’t use metal hinge
They fall out need a wing
Definitely going to be some runners who would wish these had wings for sure.
Worn them for five minutes and i agree

You repeat yourself a lot. If you did not say the same thing three times in a row your review would be 2/3 shorter, which would be great
