Full Drone Circle Above The Plate Boundaries on the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland

- This simple tour was filmed above the Bláfjoll mountains near Reykjavik where the snow cover makes the landscape features really pop out. This is therefore a good way to see the plate boundaries from the thickest landmass on the peninsula, and how the lava has formed the landscape. Shortly after the video starts we can see she well former shield volcano Skjaldbreiður with the volcano Hengill in the foreground, and 180 degrees later we see the volcano ridge fade out by the south coast gf the peninsula. I left a link for the location is you want to do your own tour from Google Maps, but I will do my own guided tour with this footage when in my upcoming series about the volcanoes by the city. So this is more of a "sit down and enjoy the view version " and I know you understand why :) Enjoy

Beautiful views of the eastern part of the Reykjanes Peninsula. I watched it before reading the description so I was trying to figure out where it was filmed from. Only at the end of the clip was Reykjavik finally revealed. Clever editing to start just east of the city to keep it for last.
i enjoyed how a crazy snow storm entered this region last week, you could just follow it on webcams getting all white and the visibility was sometimes almost none. Such a Magical nation..

What a gorgeous and fascinating 360 view - thank you! I see the ski lifts and runs. Starting at about 1:33 (in front of the circular crater) and continuing on around the side of it it, I see trails snaking around that don't look like roads, but look manmade. What am I seeing there?
Main crater in Iceland went nuts today: it overflowed with a nice lava fall, then blew its base out in at least 4 places, letting out all of its lava lake in 2 directions on its backside, losing the lava fall. I think the cone is done for soon.
Yes it's powering up again, but it might no be a problem though
