This prep is the older ones. The new prep such as the Suprep is a two part prep and the you mix it right before you drink alone with water follow up.

I've had two colonoscopies and the whole procedure was much better than I thought it'd be! I was DREADING it like I can't tell you, but don't put it off, it's really not bad and could save your life. I do understand, however, everyone has a different reaction.

Using a straw to drink the prep mix makes absolutely no difference. If just makes drinking the liquid take a lot long period of time.

Every other video I have seen on this still says that coffee is OK. So I don’t think this one is totally accurate.

I had a routine colonoscopy 3 years ago. The prep and test were not bad. What was bad afterwards was the severe damage that was done to my digestive system. I was sick for weeks with severe constipation and couldn't go for over a month. I never had digestive problems before the colonoscopy and have constant problems now. I am often sick with this. What do the doctors say, tough shit. No one warmed me about this. Had I known I would never have had the test. I was low risk and did not even need it. I will suffer the rest of my life because of this horrible test. A friend of mine had a test for kidney or bladder stones. After it she ended up incontinent and has to wear Depends. She is madder than hell and very bitter. Sometimes the risk of the test is not worth it. I think I would rather have had cancer than the damage the test did to me. As God is my witness Iwill never have another invasive test as long as I live.

@@fielalabahia1629 Sorry to hear this about you and Annete. The doctors don't tell us everything so I did a lot of research and watched videos on youtube. I am now preparing for my colonoscopy. I am 71 and this will be the third one. Probiotics are very important. I take them every day and have increased the amount daily in prep. for the procedure. It's important too to take many daily probiotics right after the procedure and to continue for awhile and then take them on a daily basis. We lose the good bacteria from the prep we have to drink, and from the procedure itself. Here is an article that I found helpful.

You don't have to buy Their product. Choose your own Probiotic. Gradually improve on you diet with high fiber foods and be sure to drink 8 glasses of purified water daily. In addition you may have food allergies and can be tested for that, or something unrelated to the colonoscopy may be occurring. It would be helpful to have a follow-up with your MD. I hope my info. is helpful, and I wish you both improved health.

The preps are BEYOND awful! All of these videos lie!! I was vomiting and sick taking the awful preps. Then I felt like I kept having to go the entire way to the hospital. I have IBS and reflux, this test makes it beyond worse!!!!
