Hi there!! Quick question do late call always end around 8:30 or do you ever do 24 hour calls?

Hi! It can vary a lot. Sometimes I work much later than that and am off post call the next day. When I started off as an attending I did 24 hour shifts but after my 3rd child was born, I reconfigured my schedule to limit my calls to lates only so that I could be home at night. There are so many different ways to do it! Thanks for watching!

    Hello from Greece!
I want to ask you, what is your opinion on BIS monitors? Do you personally want to use them, or stick to more proven tools? :)
    thanks for your time!

Hi! I personally use the BIS monitor frequently..I used it yesterday! I consider it another piece of information, and use it to form my overall assessment of depth. Thanks for watching!

My goal one day is to be an anesthesiologist. I’m currently a junior in high school and am doing very well in my classes. I have one question for you. What did you major in while you were an undergraduate?
