- We have had the Havaseas, our Nordhavn 55, for just over a year and a half. We explored Canada over the winter and spring. We are now headed back up to Alaska. We continue our journey with our friends on the Coastal Raven (N40) thru Venn Passage and into Inner Foggy Bay. These are our adventures, how we live and where we go.

Do something that scares you everyday? As long as you can remember which day it is! 🤣 Poor Eric with you doing the double take. Wow - that was May? Good timing, everything down south here now is so smokie that you can't really enjoy things as much with the drought.
Another great Video, makes me want to cruise up to Prince Rupert, I can only imagine the fishing. Eric is starting to look like he's ready to go "A Viking" with his hair, nothing to better to keep the ears warm. It reminds me of mine 30 years ago, now it's all Walter White. Hopefully i can have the time in 4 odd years when i retire to relax like that again.

We get lots of good comments... but your comment had both of us cracking up for a while! Eric was in a full on laugh! I do get Eric going sometimes with me questioning the situation. It was May! I am trying to catch up on our summer videos now that we aren't moving around so much. It is fun to look back and remember the different anchorages. Each new day is interesting when you live on a boat!

Forgetting the day isn't the preserve of the retired. I do that quite regularly and I'm nowhere near retirement 🙂 Nice update but was a bit surprised while browsing Nordhavns to see the advert on Yacht Tech today for Havaseas.
Wow! You saw the listing before we noticed it. We are not done with cruising on Nordhavns.... we are just thinking a different direction.... We will see what happens. We still love our vessel!

I don't worry too much when I don't know that actual date... not knowing the day of the week is what surprises me. Not knowing the month is even odder! Canada's weather was so nice last winter, it was really confusing! You will be retired soon! Not quite sure of our plans after December. Actually, I am learning even though we have plans through December, they might change. I am learning to live in the moment!

Thanks! We have been using TimeZero since we bought the boat. I really like the program and it was easy to figure out. It is part of our navigation system in the pilot house and I also have it on my iPad for easy planning. I keep all my notes on the program.

We still have videos from this summer and we plan to continue cruising on a Nordhavn…. just a little different direction. Who knows… maybe we can even share the process of switching boats. It was a hard decision and we will see how it turns out…. Life is an adventure!

We found a N50. We really like the size and layout. We are finishing up the Alaska videos and then will try to document this process of buying the new boat.

Your husband should show more affection for the effort you put forth. I admire his skill and seamanship but he should also be cognizant of your efforts for making his passages less demanging. I recall one of his comments being "another utopia," which would not have happened without your companionship.
