- We planned to winter in Wrangell, Alaska. Plans changed! It is cold and Eric wants to go south for the winter. The Inside Passage is a challenge in winter, but we are going to try it! This is our first leg from Wrangell, Alaska to Ketchikan, Alaska with a stop over in Meyers Chuck. These are our adventures in Alaska on our Nordhavn. How we live and where we go.... and sharing information on our anchorages.

Brings back memories of my father sitting glued to the weather forecast!
I will always have memories of the weather forecast over the radio. Very homey for me. We came back from a winter south and hearing the Alaska forecast was part of feeling like we came home.
Agreed, there are certain spots that are ingrained in my memory forever@@havaseas
Thanks for sharing your travels. It’s great to see the two of you working together effectively as a crew. Good communication is so important!
Thank you! We are getting better as we go along!
Miss Kimberly ,, I very much enjoy the narration of your voyages ,, this one looks cold tho ,you and Eric & distan are on a voyage of a lifetime,,, love your vids ,, safe passage my fellow seafares
Thank you so much! Yes, this was a very cold trip. A little scary too.
I love Southeastern Alaska it's one of my favorite places but boy when winter comes it really comes there and it gets cold but in summer it's just incredible place
It does get cold, but if you dress for it you are ok. Eric wasn't into dealing with the boat in the cold.
Wonderful episodes you have a marvelous way of letting me know what life is on the ship. And these are the episodes I like.
Thank you so much!
Enjoyed the content. Gnarly weather…my Florida blood could not stand that.
Thank you. I am struggling with the Florida heat! Even in winter! I bet I will get used to it.
I remember following your progress on this trip. I think I worried about you as much as you did!
We sure appreciated everyone looking out for us!
Thanks for an awesome time ! We love the inside passage !!
Us too! Thank you for watching!
Glad your heading South. Hope all is safe on your passage.
Thanks!
Did you have to toss that basil plant before you crossed into Canada? (We will be following you footsteps in the PNW next year.)
The basil was fresh and being stored in water to keep it fresh. There was no dirt. Canadian customs requirements change often. Make sure you go on their site to check what you can bring in. We always make sure that we declare everything. We live on the boat so it can be a long list. This trip was similar to our passage during COVID. We were going to have to be self sufficient for a month or more without getting additional provisions in Canada. Customs seems to be kind to us when we are not going to be going ashore during the trip. I have not travelled with actual plants in dirt but I have seen boats in SE that came up through Canada with gardens onboard.
I hope you have a wonderful trip!!!
I know you have a new boat. Anything you want to tell us about?
We will be sharing soon! I will let you know that we bought a N50. Love it!
