- The ABB FIA Formula E World Championship returned to Rome for the first European race of the season. With Mercedes EQ driver Stoffel Vandoorne starting on pole, could the Belgian driver win his second Formula E race? With a chasing pack including Andre Lotterer, Oliver Rowland and Jean-Eric Vergne, it wouldn't be an easy task.

Man Vandoorne was unlucky, g hit out of the lead, fought his way back, and then got caught out by a goddamn manhole cover
Really unlucky for Di Grassi as well, looked like he could win that race

When vandoorne got hit out of the lead thought that deserved a penalty but no, this is why f1 could never really race on street circuits

Gosh Vandoorne has zero luck. On the receiving end of a Lotterer divebomb and a bump in the road costing him a very likely podium, if not a win...
it was his own fault if he didnt make a mistake then Nyck wouldnt hit him Nyck couldnt do anything Vandoorne just slipped and Nyck tried to go for the wall but Vandoorne stayed that position it was Vandoorne his fault im mad at him because nyck must have win some points!!!!
Did you watch what happened? He had to avoid degrassi on a part of the track that's barely wide enough for two cars and hit a raised manhole cover sending him into the air. He didn't make a mistake the guy wielding the cover down made the mistake, the car isn't a bloody aeroplane that he can turn midair tyres needs to be on the ground to work

Rene Rast going unnoticed going from 20th to 6th, massive effort, helped by crashes yes but still a great effort! He has consistency, would be a good signing next year for many teams as Audi are leaving!

Such a shame the race ended like that. It was getting better and better as we went along. The Mercedes pair got so unlucky, and so did Lucas.

I think in the future Formula E will do every race a double header.
Would be awesome if they basically adapt F2's last year format with two races per weekend... Or even this year's one with three races but this might be too much haha

Better find a way to fix that manhole cover problem for next race. It's very dangerous.
That's not an easy fix, it's kinda street racing, it might be fixable but not overnight!
Not overnight? I mean worst case scenario they have to get a new manhole cover to wield down. If they can't do that they can't exactly face with a hole in the middle of the track

Finally, it only took about 5 seasons but Jaguar have another driver that can score podiums aside from Evans

I always look at Vergne on each race, even if he ends up in the back he usually makes some positions up. Seeing him in front is super.

consistency is key, vergne didnt do anything crazy and got the win, the others were all over the place including digrassi who ran into the back of a few people a few times

evans and bird just kept together and charged throgt the field together superb team work

i was 50 mt away from the circuit this morning.so cool how they sound and as they past near my work, and they are fast..speaking of man hole, here in rome every man hole is in the middle of every road.
this is the purist form of racing wheel to wheel where the driver makes the difference, and it's about 1449 % more exciting than F1

I was so disappointed when the Mercedes brought out the safety car.
Bird was in second and had an unused fan boost, he could have nabbed a victory
I can remember a time when these races could be seen. Used to be a cool sport to follow.I find it odd how quickly they have given up on it.
Lotterer was a bit optimistic there.
This is why we watch formula e! DiGrassi never got a penalty for his close racing, and hence we got some intense action!

@@killerkoyd The 2019 Paris ePrix started under a safety car because there was a wet and dry side on the start and they felt it was an unfair advantage for those starting on the dry side. I think it was done to make it fair.

The track is so narrow, who's brilliant idea was that....
Great race, a lot of overtakes, a lot of drama, a real shame for the ending tho. Another one with a safety car, kinda sucks actually. But overall i had great time watching it, looking foward for tomoroow race.
P. S. Di Grassi deserved the win here, what a fantastic overtake there!
