becausen he's been one of our best players over the last decade, absolutely class in big tournaments so we took the risk.
They’re still ‘learning’ and they’re at a major tournament. How are these players so exhausted? Many players have played as much football as ours and don’t look as knackered.

2) takes an injured left back wasting a space
3) plays foden out of a position he has dominated all season
4) trent out of position
5) kane too deep ppaying bloody left back
6) rice is better coming forward than sweeping why not partner him with wharton?

I was quite impressed with Southgate over the years but the fact that Kane basically came out and said it was a tactical decision to park the bus at 1-0 is an absolute fkin Joke. He's got to go. Its unbelievable England cannot produce a decent left footed left back. Southgate should have at least tried the last few years other left backs like Mitchell or Burns or even tell Saka to sacrifice a little to play LB. He had so much time to test out. Tripper cannot play LB. Cuts in everytime he gets the ball and passes back. Rarely goes forward and you can tell other players don't particular want to pass to him during games in the Euros knowing he is not effective.
Having only one left footed left back who has not even played a minute of football since February might be the most idiotic selection decision I have ever seen at a major tournament.
It hasn’t worked with Trent because he all of a sudden decided to play him as a double pivot in the first game instead of a right sided 8 like they had played in the friendlies.
