I've started learning Korean and I'm even more impressed by JK's English now. That second syllable of tangled is a sound that doesn't really exist in Korean. He works so hard on his diction. 💜 Love you guys!
Oh! The "opera" section is a technique to darken his voice. If you listen to the takes before and after (and the album track) you can hear the difference. His earlier takes are brighter. All the time he spends on individual vowels and consonants is pure technique too - he figures out how to attack every single syllable. It's really neat to get to see it.

Y'all asked "What's that thing he does with his voice?" When it was light but also hard at the same time and I'm here to answer this since I'm a singer/musician. JK is a *MASTER* of mixed falsetto aka head voice and chest voice. It's a function of his amazing vocal control which is why most people, even if they don't understand the "how" and "why" can still recognize his amazing range, and versatility. In vocal training, it takes years to develop your upper register with chest voice projection. For instance, many men may have that nice upper range but untrained, they usually end up only having a good command of the head voice or falsetto tonality (the "soft" airy tone). JK's vocal mastery is so inspiring, tbh. The hours, days, weeks, months, YEARS, this man must have trained in order to be able to project chest voice thru his upper range is just astonishing, at times. It's so cool that you guys recognize this and make a point to emphasize the incredible talent JK has bc of it. Yes!!! His chest, and even head, voices are amazing! I'm a contralto female voice and I got to work hard to sing falsetto. Some notes actually are painful to reach for.
He said he just sang and sang all day and everywhere when he realised that he had to develop his vocal acuity and just having lessons wasn't going to cut it.
JK's world is a tough one! He's always working!! He's so young and accomplished so much! Good thing he has such a strong support system! 6 team brothers!

Operatic voice teacher here!!! 1. I loved when he went into opera voice that was hilarious. 2. Blaze is correct about singing from your stomach! Not quite your stomach but your diaphragm which is right under your rib cage. JK has a really good natural technique which is rare. He’s definitely a special guy!

11:30 What you guys are talking about is 100% right! The ‘stomach’, as Blaze called it, is the diaphragm, and that’s where the breathe can be controlled. JK also has great projection, like you mentioned, and very open vowels (at least to my ear). Makes it a really pleasant and crisp voice to listen to. JK is good at what I call "push"... a singer "pushes" the diaphragm to get that note. And I love his runs, attack, and articulation. I amature sing and when I grow up, I want to be JK.

I was in choir for most of my life. I stopped for a year after I dropped out of my old highschool due to me being really sick and depression. Once my family moved to Texas, I struggled to find a school that would take my credits. I had to live with my cousin, my aunt, and my uncle to finish up highschool. I joined their church choir and was in the choir for a year and a half. Although, COVID made it impossible for us to meet. Now I'm back home with my parents and trying to find a college to go to. As much as I love to sing, I don't want to make it a career. The entertainment industry is really hard to get into and I've seen what fame and fortune does to people, which makes me appreciate BTS's level headedness. So, I'm keeping singing as a hobby and skill that I'll hold onto. I need to get back in a choir, or take vocal lessons because I want to keep my soprano voice. BTS has inspired me to work on my singing voice, but actually doing that requires motivation, which is something I don't have at the moment. I want to make JK my role model when I do start working on my voice. For high notes, Jin and Jimin are my role models because they can get up there. I want to be able to sing well. I love the fact that they don't mess around with his voice to much on the track, so they can easily move from studio to stage, sometimes tracks produced for radio seem to lose the artist and they sound not as good live but has never been the case for JK, I like the song but not the video, I would love to see both Charlie and JK on stage together again.
Omg i Love this. So Adorable with the "Tangled" pronunciation!. That JK is Unbelievably awesome. I posted a video of my cat who seems to be obsessed with that song. And "For Youth" I dont know why, maybe because i sing it to her, not sure but she's never done these things before. Actually trying to turn the cd player on😳🤭 Then on my laptop on kitchen table, i was playing it and she got up there lying her face on the laptop. Its crazy!! I feel all of the vocal line members are incredible...I'm sure someone already mentioned this in the comments but what yall were talking about with what Jungkook does with his voice and his breath...it's the seamless switch up between chest voice, head voice, falsetto and full voice vs breathy airy voice...most trained singers can do all of those but not all can switch it up within one song or verse very easily. There is a reason why the members will call Jungkook their main vocal...all of the guys have great voices though! One thing I'll point out is the fact that JK was there for the taping/producing, choreo help, and 'behind the scenes' for 'That That' w/SUGA and PSY. If you'll look closely, JK was there in person to help out. He was wearing a yellow puffy/parka jacket. He had the hood over his head and also wore a cap over it as well. And, he wore a white face mask as well. And, they hardly showed him on the set, so as not to take the attention away on PSY and SUGA. 😊😎 JK was very professional and kept a very low-profile on being there to have a hand on things, giving pointers to SUGA and PSY on certain dance moves, etc. He was really good in that. ❤😊👍 And that's the professionalism JK and the rest of BTS brings to the table with everything they do. 😎

I have so much respect for our boys whenever they sing or speak in another language because I know it isn't easy. It makes me want to learn Korean all the more. It's fun to see that JK does what I do. Whenever I'm doing something that frustrates me I goof around a bit then come back to it. He couldn't get the pronunciation of the word "tangled" so he broke out in the "That, That" dance then went back to singing and nailed the verse. I love watching him work. The d d day part had me flustered, I never attempted to sing that part because I find it intimidating. Our boys always step up to challenges, which is what I love about them. JUNGKOOK has talent and a vocal technique to praise and envy what he does with his voice, it is not easy, it takes study and preparation. People who don't understand the subject miss it when they praise the different register types, tones and the high notes of the other members. But what he knows how to do with his voice and the absolute control he has and the ability to assimilate and mix his voice perfectly with another vocalist is the reason why he is the Main Vocalist of the group since his short 15 years when he debuted. I love the fact that they don't mess around with his voice to much on the track, so they can easily move from studio to stage, sometimes tracks produced for radio seem to lose the artist and they sound not as good live but has never been the case for JK, I like the song but not the video, I would love to see both Charlie and JK on stage together again.
Omg i Love this. So Adorable with the "Tangled" pronunciation!. That JK is Unbelievably awesome. I posted a video of my cat who seems to be obsessed with that song. And "For Youth" I dont know why, maybe because i sing it to her, not sure but she's never done these things before. Actually trying to turn the cd player on😳🤭 Then on my laptop on kitchen table, i was playing it and she got up there lying her face on the laptop. Its crazy!! She's 12 years old and Never has she been affected by something like that. So i posted the video then thinking it was silly, deleted it. Next thing i know this guy texted me saying what happened to the cat video because JUNGKOOK did a practice with the song singing i can Feefee then looked right in the camera and said "FEE" OMG!! I was shocked, i posted on his video Thank you JK for doing this for a CAT!! I was in complete shock. In the video I'm saying you love this song feefee, and i say FEE, you love Jungkook, Never has she gone right up in front of stereo actually trying to turn the dial. I gotta repost it! Awe I love that yall reacted to this! Also, it's great to see all three of you together, it just makes for a different vibe...in a good way! Jungkook is such am amazing vocalist! I feel all of the vocal line members are incredible...I'm sure someone already mentioned this in the comments but what yall were talking about with what Jungkook does with his voice and his breath...it's the seamless switch up between chest voice, head voice, falsetto and full voice vs breathy airy voice...most trained singers can do all of those but not all can switch it up within one song or verse very easily. There is a reason why the members will call Jungkook their main vocal...all of the guys have great voices though! I agree with Blaze, it's so amazing to see how humble Jungkook was being, I feel even now, all of the guys are truly humble...unless they just wanting to brag to one another lol oh and Jungkook doing the choreo for "That That"...just goes to show that the guys all always support one another's works. One thing I'll point out is the fact that JK was there for the taping/producing, choreo help, and 'behind the scenes' for 'That That' w/SUGA and PSY. If you'll look closely, JK was there in person to help out. He was wearing a yellow puffy/parka jacket. He had the hood over his head and also wore a cap over it as well. And, he wore a white face mask as well. And, they hardly showed him on the set, so as not to take the attention away on PSY and SUGA. 😊😎 JK was very professional and kept a very low-profile on being there to have a hand on things, giving pointers to SUGA and PSY on certain dance moves, etc. He was really good in that. ❤😊👍 And that's the professionalism JK and the rest of BTS brings to the table with everything they do. 😎
Where'd u get that info from. As much as I love JK , this was only a Suga project with Psy. The song had their own choreographer so why would JK be there. Unless Big Hit/Hybe release any proof, not believing you.

I don’t think they realize that , these artists that come out of the woodwork wanting a collab with any BTS member, they should be considered the lucky ones. They know that any song BTS, or any solo member are featured in, will go straight to #1 on the charts. I don’t think BTS realizes that. Well, maybe Yoongi realizes it, and probably Joonie too. Do they know how talented they are, and how the whole world is starting to see them ? Well, after being an ARMY for a long time now, I can honestly say that I’m so proud of all of them for what they have accomplished, and what’s to come. Thank you BTS, and thank you 3 for this video 💜

My exact thoughts
I have so much respect for our boys whenever they sing or speak in another language because I know it isn't easy. It makes me want to learn Korean all the more. It's fun to see that JK does what I do. Whenever I'm doing something that frustrates me I goof around a bit then come back to it. He couldn't get the pronunciation of the word "tangled" so he broke out in the "That, That" dance then went back to singing and nailed the verse. I love watching him work. The d d day part had me flustered, I never attempted to sing that part because I find it intimidating. Our boys always step up to challenges, which is what I love about them. Great reaction, I loved every minute of it. Thanks guys. I love seeing the three of you together.
JUNGKOOK has talent and a vocal technique to praise and envy what he does with his voice, it is not easy, it takes study and preparation.
People who don't understand the subject miss it when they praise the different register types, tones and the high notes of the other members.
But what he knows how to do with his voice and the absolute control he has and the ability to assimilate and mix his voice perfectly with another vocalist is the reason why he is the Main Vocalist of the group since his short 15 years when he debuted.
