- If you struggle to improve your drumfills, than the grouping system is THE answer.
Instead of learning a few random fills from internet or any fill book you can find, learn 1 system that allows you to play a thousand fills!
Stop copying and start creating.
Here is your FREE FILL GUIDE 👏

Congrats on delivering the information in a clear and concise matter!
Also, thank you for not stretching the video to more than necessary!
Looking forward to part 2!
Thank you so much! Really Appreciate it! Did you grab the free guide to accompany the video?! I'll be working on part 2 asap!
@@eddievandongendrums Thank you!
Regarding the guide, I don't see a link on the description, am I missing something?
Thank you again!
@@unowcres should be in there right now! It wasnt copied properly!
Dude, great lesson. Within 5 minutes my fills sounded interesting. Why didn't I think of this!?!
@@drummermike5150 woow dude!! Thank you so much!! Happy to hear it!
This is exactly what I needed. Thanks! Standing by for part two. 💪
@@DropFive0 woow thank you dude!! Appreciate it so much!
I learnt something like this earlier on and is a game changer. I'm glad you made this video as a refresher for me and to show new drummers.
@@TheAverageDrummer happy it helps!! Did you download the free pdf??
Helps actually!!
Thank you! Happy to hear!
Part 2 ASAP!!
Working on it!
Thanks man
@@mungufenivictorvair8o203 super welcome!!
I am very interested in seeing a snare groove section tutorial on a song called “in the river“ by Jesus Culture. I think the first fill you showed on the snare was similar to the snare groove in the song but I’m not sure. My brain can’t seem to grasp it and I can’t find a good break down on it anywhere. Thanks!
P.S. great video!
@@seanhidalgo4668 i’ll see into it!! Let you know what it is !
Hello I cannot open the Free Fill Guide .There is some you can do about it.Thank you
@@SuperOnit1 apologies!! The link was expired since we changed platforms!
Here is the right link:

Very well explained and shown at a tempo that's easy to understand and assimilate.
Thanks so much for your generous teaching, it's an instant subscribe for me.
One thing though, in your description... "If you struggle to improve your fills, THEN ... ", not "than" 😉
@@vladpadowicz5946 mate thank you SO much!! And thanks for the spelling mistake, man I struggle with that one ALL the time!!! I keep messing it up…
Got the golden tip to avoid that mistake?
@@eddievandongendrums"Than" is used when comparing stuff, "louder than", "bigger than", "faster than", "rather than", etc. "Then" is related to time, "back then", "just then", "since then", "until then". "Then" answers the question of "when". "When did it happen? It happened then". "Then" is also used in conditional "if-then" statements like "if you want to play faster then start by practicing slower".
Can't thank you enough for the inspiration and amazing content! I'm a fan! Any tips on getting my channel above 500 subs?
@@Popupdrumvideos happy that it helps!!
Post consistently and post content that solves a problem for other drummers!
Totenhosen!!!
This is basically gospel chops he’s teaching so for anyone who wants a more advanced look at these type of fills, look up chops
Chops, groupings, whatever you wanna call it, this is the way I look at it and learned it from my coaches, Benny, Jost, Mike.
What mostly is missing is the basic explanation of this concept. Gospel chops, fills, groupings, its all just singles, doubles and a combination of this.
We NEED a better framework instead of having the young drummers JUST copy some random stuff. I like to share the why, the how and show other drummers that it is actually super simple and you just need the framework. ;)
So advanced version is gospel chops? In my opinion its all the same. I did not invent this, it is just a way of simplifying it for other drummers!
@@eddievandongendrums So to explain what I meant, chops is the simplest term to search on CZcams and from there anyone interested in creating fills like this will then also learn about how to get better at paradiddles, how to incorporate them into the methods you’ve shown here and how to expand on them. Most of the stuff I’ve seen gets drummers practicing their paradiddles and then encouraging them to experiment once comfortable. Which is what you’re doing here as well, so it was a suggestion for more source material to see how these kinds of groupings can be incorporated into playing.
@@lvsselle very true my friend!! Apologies if my message came across a little edgy, that was not my intention!! Much love man! We’re spreading the same love for drums!
@@eddievandongendrums Yeah I’ve found once I started searching gospel chops, pages like yours started appearing and you see drummers like Eric Moore etc explaining how to start make fills more creative. It’s finding better ways to navigate the CZcams algorithm.
@@lvsselle exactly ✌🏻
0:57 "I don't like to waste time on CZcams". Are you the anti-Stephen Clark? I like his videos but his actual lesson never starts before the 7 or 8 minute mark.
