I like that the last track is called "the end of childhood" like we are being told that these 12 episodes were a warm-up before nightmare
Well... if you haven't read the manga yet, you'll be surprised how right you are. I strongly recommend to read it tho, it's excuisite.

"Sweet dreams" is so calm but still so energetic. This music plays when Denji jumps out the dumpster.. it was so powerful
And at aki's fight with himenos ghost that gave him the cigarette that says "easy revenge"

The way "Edge of Chainsaw" and "Sword of Hunter" have the same rhythm at the beginning but when it comes to the middle it becomes different

For all who are asking for a specific scenes ost. Listen to all the songs, they use small bits of each ost on the episodes, that’s why it might be difficult to find for some.

The fact that Kensuke Ushio made the soundtrack for both A Silent Voice and Chainsawman baffles me. You can hear so many similarities in the tracks- Which makes it even better because I love both Chainsawman and A Silent Voice despite having very different themes, subjects and overall moods.

My favourite is 33:13 "you were here " that whole Scence in the blimp when himeno says-- "smoking can increase socialization" and then aki says--" he has no intention of smoking or socializing " the way he says it his calm demeanor his voice his hair rustling and the music in the background. It felt surreal . Thanks CSM and everyone involved during that scene.

Ever since the first PV trailer, I’ve been in love with the track that would come to be named “livingroom”, such a good name too. It fits the calm/quiet and intimate moments of csm so well it never stops to amaze me. Even now and then when reading and following part 2 of the manga I play it to be in the mood and immerse myself. Definitely my favorite track as of now.
Soon as Sweet Dreams starts playing all I can hear is "Aki can cry" Such impactful moments tied to this song makes it stand out to me

Last track "the end of childhood" is like having premium hearing lol, I'm not even kidding, listening to it makes me feel like I'm in a dream, a parallel universe, it made me feel and see memories I've never had. It's like feeling life and feeling alive, it's just so amazing for me. I'm grateful to whoever produced/composed this track ❤

the mellow tracks like looking for something and good night, boy just hit different, so soothing.
I finally know which track is "sweet dreams"! That was my favourite one along the series; tbh the tune reminds me a little of a couple of Linkin Park songs and that makes me nostalgic lol; it also sounded in some of the most emotional or tense scenes and it helped a lot with the feeling
Let's not forget when the ED 3 plays in some moments it's amazing

For me trilogy of - 'that's a dream come true ' - 'dream... come true?' - 'the end of the childhood' is the best way to describe my feelings to the show. Because when first starts with OBSCURE sounds, like the dreaming is, the second one goes with CLEAR sounds of piano and background, like when the dream come true, and third one... you need to know why the childhood ends and when you'll notice the tempo rises, the sounds now louder, but still so light, calm, and dreamy to keep the flow, i feel the story continues in the way, that only a dream can represent😊

amo Sweet Dreams :'( el temita de Himeno, es precioso. más que el personaje en sí, creo que su presencia y luego su muerte le dio un giro inesperado a la trama, sobretodo por los nuevos propósitos de Aki, así tambien porque hace que Denji se cuestione su capacidad de sentir, etc. Este ost es perfectooo, pero yo me quedo con las rolitas sad y con the edge of chainsaw, con esa te vuelves invencible xD

'run' fits to Makimas rampage moments very well, it's intense and gives her a very terrifying aura.
Knowing that her nice-friendly appearence with employes, especially to Denji is all more an act to keep things balanced and playing for her while chasing her actually goals where I don't know yet what it is (I only watched the anime) shows her 'true nature' or other side, fearless, powerful, cold, terrifying. She also doesn't seem to be a simple human herself. Very mysterious.

Livingroom has to be one of my favorite songs from this anime series, like it's so nostalgic, familiar yet eerie and sad, it's hard to explain the feeling, but is melancholic with a hint of a joyful past, yet the present it bleak and dry. Reminds me of quake OST and would fit in well if it played in the backrooms or some kind of liminal space.

Les premières notes d'une musique à Xal Tural dans Final Fantasy XIV m'ont trop fait penser à Sweet Dreams.
The fact that sweat dreams is so calmed to everyone but they are really mistaken, it’s emotional, super emotional, and for “dream… come true?”is emotional too, but when Makima is coming it’s really getting scarier, so half of these are funny&emotional&s upper vibed&horror.
