    Grandioso trabajo.

Half these songs and groups I never heard of in the USA. It is hard to believe they were the top.

12:05 A song that means something totally different to kids than it does to adults, lol
It sounds like a kids song with rather nonsensical lyrics, but adults are quick to note that the song is actually about Nuclear War.
I've been a bit obsessed with this song lately, along with Shriekback's "Nemesis".

Donna Summer and Mathew Ward went to #70 in 1983 with the song Love Has A Mind Of It's Own.

Jeez, I was THERE and I don't know 75 percent of these. Also, a lot of them sound like the 70s hadn't ended!

Wow forgot about Evelyn Champagne King's "Betcha". I didn't really know when that came out. And the song "Pease Mr. Postman" has been covered a dozen times.

I’m afraid the Americans were stuck in a musical rut in the U.K. guitar based acts were out but in America one record just sounded the same as another no wonder there was a second British Invasion

I hate that Janet Jackson smiles when she sings in most of her videos. Grrrr
